For Cereals January 30, 2022 Share January 30, 2022 It’s quiet in here. I feel cheated by the US educational system. We were never taught to tie knots! For once a show acknowledges the existence of zombies and hambies. 1 Link to comment

natyxg February 1, 2022 Share February 1, 2022 This was a good zombie show, but I think it was better suited for 8 episodes instead of 12. You want to see zombie action but at some point there was SO much zombie action that I was a bit fatigued, lol. But they were good with cliffhangers so you wanted to keep going episode after episode. I also liked what they did with the virus lore, and I kind of thought that it's a really obvious thing that most zombie shows/movies tend to ignore, when you think about it. Good show. 2 Link to comment

Viruses mutate, yet it's not something you tend to see in zombie stories. Except maybe Resident Evil, but there you get the sense that it's umbrella doing it, not it happening naturally. So it was like such an obvious development for a zombie show that at the same time no one had ever thought about before. Link to comment

meatball77 February 3, 2022 Share February 3, 2022 The creepiest thing is when the people turn and they break all their bones. The sound and movements when they do that. So scary. 1 Link to comment

Spoiler We might not tie knots as well, but I'm confident we would come up w/ a simpler yet infinitely better and less gross looking plan for using the bathroom. I'd start with not dismissing the completely logical suggestion of having the boys pee out the window. 1 1 2 Link to comment

ctmd February 21, 2022 Share February 21, 2022 I just started this yesterday, and watched the first 3 episodes back to back. It started a little slow, and perhaps because Im watching dubbed, I had a hard time at the beginning telling whether this was going to be a dramatic, scary show, or a campy zombie show. Bad dubbing really makes it hard to know sometimes. As it's found and defined itself more clearly, I am definitely loving it now, and have some thoughts. 1. Chicken-mom: was she really so clueless that as the city is being evacuated for Zombies, she heads out on her own, and tries to chit chat with a zombie just because she recognizes him? No thoughts of observing the scene before YELLING to someone, even if he weren't a zombie? 2. Chicken-son: at first I was thinking he had a crush on On-Jon, but now I'm wondering if he and On-Jon's crush are gay and have a thing for each other? (sorry I can't remember most people's name even on shows with traditional American names!) 3. Zombie Dad/Science Teacher and virus lore: I'm really enjoying the context of how the virus came out and how it works (triggered by fear response interacting with the hormone). Of course everyone we've seen turn for the most part has turned right away because they were terrified and being attacked. But with On-Jon's best friend (Izak?) and Chicken-son's friend "Welfy," they both seemed to turn very gradually, perhaps because they were not in an acute state of fight/flight as the people who turned completely while being attacked. This also may explain why benzodiazepines were helping the son and the first girl at school that the science teacher were giving shots to. It calmed their fear and muted the hormone reaction to rage. 4. The zombie kids at the playground were kind of hilarious to me, ganging up on the livestreaming guy who got in over his head. 5. I'm guessing On-Jon, her dad, and the cop that got out as Science Teacher died holding back zombies will be our heroes for the series. At least one of them will die, and I feel like it will be On-Jon's dad, while saving her. Looking forward to watching more!! They're long episodes, so I won't get to watch another 3 in a row :( 1 Link to comment

PrincessPurrsALot July 6, 2022 Share July 6, 2022 I enjoyed the show. I appreciated that the kids didn't just somehow know things without any idea of where that knowledge came from. Too many shows act like children are always smarter than their parents. They would say things along the lines of, "when camping with my dad, I learned . . . ". I also appreciated that they showed real grief. In so many shows, while everyone around them dies, there is one tear then everyone is back to kicking ass. They did care that their friends and families died. They also tried to support each other within the limited abilities of teenagers in a crisis. Of course, the number of highly aggressive zombies that were thwarted by a kick to the chest was getting ridiculously high. However, archery girl was great. South Korea is known for their archery teams. Why yes, I do follow women's archery. Who doesn't? 😁 Halfbies! Of course the virus mutates and some are partially immune. Bully boy was getting to be a bit much. Halfbies are incredibly strong. Nam Ra is so tiny and so fierce. However, I wouldn't want to sit next to her when she's hungry. The show did drag a bit in the later episodes when we got a lot of the teens in love stuff. I prefered it being more quietly stated than the focus of the discussions. At the same time, they did feel like high school romances. I could have done without almost every joke being at the expense of the heavy kids and them being treated like they were not capable of doing things. They could have had the one be a singer without having him sing about how much he likes chicken, pork, and trans fat. They set it up well for a second season. No need to forget what happened in season one to move forward. Link to comment
