I'm glad the show is on a break, because I need a break from it.

Chris Christie? Really? He's trying to play the role of reasonable moderate, but there is nothing reasonable about saying you would still vote for Trump. You can't have it both ways. Also, considering one of Bill's pet topics is obesity it's a wonder he didn't raise the issue this week with Christie on the panel.

Another rant about wokeness. Snore.

It was a much more entertaining ep than I thought it would be.  I'm still not on board with the Christie rehab tour, but it is nice to hear a Republican full-throatedly say some of the things he finally is saying.  Of course he couldn't see the irony in him saying things in politics take time and people will grow away from Trump slowly, but they eventually will in contrast to why hasn't Biden flipped the world over on its axis in a mere 10 months?

Christie was out blunted during his presidential run.  he was a 'speak your mind' kind of candidate, that people like, but someone else did it better, or worse, as it were.

and bill is right that bernie will not run again, as he is getting up there in age, just like biden and another.  maybe warren will run on the more "socialist" side of the ticket, as she's a little bit younger?  either way, its hard to say you are a decent person voting for the current anticipated gop candidate, considering what he did.

as for the dems not using "woke" anymore, its because the gop poisoned its use, just like green new deal.  hopefully the dems will get some better PR and messaging people so they don't get some brainchild coming up with 'defund the police' to be held against them, even when no dem candidate supported that.

I haven't watch the show in months but I did see the interview on YouTube.  I  just watched Nicole Wallace, who unlike Bill,  hammered Chris Christie over his curious omission of Fox News and, especially Tucker Carlson, when he "addresses" those who push conspiracies.  He actually said that he's doesn't watch Carlson and isn't familiar with the garbage that he pushes on a nightly basis.  That has to be an out and out lie.  Of course he knows all about the boy Swanson heir but won't criticize Fox News because he knows that if he does and decides to make another presidential run, being on the wrong side of the Murdochs would not be a wise idea.  On the other hand Christie said that he watches Ingraham and Hannity.  Hmm, they've never pushed any baseless conspiracy theories, have they? Talk about trying to have it both ways.   Christie is gas lighting the country in order to sell a book and remain viable in 2024.

Fareed Zakaria's special report on China will be airing tonight after being pre-empted last week.  I'm looking forward to watching it but I have to disagree with his Real Time comments about China from last week.   I'm on the side of Bill Maher on this one.  China is well position to be the dominate global power in the next few decades.  We live in a much different world than when Russian was a threat to the U.S. so I don't agree with Zakaria's assessment or comparison.  The big difference for me, is that the U.S. economy is much more dependant on China than it ever was with Russia.  We've seen so many American corporations bend to China the last few years that's downright scary.  And it's true, China has been picking fights with many other countries and has been getting away with it.

“Democrats don’t go anywhere anymore where they’re not pre-adored. Go everywhere, come here, go on Fox News”

This is what I love about Bill and why I will always watch even when he exasperates me by saying things I wholeheartedly disagree with.

Do we know if any Dems have even been asked to go on Fox News and if so, who?

Actually, we do know that Pete Buttigieg has gone on Fox News, many times I believe.  He always does great.
