The Sterling K. Brown episode was terrific! And I'm happy he was so generous (unlike that cheapskate Ray Romano, whose episode still irritates me.)

I don't think Ray Romano was cheap at all. I think he showed that he really paid close attention to what his assistant says, even when it's just chatting about her home life.

I just watched the Sterling K Brown episode, and do wonder how much the AC will add to the electric bill.
I hope all the celebs add a bit to the salary to cover the increase in property tax valuation.

I don't remember much about the specific episode, but I would definitely think of central air as a necessity...LOL!  If they were using room unit air previously it might not be that much more of a bill.

Just watched the Patricia Arquette episode, what a lovely woman she is! (Plus she reminds me so much of Gillian Anderson; lordy, they could be twins.)

The elderly lady she helped was her mother’s close friend who became a mother figure to her after her own mother died. So many thoughtful touches and I love those upper cabinets that pull down so a short person can access them. Also loved the red kitchen, so unusual.

I love Zach Braff. He is probably not wealthy by Hollywood standards. Unless T-Mobil is paying him big bucks. (His commercials are amusing, unlike the stupid ones by the Suits actors.) So kudos to him for stepping up and making his friend's new house safe. The Property Brothers are likely wealthier. The look on Zach's face when he got the news about the extra work. The pizza guy was funny.

Somehow I missed watching the Zach Braff episode until this week - it was a great episode and it was evident he really enjoyed working with The Property Brothers and doing something really nice for his assistant and their family - including having them stay at his house when the timeline ran over.

Rob Lowe is adorable. Unfortunately, he knows it. Still, I'd be willing to hang out with him. But he is not designing my kitchen. I didn't like the colors. They really didn't have to do too much.  Rob saves this from being a boring episode.

He certainly never misses a good camera angle, but all in all he came across as very likeable and obviously adores his assistant and she adores him.  I like the fact that she teases him and makes fun of him right in front of him, but then again turns it around into saying something positive about him.  You can tell they are friends.

The larger window really helped make the kitchen look larger but what is this obsession all designers seem to have with banquettes?  I am not a fan - they are difficult to keep clean and I'm always the one who gets stuck on the inside!

Watching the Andy Garcia episode, remodel of garage and yard for widow of a friend.
I worry about the increase in valuation. 
There's an awful lot of stuff in the yard, grills and doesn't it get noisy for the neighbors, with the tv and all.

So I watched after your comments so I kept them in mind...I think that the point was made on the show several times that they specifically kept the garage designated as a garage (it was in reference to choosing LVP) so perhaps that was to alleviate any burden of increased property value?  Also, apparently this family has had a history of having backyard gatherings so using the backyard as a party zone might not be unusual (so can they see the tv from the backyard patio - I mean - I know it is large but do I want to sit outside and peer inside a building to watch a movie?).  At any rate, many people play music outside (I know my neighbors do) and there's not much you can do about it unless you carry on past certain hours in most cities. She looks to be the kind who would invite the neighbors over anyway - she had the nicest smile and seemed so joyful despite losing her husband.

I found Jonathan trying to get how to be sexy tips from Andy Garcia a little cringe-worthy - and I usually like Jonathan!

The outdoor spaces they create  are beautiful. I just wonder how they keep all of the outdoor kitchens/furniture clean. Do they have oak trees in LA? The pollen from the oak trees here in Florida would turn all of that into a yellow “dusty” mess.

Living in the pollen capital of the USA (Texas) I definitely feel you.  I don't see many hardwood trees planted in the LA area so maybe not. Seems like mostly palms and fruit trees (probably stereotyping).

I wonder if any of these episodes are in areas where the fires were.

It seems like it would almost be unavoidable.  

Last episode with Sarah Silverman was okay but not one of my favorites.  I truly was not sure whether Amy loved the renovation or was just overwhelmed.  It certainly was a huge improvement over what was there before.

Apparently Zooey's (not even going to try and spell her last name) childhood home, which apparently was a historical home, did burn completely and their family lost a lifetime of memories.
