I don't consider myself a "shipper" as such, but I was expecting Kat and Elliott to get together by the end of the series so it was 'Yay nerd boy!" Then they brought Kris Holden-Ried into the story and if Kat never goes back to her time that's ok too.

Kat is insufferable. The pond doesn’t work in annual cycles - if it wants her to go back to help Jacob recover, she could have still taken care of her current time responsibilities and gotten back in time. I wish the writers had made it more that she just couldn’t focus.

I’m not either, but the writers seem to be going out of their way to send out those Hallmark “sparks” between the two, while downplaying any chemistry between Elliot and Kat. FWIW, I can’t get past the image of “Chevalier” (Versailles) when I look at Elliot’s pretty face.

“I’m not a witch, I’m a time traveler.” Hee, what a line. Kat does have a point, why is a witch believable but not a time traveler?

Finally, after THREE EPISODES,  Jacob appears to finally be conscious and aware of Kat.

I enjoyed this episode if for no other reason think at least two plots actually had some movement, even if I didn't really have any interest in Nick recognizing Alice in the present.

I don't know where they are going with Nick recognizing Alice. First, I don't buy her voice is so distinct he would remember it. Second, even if he did think the voice sounds the same, no one is going to jump to time travel being real. But more importantly, what is he supposed to do once he learns the secret and who Alice is? She is 17 and he is 40-something.

I loved that when Kat ran off to the pond at the beginning Del chased after her. It is clear something is up with Kat and Del really deserves to know at this point. I get not telling her originally, because who would believe it, but it is the right thing to do. I'm guessing Kat is resisting since then she'd have to admit her presence is what made Colton crash.

Does she? Because I think Kat can leave that part out.

As for Del chasing after Kat, that seemed more like it was about Del being mad about the shitty issue of the paper that went out. Which— someone actually didn’t like the paper and called Kat’s mom to tattle on her? I just thought that was so weird.

I don't think Del was specifically upset about the paper. She's been increasingly upset with Kat for her repeated disappearing acts and concerned by Kat's obvious preoccupation with something she won't talk to her about.

Del has mentioned Kat's repeated absences throughout the season. And she was already upset that Kat bounced from the Founders' Day event after less than an hour both for personal reasons and because she was aware Kat was supposed to be covering it for the paper.

And Del isn't wrong. Kat has let basically everything in her life slide in pursuit of Jacob.  Hell, she even forgot about Alice until Thomas reminded her that there is someone else she cares about and that she doesn't have "nothing" if her little brother isn't the idealize man who is overjoyed to rejoin her in the future that she has been fixating on.

And it was the mayor who called Del to ask WTF was up with Kat when s/he saw the amateurish and badly done (in a manner obvious to literally everyone) issue covering the town's premiere tourist event. I assume that Del is well known to the mayor and he or she was calling Del as a friend to ask how the Hell Kat had published an issue that might not have passed the inspection of the editor of a high school paper.

Also, Kat lives with Del, so maybe the mayor called the house because they couldn't reach Kat and thought Del would know if something was really wrong?

But I agree, Del was not upset about the paper itself, but knew it was a sign of a bigger problem.

Well, true, I guess she could. But if she admits to time traveling to that time period, Del might start to question if she was the other woman at the funeral and then have more questions.

Being that Del thought Colton was having an affair because of Kat at the funeral, I think telling her that part would be very reassuring. However, no good can come from telling Del about the crash. Kat and Alice should take that one to their graves.

Kat needs to be fired from the paper.  She's so obsessed with her brother in the past she doesn't care about the present. Including her child.

I'm more interested in the party secret that has Elliott and Alice involved.

I only just remembered this but I couldn’t believe how long Alice and… I forget his name, Food Truck Guy’s program took to render an image from a photo negative. I picked up some cheap box from Wal Mart or Target that’ll instantaneously show you the picture when you feed a negative into it.
