Shocking she's 40 and alone... wahhh, wahhh... screeching, drinking, ad nauseam. Nothing new here to see. I can't believe this show is still on!! 7 Link to comment
CainF August 14 Share August 14 Whitney is turning 40, have you heard (ad nauseum)? I've been hesitant to snark on this show publicly this season, but it's so very awful and the worst thing any TV show can be - boring (not that it was ever captivating other than maybe the first season or the episode every now and then when somebody seriously calls Whitney out on her nonsense). Whitney's turning 40 and wants a husband and baby. Jamie has yet another Bachelorette party. Whitney's home for recovering addicts now showcases Todd. Whitney is a great aunt, have you seen the efforts she's making with her newfound family? Jesus if people aren't watching or flocking to this site to review, it's because it all seems like reruns. There's going to be some kind of party or event, and Babs will be brought up constantly, if not also in banners and signage for the event. Enough already. Whoever is scripting this show needs to be fired. Trying to make Hunter's love life interesting is not going to work, since Hunter is the second least interesting person in the cast after their dad. Never has a recap of the first time two people told each other 'I love you' been so vapid, and it's certain that somebody thought the story was cute. I would have seen to it that whole part got trashed to the cutting-room floor. 9 Link to comment
BAForever August 14 Share August 14 Still addicted to this sh******. Whit seems a tad more self-aware of her stage in life now, but desperation never looks attractive on anyone seeking a relationship. Question- why hold on to Glen's house? Sell it as is, take the profit (am sure it's paid off) and run. It's way too big. Glen can afford something lovely on 1 level, maybe a senior living facility. No reason to keep her childhood home. 3 Link to comment
Mollywolly555 August 14 Share August 14 I will say, the most honest, poignant moments of the show were when Jessica talked about her fertility issues, specifically endometriosis. I felt so sad for her and her cute hubbie, cuz they seem like authentically kind people. I wish them the best. 5 Link to comment
applewood August 14 Share August 14 In the previews for next week, it looks like Lenny states the elephant in the room. The main thing holding her back in dating is her weight. Actually, there are probably several other things as well. But a lot of guys are not going to date someone her size. Forgive my ignorance, but how long did she and Lenny date? They don't seem compatible at all. His girlfriend seems totally different than Whit. I agree with those who say they should sell the big house. Glen really doesn't need the whole house. He could just get some small one level house. He could have an extra bedroom for Hunter when he visits if that is what they are worried about. 8 1 Link to comment
Pi237 August 14 Share August 14 That was disgusting. I can't. Let me know if a confident, funny, interesting fat woman who won't be gross for ratings ever gets a show lol 7 2 Link to comment
Passing Strange August 14 Share August 14 Angie, with her over-bleached hair and tacky outfits, saying that Jamie's friends have great taste (in cheap-looking lingerie). I can't even. The Alabama family seems nice enough, but they're even more boring than Whitney's old boyfriends and their wives. I don't believe for one minute that all the We Are Family stuff will continue beyond this show. 10 Link to comment

Mollywolly555 August 14 Share August 14 Whit's weight that prevents her from getting the kind of man that she thinks she deserves.....a hot, fit, cool guy. Her weight does not prevent her from getting a nice guy, with middlin' looks. I really think that's what everyone is trying to say when they say that she is too picky. I know older ...50s, 60s, ladies without great bodies, who met and married wonderful normal guys. I do know one woman who was fat... almost to Whits level.... and about early 50s, who got a really handsome silver fox 60s guy....idk how cuz I thought she was bossy and self absorbed. Like Whit. They ran in the same upper social classes also so had mutual friends. I also know average elderly women who got elderly guys. It's about personality and caring, kind attitudes AND common interests to share and which gets them out to socialize with others. Think of clubs, churches, bikers, bar-trivia teams, pickleball groups, dog parks, Meetup.com, etc. Does Whit have ANY outside interests ? I doubt she works out or walks her own dog. She needs to go put to dance clubs. They have over 40 nights. 3 4 Link to comment

Tipsymcstagger August 15 Share August 15 Whitney’s colored contacts are so off putting in her narration clips. She seems to have nice eyes so not sure why she’s going for something so obviously fake. That being said - the constant “whoa is me…I’m almost 40…am I too picky?” is just so beyond boring. We get it. And to make the bachelorette party all about her was just so on brand. But honestly - Jamie is so obviously in this for the exposure and “clout” - that I couldn’t care less that her one millionth bachelorette party was hijacked by a narcissist. And it may be an unpopular opinion - but I find Angie hard to look at and listen to. She’s just so cringe. And bless the sex tutorial woman for going there and doing her thing. I found the whole thing tacky af - but the way Jamie talked about her with disgust really rubbed me the wrong way. Jamie isn’t nearly as beautiful as she and her mom seem to think she is. BLUF - this show needs to be put to pasture. Let Glen grieve in private and sell the damn house so he’s not stuck in a huge Bab’s mausoleum that he’s too old to maintain. Let Whitney ride off into the sunset with Kenny and send the Alabama clan anywhere as long as it’s off my television. 8 2 Link to comment

Interesting for Lenny to say, considering that during his heyday the "met online" and continued to date and he even "painted" her naked portrait. And now he's not into that, you say? 😂😂😂 On 8/14/2024 at 7:32 PM, Mollywolly555 said: It's about personality and caring, kind attitudes AND common interests to share and which gets them out to socialize with others. She needs to go put to dance clubs. They have over 40 nights. I've been saying this for years - if she wants to meet a regular guy she needs to do this! If she wants to go online there is a niche market for someone her size, and she claims not to like it. (Except the year that she met the Jewish guy that she was "converting" for - she was thrilled to report that he liked "bigger women"! And look how that turned out!) 2 1 Link to comment

Yeah No August 18 Share August 18 The change in Whitney from being an obnoxious narcissist in some kind of fake competition with Jaime to practically being her prim and proper "spinster aunt" is striking and I'm not buying any of it. I think Twit is reacting to what she sees as online criticism with this new more mature, almost "den-mom-ish" attitude around Jaime and her friends. And she's pouring it on too thick. Suddenly she is embracing her age and stage of life and putting the emphasis on finding a life partner and having children. And meanwhile she's doing nothing to make it happen. Not that I think there are many great ways to make it happen at 40, mind you. It's a bad age because it's after most people who want a life partner have found one and are busy having that relationship and children. It's also before many of them fall apart and get divorced. So I do not judge her for being upset about the lack of options because that's real to a degree. I do wonder why she didn't see that coming sooner and try to avoid it. This business with "The Frenchman" has me irked too because if he's fake is she that desperate to make it seem like she's still involved with someone? But if he's fake why would she invent someone and not hire someone that wouldn't mind being on TV like she did with all her other fake boyfriends? Something about this has been bothering me for years now. If there was anything real about this relationship how would she have gotten anywhere with it becoming permanent? She couldn't have him on the show because he refused to be on it and he didn't want to move. This does not sound like a man that's all that into her but maybe a "friends with benefits" situation. Was she TRYING to sabotage herself? Even from my limited perspective it was obvious that either he was fake or real and a friend with benefits arrangement, and she was in denial about it ever working out for a committed relationship. Speaking of fake boyfriends, I think Lenny was one of them. That's why they are still friendly. He was hired to play her boyfriend on the show. No one has any proof of this but it has been widely suspected. I think Buddy was also in that category although they were genuine friends and may, according to her, at one time in the distant past had some kind of romantic connection. BTW, I thought the whole thing about making her sister Angie the one to hire that teacher of all things cucumber-like was fake. Usually Twit would be the one to author something like that but since she is pushing herself as the now puritanical spinster aunt that wants a real relationship that is not something she wants to do so they made Angie do it. And of course Angie is more than happy to do whatever she can for the $$$. And of course then they had to make her daughter cringe that her mother would do such a thing. So fake!! 2 1 2 Link to comment
Gramto6 August 18 Author Share August 18 Speaking of Angie, she does seem to have a bit of a wild streak in her. I think being exposed to Whitney has released it more along with the whole "TV fame" situation. They are definitely "related" I just can't believe that wild gene came from Glen!! 1 1 1 Link to comment

Because the last one she hired impregnated his real girlfriend before she even had a chance to do her "Say Yes to the Dress" episode! 😂. This "frenchman" was someone she met on line and hired to teach/practice conversational french. When she decided to start talking about him on the show as if he was actually a boyfriend, he wisely chose not to make an appearance. Lennie part 1 was hired - I believe people at the time found out that's not even his real name. Buddy and her "lesbian" date and Lennie Part 2 were doing her a favor. The Jewish guy who liked "bigger women" seemed legit and I think she really liked him until it turned out he had a "bigger" girlfriend in many, many locations. I can see why she thought Roy was likely (if not "in the bag") but it was her decision to humiliate herself when he tried to kindly tell her he wasn't interested. If she really truly wants to meet someone, she needs to get off the tv, get a job, go to church, take up a hobby, take a class, seek out meet-up groups - there are many options to get out in the world and meet people. Hanging around the house with Dadwe and Todd isn't going to get her anywhere. 6 Link to comment

I forgot about how the one who got his real girlfriend pregnant ruined the script because it got out. But she was still able to make her "true believers" think he was a real boyfriend that cheated. You're probably right that she didn't want to risk that again so the next fake boyfriend was one we would never even see. 3 1 Link to comment

That's why LeBlur is never seen, and Chase is history because he and his real girlfriend made a baby while Chase was engaged to Whit. Someday I'll count up all the boyfriends. Does the Fitness Marshall count? Roy- the gay radio guy? Buddy? Ken? What constitutes a relationship? 1 1 Link to comment
Mollywolly555 August 21 Share August 21 Tell meeeee, (chomp chomp) whats wrong with meeeeeee( comp, chomp, comp)? But I'll take anything you dare to say as an insult, a stupid idea, or I'll put you down in return, or bug-eyed, open mouth surprise! Meeee? No one wants to lose an easy paycheck. Self-delusion, thy name is Whitney. Well, hard to believe i know, but going to a flooring store rivals the car wash. Wahhhhh! I don't like basketball. :( Wahhhh! Daddy said mean things to me. Dibs August 21 Share August 21 (edited) What was Buddy doing at the flooring store? Don't they live in different cities now? That was so random! Gotta earn his paycheck somehow, I guess. There are plenty of 40-year-old men getting divorced, but they also have a lot of 20-year-old (not obese, not obnoxious) women in the dating pool to choose from. Chase - or Casey, his real name - received a lot of harassment from Whitney fans after that debacle; he might even have sued TLC. That would discourage them from producing a "real" flesh-and-blood fake boyfriend actor the next time. I'm personally convinced Le Blur is one of the producers; I've heard his voice (sans the fake French accent) before. Edited August 21 by Dibs 4 1 Link to comment
Mahamid Frauded Me August 21 Share August 21 I am just not buying this sympathy tour she is trying on TV. I do think she got a lot of backlash for her behavior and is trying to redeem herself on the show, but she is absolutely obnoxious and a bitch on SM. Her not getting a date is because she is a c u next Tuesday, not because she is overweight 4 1 Link to comment
