Its that annoying trend (well, annoying to me, anyway) where white people try to explain to various marginalized groups what should and shouldn’t be counted as racism/bigotry. 

Kam and her family seem to be good at it, I guess.

The only one whose dress I liked is Kam.  She seldom wears black and the dress is quite over the top glamorous but I'd love to wear something like that for an evening.

Why does Kary go for these flouncy overly-ruffled numbers? Mutton dressed as lamb as my grandmother would say, and she should have chosen shoes that complemented her dress (maybe she thought nobody would see them).  The fugly big bead necklace is probably one of her dreadful jewelry creations.

Tiffany's hair and make-up always look good.  And she sure likes showing off the girls -- all her glam looks have necklines cut to her navel.  Her face has so much filler it's very noticeable. Don't get me wrong, I think she looks lovely, but the close-ups were a little disconcerting.  The neckline on her dress must have some sort of stays along the edges because I noticed they were poking in to her boobs at the bottom, creating a weird dimple effect.

Wth is going on with D'Andra's hair?  That multi-tone look doesn't flatter her at all.  She looks like she gained weight between seasons which might account for why she's so covered up compared to the others.  She was positively dripping in what looked like real  diamonds.

Brandi always has a problem dressing herself.  Everything she wears looks cheap like it came from Forever 21.  And I wish she'd try another hair style - looks like she has plenty of decent thickness hair to do something else with it.

Stephanie is so pretty I wish she'd have chosen something a little more classic looking - otherwise it doesn't matter what she wears or does with her hair, she always looks beautiful.

Here are my thoughts on "whitesplaining." We are ALL entitled to our opinions on different issues. (I don't have kids and will not pretend to be an expert, but I can still have opinions on parenting.) Just because someone is white, doesn't mean the opinion is going to be stupid and vice versa. There are minorities who will literally be dismissive of horrific instances of racism, police brutality and so on. "All skin folk ain't kinfolk." It becomes whitesplaining imo when someone who's white condescendingly lectures a minority on racism. It's sort of like when a man speaks about harassing women. He can have opinions. Sometimes he really might know better than a woman and be the better ally. There are Karens out there and also women who do the whole, why was she dressed like that? Why was she out late? Why did she go on a date with him? Imo it becomes problematic when a man talks like he knows what it's like to be a woman, and silly, silly woman, let me explain being a woman to her. He might be intelligent, mean well, love women, want to protect woman, might be a victim of harassment himself. But he's never been nor will ever a woman and know some of our unique experiences. I think it's the same with racism. If Kameron politely declined chicken feet and said, Tiffany don't dare imply I'm racist because I don't want to eat this, totally get it. Once Kameron starts getting extra and saying this isn't racist, this is racist, and you are racist, and then some other stuff I've read in the media thread, it becomes problematic and whitesplaining. 

Hate crimes against Asians went up 150% last year. This is something that affects Tiffany, no matter her career, no matter what she looks like, no matter how much money she has. If someone white said, what's the big deal with the rhetoric about the virus, bad stuff happens to us all, white privilege is racist, it's such a slap in the face.

This show seems to have A LOT of people doing racist shit and trying to deflect with that’s just how it’s always been. Leanne last season or Brandi with her I was making fun of my own eyes ( girl then where did the racist accent come from?)  Kam with telling a poc what is and isn’t part of their own culture and what she can and can’t talk about in that culture then comparing her to sex workers. … it just feels icky especially when they double down on it.

As a fellow POC, I found the heat that Tiffany brought up to and at the reunion to be inconsistent and disingenuous. Brandi explicitly positioned Asian characteristics as a point of caricature and ridicule then proceeded to advance a mythology of self-victimization for months afterward. Aside from her exasperation with the latter component amid Brandi’s teary complaints about discomfort with expressing her true self, Tiffany shockingly minimized and soft-peddled that disturbing record to to a large extent. Particularly confounding was the pre-cast trip tete-a-tete during which she directed D’andra to apologize to Brandi for issuing a comment on the subject to the press, a move that did little except to bolster the poor-me-I’m-the-wronged-party-here sophistry from Brandi. Her contribution at the reunion that Brandi never intended to hurt anyone with the video and simply “made a mistake” was frankly kind of creepy in contrast the the comparative ire she reserved for Kameron, her dispute with whom originated when she continued to push the chicken feet after multiple demurrals (if intent to hurt anyone is the barometer here, politely declining food hardly meets that threshold). 
 

I also don’t think that it can be argued that Brandi differentiated herself by growing and/or demonstrating grace ... because Brandi did exactly the opposite with her initial response on social media (doubling down, then literally contending that she was a “victim” of Kameron in the aftermath of the video’s re-emergence) and the multiple attempts (that ever really abated) to portray herself as the most aggrieved person involved (efforts that were aided by Tiffany herself when the disagreement arose about the article quoting D’andra). 
 

The incongruity is pretty emphatic in my view.

LeAnne didn't send the video, Brandi is just obsessed with her and they all think they can blame everything on LeAnne now that she is gone.  Pathetic.

I don't think LeeAnne sent the video either. I've criticized her plenty of myself, but I just don't think she's the devil incarnate the way some of these women do. 

It's so weird! Is D'Andra filthy rich? Does she need Mama Dee to give her allowance? What's the deal? If she really does have tens of millions of dollars, she should be set for life. She's in her 50's and has no kids. Whatever happens with the business, the only way she'd ever go broke is if she is extremely reckless with money. I wish Andy got her to clarify more.

My theory:

D’Andra snorted a lot of the money away- didn’t she have a hardcore drug habit? Couple that with frivolous spending to keep up her lifestyle over the years, and that money goes away.

BUT, I also suspect that when mommy dearest convinced D’Andra to come back from DC & leave her job (whatever that was) to help out with the business, she also had her daughter invest her whatever money she still had. We saw that Dee was no great business woman at the end of the day.

That evil bitch is a user.
