M. Darcy November 19, 2014 Share November 19, 2014 That's the 92Y interview! I finally was able to watch the entire thing. Its very good - he does a lot a talking during it. I wish the Imitation Game would finally open in the States - I cannot believe we have to wait until the 28th. I just bought the Alan Turing bio (they reprinted it with the movie poster on the front. What's interesting is in the US version - BC is facing the machine but in the UK version, he is facing front). My friend actually saw him this morning at JFK Airport! There is SO MUCH from his New York visit on the interwebs today, you'd think he'd have collapsed long since! M. rereader2 November 23, 2014 Share November 23, 2014 Some good (or at least lengthy) interviews/articles have been posted over the weekend: From NPR, Benedict Cumberbatch: Code Breaker Alan Turing Was A Puzzle Himself. (There's the audio of the full interview at the site as well.) From Vogue, what I assume is the story to go with Benedict's December cover: It’s a Benedict Cumberbatch Moment: The Oscar-Poised Rise of The Imitation Game Star. From the Daily News: Benedict Cumberbatch puts celebrity to use illuminating historical wrong in 'The Imitation Game'. From IndieWire, an analysis of some of Benedict's earlier roles. (And this one doesn't assume they are unknown to his fans, just that they are attention-worthy.) Similarly, PopMatters takes an in-depth look at Benedict's role in "To the Ends of the Earth." It seems to me that we're seeing a distinct shift toward "serious Oscar contender" in these sorts of articles. There is also a second photo of Benedict in the connected photo gallery, IIRC he's ninth. From Reuters, via Yahoo!News: Benedict Cumberbatch hails unsung hero in 'The Imitation Game'.
