If you don't like Patton Oswalt, this one could be tough. Seconds-long player interactions, often "what will you do with the money" followed by a quippy answer

Spoiler

("butt lift")

for example, which I'll hide since I'm not sure it aired yet, is the only non-Patton content. He's good, I like him. But it's a lot of Patton. Speaking of the money, the "let's see what the jackpot is now" excitement is kind of  tempered by the fact that we know it's gonna end up around $90,000 or so, depending on how many make it to the end. Not like it's some geometric progression. $1000 each time a player drops and there are 100 players, so it's less than $100K based on a few little twists.

I like this show. There is far less filler contestant interaction than on most other game shows which is a plus for me. I wonder about the questions, though. They all seem really easy to me(maybe it’s just the way my brain works), and sometimes the 10% or 20% question will seem way easier than one of the earlier questions. I feel for the people who get knocked out on the first or second question. Maybe just nerves or misclicking? They seem like no-brainers.

@SG429, I don’t think your spoiler is necessary as that aired on Monday.

One of the early outs, in a Patton Drive-By, implied they knew they picked wrong but couldn't change it. What we don't know is if they ran out of time, or only get one chance to pick an answer, thus a nervous misclick.

I really like the original UK version of the show. I like Patton Oswalt, so I was pretty sure I'd like this one too. But it's way too obvious that they cast the US version with a lot of internet personalities and wannabe actors. The contestant interactions are pretty cringe; Lee Mack pulls that off better on the original. This is still far ahead of that Would I Lie to You adaptation they tried though.

We didn't discover this show until until the 4th episode, so watched that and epi 5 by ffing by the contestant interactions with Patton. We then watched 1 and 2 on Demand, a little harder to ff so listened to the interactions. I find how people missed really easy questions much more interesting than listening to the ones that got it right. I do not mind Patton though, and we do love to challenge ourselves so overall find this to be an enjoyable show.

I think one advantage viewers at home have, after a few episodes, is that we understand the direction they’re going on many of the questions. The contestants on stage are seeing this for the first time.

True, but some of the questions are old stand-bys (like the snail in the well).

Even though some of them are just panicking and it's different to be in a studio, I will say it again - there are some really dumb people out there. (There are also some really smart people, too.)

On the latest episode (title was something about goats) - did anyone else's eye twitch ever so slightly at Patton's reaction to one contestant's profession?  "You own a tech firm???" like that was harder to believe than, say, goat farmer.  This was a young/middle-aged person whose clothing and hairstyle would be right at home at a Chamber of Commerce meeting.  It surely wasn't because she wasn't a white man, right, Patton?  Right?  You were so shocked because you were expecting something like balloon artist or snail collector, right?

Also, in case you haven't watched yet,

Spoiler

Bummer for the two guys at the end.  I didn't have a clue either.

It was so easy after he gave the word.  I was actually trying up down left right grrr.  Felt bad for them.

If you haven’t watched the Sept 9 episode, skip what’s under the spoiler tag, unless you don’t care if you get spoiled.

How the hell did we lose

Spoiler

17 people on both the eggplant question and the one about the name of Micki’s mom’s 4th child along with Kia, Lia, and Mia?

I really hope they were silly misclicks and/or just picking something randomly because time was running out.

@SoMuchTV, I didn’t take Patton’s comment the same way you did. For me, it was more shock that she was doing something other than “influencer” or “reality star”, not that owning a tech company was unbelievable.
