  1. Eve's hypocrisy is worse than Sami's or Nicole's. I'm not sure if Sami's and Nicole's hypocrisy was easier to take because we were attached to them as characters or because they weren't part of the older generation, where, er, a certain degree of maturity is expected. Every time Eve shows up I'm like "Why does she have that judgmental look on her face????" I wonder if the guy who is Brady ever gets tired of playing someone who is so utterly dumb. He does it with such conviction, I got to say I'm amazed! He really believes in his character, I guess.
  2. Whoops! I should have realized this. I've just gleaned that Will has no memory, and I just find it strange that Sonny's ex ping-ponged from Sonny to a memory-less Will. And Sonny's ex clearly wants Will to want him, but ....I I think we all know how this might end. On another note regarding Eve and Teresa: I've never taken drugs, but I think taking cocaine is way less worse than sleeping with your daughter's boyfriend. Eve has no moral high ground. Eve makes Sami seem like mother of the year. No matter what show he's on, Tyler Christopher always manages to play a character who annoys me. Why is he on this show?
  3. This might be a dumb question to ask, but why is Will with Sonny's ex (I keep forgetting his name after long tune-outs).
  4. I have no idea why Ben is back on this show, but he does seem way less annoying now that he's not acting opposite Abigail (KM's version) even though he's still a declared serial killer.
  5. Is that new guy from General Hospital in love with Abigail or Gabi? Or does it nor matter to him as long as he can have her body? Edited to add: WTF -- is Andre in love with Abigail too? Isn't he like 100 years older than Abigail?
  6. Thanks for the recap! Was surprised to see Eric and Jennifer as a couple. For some reason, I had it registered in my head that they were related, but I guess they're not.
  7. Haven't watched Days in quite a while. It figures that the first time I tune in after a long break it's at the moment when Chad flashbacks to when Abigail is in bed with another man. I'm afraid to ask, but what's up with her?
  8. I think maybe people expected better from Michaela and that's why people are annoyed with her. I know that's why I am. I didn't really think it was in her character to do that to Simon. In previous blunders, mostly caused by either Wes or Laurel, everyone had been acting on pure instinct and/or stupidity. This move was premeditated and calculating, and that's probably what makes it a little different. I actually thought what Michaela did was more of a Laurel move rather than a Michaela move. Laurel has always struck me as the stinkiest one morally out of all of them. I really wouldn't be surprised if she really did kill her mother.
  9. When Michaela asked Marcus why he didn't have a woman in his life, I really thought he was going to say he was gay. (I had not watched Scandal. I had to come here to figure out why she was suddenly doing it in a car with a guy who wasn't Asher. When she did it with Marcus, I continuously kept asking "Did I miss an episode?").
  10. Are Hope and Rafe still together. I saw a magazine cover that had a headline about Rafe and Sami doing it (blech.).
  11. This was a very strange episode, imo. Has a scenario like this ever happened in real life?. The ending to that woman's story caught me off-guard.
  12. I am such a horrible person because all throughout this episode all I could think was "Ugh, Laurel." She could have warned her friends she was bringing a gun. IDIOT!
  13. Will is back from the dead? And he doesn't know he's gay? What happened to the other guy that Sonny was with? (I forgot his name -- he slept with the previous version of Will).
  14. Maybe Asher has a complex about being the less successful one in his partnership with Michaela. I could see his feeling inadequate driving his erratic behaviour. For most of his life, he's been a successful white guy who comes from a successful white family who's been told he'll continue to be successful. I don't think he's a bad person at his core, but I think some of his temperament and reaction to current problems derives from being told that his life would turn out a certain way and then being shocked when it didn't. From what I've seen in the media, formerly successful white guys are usually the ones who take failure the hardest. Or maybe he just finds Laurel annoying like I do. I'd probably go into a rage if I found out I was left out of the loop of one of Laurel's stupid plans. Under any other circumstance, I would think Asher is acting rather nutty, but since Laurel is an even more annoying nutcase, I'm slightly giving him a pass for getting mad at Michaela (well, only from what I've seen in the current pass. If it turns out he murdered somebody, I'll take the pass back. I just simply find Laurel getting more irritating with each episode. She was seemingly more likeable when she was the cool-headed law student without any emotions who was kind of stone-cold about everything. Er, go figure.) On another note, I can't figure out if Frank is extremely good in bed or Laurel is just more horny than everybody else on this show (which is an odd thing to say since Connor is on this show). I get that some people are more "sexual," but the times at which Laurel needs to have sex in her grief-stricken state is a little strange to me.
  15. I find everything else about this show interesting, but anything to do with Laurel bores me to tears. The moment Laurel and her sonogram show up, I'm all snore. ZZZZZ. I think Karla Souza is a really nice and down-to-earth person (from what I've seen in interviews), but the character she is playing is akin to Ambien for me. Wes, as annoying as he could be about the Rebecca thing, was never this snooze-worthy to me.
  16. Er, are we supposed to like Laurel? I'm beginning to think we're not supposed to.
  17. I think Wes had a certain affability and innocent quality to him that made it easier to watch him as a main character. Unfortunately, Laurel doesn't really have that same compelling quality. Or maybe the show should have stuck Laurel and Wes together from the beginning for me to not get annoyed every time she says "You must win this for Wes!" The Rebecca detour probably doesn't help me care what happens to Laurel.
  18. I didn't get why the daughter gave the drink to her dad. I would have hidden all alcohol just to make sure the surgery would go through (although I have no idea if these are real "rules" that exist in real life for liver transplant). The daughter frustrated me a bit... Also, my understanding is that the dad was somewhat of an alcoholic. Usually children get upset with their alcoholic parents for touching alcohol, yet this one insists that her father have a drink? That seemed quite odd...
  19. Thank goodness the main character, The Good Doctor, is actually interesting, because everyone else on this show is dull, dull, dull. I can't tell if it's because of the acting or the writing. But the secondary characters are the most boring characters I've ever seen on a doctor show. And I've watched both ER and Grey's Anatomy after all the older characters were replaced. The reason I'm tuning in is because there is something endearing, sweet and innocent, about the main character, but, my goodness, everyone else is snoozeville. Why? This is highly unusual for a doctor show.
  20. But it's clear now she'll never love him to the same degree she loved Wes.
  21. I'm a little annoyed that Laurel now gets to take centre stage. I don't dislike the actress, but I find the character a little irritating. Her "ownership" of Wes is also annoying. Why Frank is still interested in this woman is beyond me.
  22. I also don't get why Peter said that "he was terrified." What was he terrified of? Terrified of talking? It was such an odd description. And then he seemed upset that Chris asked him if something was wrong when Peter himself said something was wrong with himself. Watching the clips again, it seemed like Rachel simply didn't want Peter solely constructing the narrative of what went on. It seemed like she wanted her input heard as well. She also seemed to lean away from him on the couch, and didn't seem to give into hugging him tightly when he came in for a deep hug at the beginning. She might have been into him at one point during the process, but now that time has passed she seemed over him at the AFTR. Who knows what he was feeling. He seemed ready to bawl just from saying to hi to Chris. If he becomes the next Bachelor, they might have to give him some kind of antidepressant to get through the show. Has any other Bachelorette or Bachelor ever been asked if they chose to settle? I saw Rachel asked this question on Live with Kelly and Ryan. I wouldn't be surprised if other contestants have chosen a "more sure thing" but I can't recall anyone actually being asked that they went off with the second choice -- not even Jason who changed his mind after picking Melissa, even though it looked like he was about to hurl over a balcony from having to choose her.
  23. The Rachel and Peter conversation is up on Youtube. When he said he felt attacked, I think she actually tried to lower her voice and sound sympathetic. Whether she actually was sympathetic, I have no idea, but it seemed like she was trying to be softer (not sure if that was because he looked like he was about to cry). I can also see why she rejected his proposal to reach out to her if she's with another man. The fact that he looked like he was about to cry did kind of get on my nerves, I'll admit. I think Rachel has a more confident demeanour and presentation than me so she was able to contain herself, but his "about to cry" stance probably would have elicited tears from me, just because I would have felt compelled to feel sorry for him, not because I really might have felt sorry for him. I also get why someone would be in strong physical lust with Peter, but over the long haul, I wonder how someone as articulate as Rachel could get along with him. There's a vocabulary difference between the two (and it's not even like she's using big words or anything). She's very clear in how she expresses herself and he always looks like he's about to cry.
  24. I want to know why Peter refused or felt he shouldn't have to pick the eyelashes off the floor. Chris really should have asked a follow-up question.
  25. I thought she was doing what other women on this show have done -- see which man was more likely to want to take the same path as her. I suppose I didn't think her method was any different from what I've seen previously on this show. By the end of this kind of series, the contestant usually seems in love with two people and tries to see where each guy is at, and as in an arranged marriage, chooses the man who is least likely to pull a Jon Hamm on them. I do think it's quite possible she went with a second-choice, based on what others have said here, and looks-wise I see why more people are attracted to Peter. However, I also don't necessarily think Rachel's mindset is much different from what happens in real life. Sometimes in real life the woman would prefer to marry the person willing to marry and take the domestic path with them rather than take a gamble on a man who is less sure of the path he'd like to ultimately take in life. The whole premise of The Bachelor is ridiculous to begin with. That's why I see what goes on on this show as similar to an arranged marriage, except with more lust and physical interaction involved, all of which is embarrassingly televised. I know people claim "love" is involved, but the timeline is so short, I view the relationships on this show as more in line with an arrangement where two people sort of like each other and decide that they'll take a gamble. It's the rare case where I think true love at the end of the two months is involved. I think lust can happen, but I'm not sure about love as it would evolve in real-life where you don't have producers whispering in your ear.
