Total Favorite part of the Show today, though, was Belle, just as joyously, pricking EJ's vengence balloon and taking all the air out of it.  Both of them had a bounce in their step I haven't seen for quite some time.

So how exactly does a time capsule, buried in a grave, exactly work?  Anyone digging it up in the future is going to look like a grave robber.  Not that that's exactly unbelievable in Salem.

Also, why would a Horton time capsule now be devoted solely to the memory of Abigail?  Or does her annoying personality cancel everyone else out even after death?

I was hoping somebody would have remembered to throw her virginity ring in there with the rest of the stuff.

 

I thought the Abby stuff was in addition to the rest of the Horton items? I might've been hearing something else.

I don't mind if it's short-term as long as it's a good relationship that doesn't demonize her. She needs to be normal for a while.

If this is purely to stall before Stefan comes back then JJ is just getting the Lucas treatment. 

Hopefully the new regime changes Ron's plans and leaves Stefan out of the series going forward. He brings nothing.

I'm catching up today and I have to ask: how many freaking funerals must Abigail have? Dear Lord.

Why would the time capsule be buried at her gravesite when they're still waiting to find out when where her body is? Aren't they just going to have to dig the grave up again once they find it?

This is the most nonsensical, falsely sentimental empty gesture they could have shoehorned in.

They could have just kept the box on a shelf in the Horton living room and then figured out where to put it. Besides, putting something in a grave probably means it's never going to be seen again by anyone.

Did they take out all of the stuff that was in there previously? Or are they burying all of those treasures from Grandma Alice along with this stuff as well?

Plus there's still the issue of the necklace that was stolen, right? So...are they putting that in the box again if they can?

Wouldn't they have buried some private items, like letters or pictures, with Abigail the first time she was put to rest?

I just can't make sense of this.

And then - did you guys see this? - Chad just put the box on top of the tombstone without digging! Like, it wasn't even in the ground or anything! Are the squirrels going to nibble at it and eat the treats inside now?

I'd laugh but it's just so hokey.

This show is obsessed with Abigail. And I swear if these are anvils because they plan on recasting her yet again and bringing her back for the umpteenth time, I would really like them to reconsider because nobody gives a shit at this point. For real.

Abigail brought nothing to the show but needless drama about who gets to bang her and I'm sorry to say that... but it's the truth. She was never some great, brilliant journalist or some wonderful member of society and she dragged Chad down as a character.

The sooner the show admits that and moves on, the better.

Plus, I find it really tacky that in the aftermath of Doug's death, they're somehow turning the family's grief back into grief for Abigail. Like, can we just focus on the fact that Doug is dead? For Real dead? Never going to come back to the show dead?

I want to like this post 1,000 times.  All this total garbage about how she was such a wonderful person, and EVERYONE just loved her is just that - TOTAL GARBAGE.  It was pretty funny when Cat was pretending to be her and everyone kept telling her about Abigail having sex with pretty much every male DiMeara except Stefano.  Let's not forget about cheating on Ben and basically stalking EJ while pretending to be Sami's friend - yet somehow she ended up being the victim in all that.

Other than a few mentions in passing it seems like Doug has been completely forgotten.  Terrible treatment of someone who actually DID become a well loved and admirable character.   Probably one of the reasons Hope had to leave so soon - she really couldn't even PRETEND to care that Abigail's body is missing.

Did anyone come here earlier in the day and noticed how wonky this forum was? 

I see it's back to normal now.

I do wish the show would make a decision where they stand with Abigail either move on from her or recast the character.  It makes you wonder why they killed off the character in the first place if they didn't know whether they wanted to move on from her or not. 

As for Brady/Ava I do think the actors have decent chemistry however like Kristen Ava is a sociopath(but way more watchable in comparison). They could've just brought TB back as Taylor again and pair her with Brady. Why is it so hard to pair Brady with a sane woman?

Except at this point, I'd prefer Chad to be with Abigail than with Kat, because it looks like the anvils are falling in that direction for sure.   I'm no fan of Abigail, but I'd take her over scrunched-up face Kat.
