Whimsy August 4, 2023 Share August 4, 2023 Quote While Mickey recovers from a brutal encounter, Izzy wrestles with regrets. Lorna devises an artful way to serve a subpoena. Maggie makes a huge decision. Original airdate 8/3/23 Link to comment
twoods August 4, 2023 Share August 4, 2023 (edited) Glad we didn’t have to wait too long for the second half. Poor Izzy. I knew her partner was shady but not like that. She deserves to be happy. I was wondering why the actor who plays Alex Grant looked familiar, and then I found out he was on Party of Five. Reunion with Neve Campbell! Edited August 4, 2023 by twoods 1 2 Link to comment
Raja August 4, 2023 Share August 4, 2023 Maybe it was in missed dialog but I couldn't figure out how long Mickey was laid up for. I know Izzy felt guilty because her ex was the set up man for the robbery and assault but they seemed to be signaling something when she was around with the first ex wife and his daughter Link to comment

peeayebee August 4, 2023 Share August 4, 2023 We got a shot of the very dead flowers in his hospital room. Not sure how long that would indicate, but it was definitely supposed to show he'd been there a while. I don't care about Mickey and Maggie. 1 Link to comment
SnapHappy August 5, 2023 Share August 5, 2023 I kept waiting for him to apologize to Lorna. I'm glad it didn't take long, because he was very condescending & nasty to her at the end of the previous episode. He's lucky she doesn't hold a grudge. I'm also glad Maggie is (supposedly) going to San Diego, they need to cut that shit out. Nobody can move forward if they keep backing up INTO each other. An occasional Maggie drop-in is fine. I like Hayley staying with Mickey while he recuperates. With her, Lorna & Izzy, he'll be fine. I really like Izzy, I want things to straighten out for her to get some confidence back. She's a really good character. 3 Link to comment

She's great When Mickey's in the parking garage & couldn't find the contracts with the podcaster in the back of the Lincoln, he called Lorna asking where they were. She said he hadn't given them to her, he argued, then accused her of forgetting because she was so wrapped up in her wedding plans. She of course replied with "Fuck You, Haller" before hanging up on him. Then he gets the shit beaten out of him. That's where the llast episode ended right before the break. I love Lorna too... 2 Link to comment
Irlandesa August 6, 2023 Share August 6, 2023 I have a tough time with his whole contract to sell Lisa's story for a podcast and a mini-series. One, I have a tough time believing this case is so tantalizing that they'd want to do a podcast/mini-series about it right now. Eventually? Sure. Maybe. But almost immediately after he died? Two, I don't think they need her rights to do a mini-series or even a podcast. It can be told through public information. I was hoping the new series Neve was initially going to be a part of would mean less of her in this series, but then ABC decided to not move forward with it and I don't think it has a new home. 2 Link to comment
Anela August 6, 2023 Share August 6, 2023 I like Maggie and Mickey. I thought they felt like they really had a history, when they were talking the next morning. But of course they aren't going to bring them together so soon, if at all. I really like Izzy, too, and I think Lorna is my favourite character. Link to comment

The podcaster and Lisa were friends, so I can see both of them wanting to do the story together. True crime podcasts are popular, and I would guess that it might be hard to find a story that some other podcaster isn't doing. Of course here the guy having the accused actually on the podcast would be a big deal. Link to comment

At the end of the episode, he was happy because he got the cast off. Most casts are on for 4-6 weeks. I love Izzy and her relationship with Mickey, but also now with Lorna. Link to comment

Lisa knew that Mickey had a contract for rights to her story/life -- so why didn't she check with him before meeting again with podcast guy? Lisa seems to have a lot of unrevealed issues. I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop with regards to her ex husband. It's pretty obvious it wasn't the ex who called Mickey. It's also hard to believe that Mickey was surprised when Lisa admitted to being on the street near the murder scene. Wouldn't a lawyer and his client go over locations and timelines with exhausting detail? Link to comment
