SVNBob February 9 Share February 9 While I'm not 100% sure how I found this (some sort of YouTube trawling looking into reaction videos of things, but I forget the exact chain that led me here), I recently completed watching The Watchers in the Bar (a group of friends/co-workers centered around a bar somewhere in Chicago, with all sorts of reaction video series...starting with Game of Thrones) 's reactions to both the original A:TLA and Korra. Like practically everyone, they loved the series and universe, so they're looking forward to this live action as well. They're prepared to watch the new series once it starts and release reaction episodes soon after, but they have reacted to both the official teaser and trailer. (Small warning: they made a lot of jokes that could "ruin your childhood" when they reacted to the two series, and they will most likely continue to do so in future. This group may not be for everyone.) They also reference another YouTube reaction channel; The Normies. They also covered both the original series and are very much looking forward to the new series And while I'm on the subject of reactions: Michaela Jill Murphy, the voice actress for Toph, has a series of A:TLA reactions on her channel. She's also reacted to the live action teaser (which appears to be her first reaction video) and the trailer. Link to comment
The Crazed Spruce February 9 Author Share February 9 Yeah, my recommendations have been flooded with reactions to the trailer. Some of my favourites.... And I'm watching Michaela Murphy's Avatar: TLA reactions, too. I hope she does the live-action series after it comes out. Link to comment
Maelstrom February 17 Share February 17 (edited) A couple of short interviews with the Gaang And one with Daniel Dae Kim and Paul Sun-Hyung Lee Flameo, Hotman! Edited February 17 by Maelstrom 2 Link to comment
Maelstrom February 20 Share February 20 Sorry, that high-pitched sound you hear is probably me squeeing like a fangirl More interviews than I can keep up with are coming out - Paul Sun-Hyung Lee sounds like a really cool guy, and the more I see of Ian Ousley, the more I'm convinced he's actually Sokka 3 Link to comment
The Crazed Spruce February 20 Author Share February 20 I only know Paul Sun-Hyung Lee from the handful of episodes of "Kim's Convenience" I've seen. But judging from that alone, he's probably the best person they could've possibly cast to play Iroh. That clip only proves it. 3 Link to comment

thuganomics85 March 6 Share March 6 (edited) And here is Daniel Dae Kim telling the rest of the cast the news: after a little bit of next level trolling! Not sure if Ozai would be impressed or offended by him toying with their emotions like that! Glad we are getting a proper conclusion. And hopefully avoiding a Stranger Things situation with the younger cast. Edited March 6 by thuganomics85 2 1 5 Link to comment
Maelstrom March 6 Share March 6 (edited) Just coming here to post that! Ozai's evil clearly wore off on DDK 😄 And I think Ozai would be disappointed that he didn't manipulate them more and get them to concede their utter defeat. Here's a fun one about their approach to bending And about the creatures Edited March 6 by Maelstrom 4 Link to comment
Lugal March 9 Share March 9 Nice interview with Yvonne Chapman, Avatar Kyoshi herself. 3 Link to comment
BetterButter April 4 Share April 4 Netflix’s ‘Avatar: The Last Airbender’ Showrunner Albert Kim to Step Down, Jabbar Raisani and Christine Boylan to Lead Final Two Seasons 1 Link to comment
Maelstrom April 5 Share April 5 Hmmm... I wonder what this means for the show going forward? Link to comment
incandescent April 6 Share April 6 Jabbar Raisani's forte for season 1 was directing/vfx. Assuming Christine Boylan is taking over the writing responsibilities of a showrunner, considering she was credited for the script of Ep 3... I don't love it. 1 Link to comment
Maelstrom April 6 Share April 6 Not quite sure what to think of all this - I don't want to immediately jump on the doom and gloom bandwagon, but all these bts changes don't give me a great feeling, so... 🤷🏻♀️ Found an article with some additional not-promising tidbits but I have no idea if this site is remotely reliable or if this is all pure spec pulled out of thin air, so take with a barrel of salt: https://knightedgemedia.com/2024/04/christine-boylan-jabbar-raisani-showrunner-netflix-avatar-the-last-airbender-season-2-exclusive/ Quote There’s a possibility that production will also move out of Vancouver, though not confirmed. We have also been notified that Netflix may give each subsequent season a lower episode count to increase the number of views each season receives. However, this is also not set in stone just yet. Trini July 16 Share July 16 Also from months ago, but I thought it was worth sharing. The only crack I thought was undeserved was about Zuko's "theater kid" energy. First off - out of the younger actors, Dallas is pretty much killin' it here; 2.) 'theater kid energy' fits with Zuko's characterization from the original. I mean, the entire royal family tends toward being drama queens, soo... 1 Link to comment

Maelstrom September 20 Share September 20 Can’t wait to see Toph in action! 🥳 A few tidbits with Gordon - hoping the stuff about a ‘darker tone’ is just speculation https://comicbook.com/anime/news/avatar-the-last-airbender-gordon-cormier-interview-future-scenes/ https://comicbook.com/anime/news/avatar-the-last-airbender-star-gordon-comrier-season-two-dark-tone-exclusive/ Link to comment
AntFTW September 20 Share September 20 Well don’t they just give the barest of minimums… Link to comment
The Crazed Spruce September 23 Author Share September 23 Season 2 of the original series had "Zuko Alone", "Appa's Lost Days", and everything to do with Ba Sing Se. Frankly, I'd be disappointed if it didn't have a darker tone. Link to comment
Maelstrom September 23 Share September 23 Yeah, season 2 definitely has a darker tone, but I just hope they don’t get so carried away that the show becomes as dark and dismal and generally hopeless as all of the other shows out there these days. Also, if they go easy on us with “Appa’s Lost Days” I won’t mind at all 😢 3 Link to comment
