Requesting help to change titles for locked threads.

Hi, Community Managers and Mods would it be possible to have some help choosing new titles for the locked threads?

Maybe a pinned thread where we could post suggestions and then a poll to determine the winner?

or however you’d like us to proceed.

I started a new Josh and Anna topic. I think somebody can start new topics for the other ones, where we take a step back and think about how going forward we can be mindful of being respectful, kind and inclusive.  I suggest putting in the same link I included in the Josh and Anna topic, so that everybody can get up to speed.

I made a snarky comment about the thread name. I apologize,  I thought the mods had names it. I did not mean to offend a fellow poster.

I am not offended at all, but I do sincerely appreciate the respect you're extending here to me!

I figured that it would be best for me to keep the topic title as straightforward as possible.

Nope but I did for starting this thread? 

They gave me a “Creator” badge for “ideating in a way that enhances collective understanding and creativity”  

I had no idea I was doing all that!

I'm confused by what's going on here. The notice said that the issue was people being unkind and disrespectful of each other, but locking down the threads and changing the names suggest that the issue is people being unkind and disrespectful to the Duggars. Can anyone clarify this for me?

And it's still in Red Light territory. I figured it would at least have been notched to Yellow if the new administrators wanted this to stay around. I really think they're just playing with us, giving the illusion and false hope that if we behave and follow their rules, they'll be gracious enough to "allow" us to keep our forum. 

I think come April, the whole Duggar corner of Primetimer will be unceremoniously dropped.

I seem to remember that at first, it was yellow, and then changed to red.

I'm confused as can be.  I read here almost every day, and I don't remember any posts that violated rules.  Was the locking done just because the thread titles were considered disrespectful?    Hmmm.

We really need to hear in more detail from the moderators. I am quite surprised by their silence. This has always been a great forum. I think we all have been quite respectful of one another. Just what exactly is/was the problem here?

No one knows, and the moderators aren’t answering our questions, either here or by direct messaging.

I get the feeling that they seem to think that we intuitively know what's wrong and how to fix it. Yeah, we get that there's no more Smuggar or Boob, but is there something else that needs to be addressed? I don't see it.

They must be aware of our bewilderment as they monitor these threads, right? If this is so, why are we not receiving any clear communication from them? I respectfully raise this question as I don't wish to be banned.

I think that there are clearly not enough people running the show these days and therefore, what few mods are here are overwhelmed.

I also get the impression that the crew that was brought in to clean things up was completely inexperienced in dealing with websites like this one and had no idea where to start.

This has unfortunately led to the posters being ignored rather than treated like the essential part of the equation that we are.

What if they had a website and nobody came?  They may be about to find out.

Well, I would be more than happy to offer my services in getting them up to speed from the posters' side of things. Or we could again offer, to do it as a group in the ST thread.

I will offer that most of us posters come here to relieve stress, 'waste' time, share opinions, discuss some ugly parts of life, to snark, to support one another and to laugh. Most of the time we handle ourselves respectfully, tactfully and inclusively in regard to each other and in regard those who we discuss.

Yes we need mods - but only occasionally. I would think we would be one of the easiest forums to moderate.

When I took the survey they offered when they blackboarded the royals thread, at the end it asked if people were interested in being mods. I answered yes (this was before I knew about the changes in the whole team). One of them got back to me about it, so they are looking for mods. I refused it, because right now my vertigo is kicking my butt. But if you're interested,  maybe you should volunteer.
