The forum is created: Bronx Zoo ‘90: Crime, Chaos and Baseball.
  2. In the episode where Ross is dating the hot woman who lives in a pile of garbage, I noticed in the background a completely full bottle of dish soap by the sink and a completely full bottle of pine sol on an end table. I bet the prop department had a blast setting up that scene.

I wasn’t asking the question, I was answering it. My post was a link to an article about the documentary.

Apparently, that team was a giant dumpster fire.
  5. Ripley sold Dickie’s boat. So he has the money from that. Plus, he cashed as much money from the trust that he could before Dickie’s death closed it out.

I think it’s just Boston that does that. Besides, you know, the Yankees that don’t do names at all.

Ha, some browsing through X is enlightening. For teams like the Braves, Twins and Tigers, where Xfinity is the primary cable provider, there is quite an uproar. But hilariously, the Dallas area primary cable provider is Spectrum. So there’s no uproar there. Xfinity is the primary provider in Houston, but there’s still not really an uproar because they don’t seem to care that they can’t watch the Rangers.

Because it’s Diamond Sports Group who negotiates, not the teams. It’s not just baseball affected, hockey and basketball teams are too, (offseason isn’t really a factor since the sports all have their own calendar). Each team basically gets $80 million from them (or whatever the price tag is) and lets them deal with all the broadcasting. Quite a few teams (some DSG teams, mostly the AT&T Sportsnet ones) have elected to strike out on their own and handle it themselves. Obviously, this would be the smarter thing to do, because all the teams that retain their own broadcasting rights aren’t having this problem.

I had been thinking it was time for Trout’s annual IL stint…

I really do hate the Padres city connects. They look like an 80s Trapper Keeper.
  11. Nancy Thompson is getting fired!
  12. Fireman carry. Sling Freddie over the shoulder like a sack of potatoes.
  13. I actually liked Eliot Sumner as Freddie. The thing I didn’t buy is that Tom had such a hard time schlepping Freddie’s dead body around. Freddie just didn’t look very heavy.
  14. Yeah, but the point is that the inspector didn’t even ask. He clearly wasn’t buying anything “Dickie” had told him but he didn’t follow up and ask Tom about it.
  15. And for all the rigmarole about the boat, it being found bloody, burned and sunk, which is why they were presuming Tom dead, when the inspector interviewed Tom, he didn’t ask him about it. Wasn’t very good at his job, all things considered.
