LittleIggy April 5, 2020 Share April 5, 2020 I found this episode disappointing. The sci-fi element was very peripheral to the story unlike the other episodes. I was more interested in seeing how Not-Jakob would react to “Grandad’s” news. I did like seeing the forlorn robot (Jakob?) again. 4 Link to comment
CarpeFelis April 5, 2020 Share April 5, 2020 Very disappointing. What the heck was the point of this one? 1 Link to comment
Ranger Bob April 11, 2020 Share April 11, 2020 Not the best episode so far. Not horrible, but not as good as the others. Link to comment
iMonrey April 12, 2020 Share April 12, 2020 What the hell was that? I'm quickly souring on this whole series. It has become apparent that it is very child-focused. This one didn't even have anything to do with the premise, it's was a drama story that could have happened on any regular show. So boring and pointless. What is with this Loop company leaving all this derelict equipment lying around in the forest and in the lake? How irresponsible of them. 1 Link to comment
raven April 12, 2020 Share April 12, 2020 I really liked this one. Jonathan Pryce was fantastic and it was nice to see a more human side of Russ after all the hints and outright statements that he wasn't a likable guy. It was also good to see an adult who shows they care about Cole. The Loop can do a lot but can't prevent death, or prevent it as we know it. 5 Link to comment
shrewd.buddha April 13, 2020 Share April 13, 2020 Meh... Jonathan Pryce is a good actor but this episode was just ponderous. It was a bit comical that Grandpa gets a phone call from his doctor telling him he only has a short time to live. Months? Weeks? Days? And what is the cause of this death? Plot-itis? Link to comment
Concerned April 15, 2020 Share April 15, 2020 That was a dull one. Why couldn’t he have come back as a child, switched bodies with someone or just stopped time. Nothing is impossible? And would have ruined the plot if the echo room, in addition to having fireflies, could of had a whistle? This could have been an interesting six minute piece. So much walking around, repeating lines, and still life photography. And I agree that Pryce died of plotitis, where you look just fine, maybe walk slow, and are reported dead off camera. Saves the melodrama. Link to comment
tennisgurl April 20, 2020 Share April 20, 2020 Poor forlorn looking Jakob-bot. Not my favorite episode, but I thought the ending was quite nice, with Caleb seeing a brief glimpse of his future and then seeing the fireflies in the sphere. Grandpa sure was a blunt fellow. "Oh you mean an afterlife? Thats probably not a thing, when you die, you end up in a vase." Link to comment

I liked the end of it, with the fireflies, and his grandson. 1 Link to comment
