dungeonwriter February 14, 2020 Share February 14, 2020 I found the argument Sky and Aaron had over Rodney's race to be incredibly tone-deaf, given how Zoe's own grandparents fought so bravely and faced so much prejudice for their own marriage. Firstly, Rodney could be adopted. Second, he treats Sky like a queen. Seriously, be happy you have a lovely guy who treats you well. Of course, this is a show where Luca was considered a romantic prospect. Doug continues to be awesome and my new favorite character. Nomi is normally my favorite character. She could keep the baby and never tell him, but if she ever applies for any kind of financial help (CHIP, WIC, etc), she will need to identify the father. DearEvette February 16, 2020 Share February 16, 2020 I loved the Rodney/Rod'Nae subplot. In a heavy themed show that bit was a welcome bit of comedy. And it was well done with just the right amount of comic timing. I am on the side of telling the father about the kid. You don't keep something like a secret. And I also love how everybody started calling him Dr. Phil. LOL. Loved Zoey's hair in this epi. He has a right to know that he has a kid out there, it seems crappy to not tell him just because it could be awkward or inconvenient. Plus from a practical level, if Nomi does want to put the baby up for adoption (which is what I have suspected is going to happen for awhile) she would probably need his signature that he wont apply for custody after the child is adopted. I have been wondering if it would turn out that Luca was secretly the dad, but its looking less likely. Unless the med lady mistaking him for the baby daddy was foreshadowing! I wonder if Rodney was adopted, he really looks nothing like either of his parents. But genes are funny things, so who knows? possibilities February 18, 2020 Share February 18, 2020 Luca is way less obnoxious around Nomi than he is around Zoey. He's almost out of character, his behavior is so different. I can't decide if I think it's a retcon because they realized they were writing him as an irredeemable asshole and are trying to fix it, or if it's meant to imply he's got some issue with Zoey vs Nomi specifically.
