meghans thought process on something like this when she uses the “I wasn’t born yet” excuse..like she thinks you have to live it to know about it?

I can imagine Meghan admonishing her Columbia professors whenever they tried to give her a bad grade on Art History tests on art created before she was born. If that didn't work she probably tried "do you know who my father is" to get a passing grade.

Anyone watch Bill Maher lately? He hasn't mentioned her by name, but he's alluded to Meghan and that infamous "I wasn't born yet" the last two shows.

I'm curious what percentage of Fox viewers are good people who simply want news and end up being victims of the Fox News diet and how many of them tune in because they like hate TV. I think it's a combination, just tricky to tell the ratio. As someone who likes to get a wide variety of news across the political spectrum, it's very hard for me to stomach even a little bit of Fox because of all its problematic anchors.

Today's episode reminded me of old school View-mature women having conversation.

Among my family and friends, it seems like young people who get Moderna generally experience the roughest side effects post second shot (excluding of course people who've already had covid). It doesn't last very long though. Meghan might be planning that Vegas trip this very moment!

I have always thought Sara was underrated, but I'm enjoying her more than ever. When it comes to nonpolitical talk, she's my #1 favorite. Regarding politics, she's never pretended to "be in politics all her life" or that she's got all the answers. Imo, it's the dumbest people who are always so sure they know everything. (Insert Meghan McCain joke.) However, Sara is a smart, thoughtful woman who is objective and respectful. She's not a know-it-all. She's not a partisan hack. This is lacking not just on The View, but in the media in general. Whether I agree with her or not, I really appreciate that she speaks from the heart. I think some people don't give her enough credit because she's a beautiful girl and not forceful with her views.

Wow you put that Great.  I totally agree.  I think i got lucky and caught her at the very beginning of her career and knew that she was a good person in and out.  Through her ups and downs and ups again.  Its just been a pleasure.  🤗🙃

I think ABC put Sara in a box requiring her to be the "constantly cheerful" girl next door.  No matter what show or timeslot, she brought the fluff as required.  Additionally, she was very appealing. Because she wanted to work in media, she played along.  I don't think most of us gave her the credit she deserved.

While Meghan's degree is "Art History," this is what the 'net says about Sara: "co-host on ABC's "The View." ... Haines graduated from Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in government."  ABC is letting her present more "meat," and still she remains that cheerful/appealing co-host.

I LOLed when Bill Maher alluded to MyFather's daughter.

Before Joy explained Meghan's absence, I thought she might have already hopped a plane to Vegas, since she hasn't been able to understand the clear guidelines that it takes 2 weeks after the second shot to build up sufficient immunity.

McCain's hatred of Fauci is irrational--like most of the time. There's really nothing that he could say or do that would be "correct" in her eyes, because her priority is disparaging him. She's following her talking points and those center around attempting to tear down the face of the CDC and government guidelines as much as possible. Her abuse of The View's platform--and ABC allowing that abuse--is part of the reason they're now talking about people still wearing masks because those people know there are people who refuse to get vaccinated. It's mind-breaking for someone to act deliberately to cause a problem and then blame other people for then acting wisely in response to the problem they helped to create.

I watched a documentary on HBO about the first COVID outbreak outside of China; it was on a cruise ship that they docked in Japan and the people were not allowed off the ship. This was in early Feb 2020. They interspersed it with news accounts from the CDC and from the US gov't. At that time they were telling people in the US there was nothing to worry about, and even had a clip from Fauci saying there was no need for Americans to wear masks. They also said that there is no reason to believe that the virus spreads through air ventilation systems.  So clearly they had no idea what they were up against. Fast forward to a time when there have been millions of cases and several vaccines developed. A lot happened in between, and there were a lot of learnings along the way. But MeAgain is just like a dog with a bone and because Fauci and others are giving out information that differs from what she wants to hear now she has decided that they all don't know what they are talking about.

Interesting documentary, btw.

I saw it too.  At first I wasn't going to watch because I didn't want to hear everything all over again, but it focused on what we didn't get to see, presumably so the public wouldn't panic.  Seeing it from the perspective of people on the cruise ships, both the guests and the staff serving them.
