I honestly don't remember the first two seasons being this bad but maybe my brain has blocked it out.

Once Gideon was gone and the keys were gone, the last fifteen minutes were just housekeeping so we could see everyone get their happily ever after. They didn't really need to spend that much time on closure.

The movie Kinsey and her friends made was bad even by 1950s standards. Maybe it was supposed to be campy but the audience was reacting as though it were some horror masterpiece. And a panel discussion with the audience? For something so amateurish it looked like it was made by third graders?

Clearly, the family was living elsewhere when the father was still alive, and the clock key did not transport people to other locations, so they must have had to go back in time then drive back to their old house to see their father. I don't know how long that would have taken but in the pilot it seemed like Key House was pretty far from where they were living before.

Also, did they tell their dad he was going to die? He must have wondered if not.

Lots of interesting concepts throughout this show, but the execution was mostly bad. Such a shame.

This show was far from perfect, but the one thing that I really enjoyed about it was the mythology of the keys and Keyhouse itself.  Obvi Emilia Jones is on skyward trajectory after CODA last year so I'm sure we will see these actors go on to work on weightier projects.

The ending was rushed, but I like how things ended up. Losing the keys makes me sad, but throwing them away is the smartest thing anyone has done in the shows entire history. They're fun, but seem to spell death for just about everyone who uses them. I know that this show is flawed, but I still enjoyed it a lot, the mythology and lore behind the keys is so interesting and I just love Keyhouse. Its such a cool location, mysterious but also homey. Its a nice easy binge.

This show also helped me find the comic, which I really liked and would recommend if you liked the ideas around the show but weren't so sure about the execution.

Kind of felt like the typical “stop the one who is most powerful and can destroy our whole world” type of deal with Gideon.

I agree with throwing the keys away because they brought too much trouble with them.

I hate to provide any defense of this season of the show, but: they did have the Anywhere Key at that point, so no road trip needed.

They probably should have done that at the end of each season, but they you would have had no more show...

I do think the show got weaker each season, but within this season, I think it hit the low point when Bode was a brat the entire episode and taunted Dodge in the past.  I don't know if because the subsequent episodes were shorter, but they moved pretty quickly and was able to ignore most of the stupidity more.  Gideon himself was really not that bright, so they were pretty well matched in a way.

There were also a couple of things that I thought were interesting like the arc of their Dad's killer and Gordie's mind shutting down as his life flashed before his eyes poignantly showing a not always happy life.   Their deaths also added a little weight in showing the loss and why they needed to get rid of the keys.

I liked most of the epilogue, but it probably could have been shorter.  I think I could have done without Kinsey and her boyfriend who I never really cared about and Tyler and Montana girl.   I wish shows did not feel they needed to rush or force a coupling because that is the main way to give a person a happy ending.  They could have just showed them getting ready to move on with their life post and monster fighting and post high school.  Plus, can't you just focus on a brother and sister transitioning from bickering juveniles to two adults siblings who like and respect each other.

Shouldn't there have been demon seeds jumping out of the portal with a bullet like speed like they did in the cliff where Eden and the Captain originally got shot and possessed?

Maybe I missed it, but what happend to Dodge's body after Bode-Dodge vanished? Did it, too, go away? I was actually hoping annoying Body would come back and inhabit Dodge's body for an episode, which might have actually been interesting. And the former mean girl who ended up in the well (I forget her name now), after they unceremoniously dumped her off the cliff someone would have found her, so another loose end.

I honestly didn't give a crap about the main battle, and I wish the entire story wasn't just so damned idiotic, but rather dealing with the keys themselves and their ramifications, rather than fighting a Big Bad. I think that would have been a more interesting story.

I was good with the epilogue, since I was more invested in their personal stories than the dumb twists and turns of the A plot.

A small fishing town in rural Nova Scotia Massachusetts probably never had anything filmed there so the locals would probably be interested in it if everybody knew everybody involved. I mean this show was almost as campy as The Splattering and it probably had a couple of million viewers, so....

The whispering didn't make sense since all the keys ever made were sent to the other dimension.

The portal wasn't completely opened because the big bad was missing a key or two, which is funny since he got tossed into the other dimension, but the other side couldn't come in.
