  1. Let's hope so for another season. The move to Netflix has been like a breath of fresh air for Lucifer after the disappointment of season 3 on Fox.
  2. I wish I was around TWoP to follow back then because the original season of PH was amazing and fun to talk about. Yes the producers seem to make up the rules as they went along to protect Dave, Charla and the other 2 in the 4 member alliance, but I felt most of the drama that aired between the cast was organic. A lot of the cast seem to really despise each other! Dave vs Toni hating on each other every episode, Zack coming back and making threats to harm people outside the show, and then there was Charla who pulled the ultimate heel move at the end. So much drama and still a very satisfying season. As for this new season.... I've been pleasantly surprised so far except for the host who's just awful. Bachelor in Paradise should take notes on Paradise Hotel is doing things.
  3. The Toni versus Dave feud was epic. I still think that the original cast of Paradise Hotel was one of the best casts in reality TV ever and made for some great entertainment that summer. Who knows, maybe this cast will surprise us.
  4. Interesting contrast in reactions from Scott Foley and his wife Marika Dominczyk (in tears) on Instagram over the cancellation of Whiskey Cavalier versus Constance Wu on Twitter over the renewal of her show. Maybe ABC can reverse decision and cancel the later while saving the former.
  5. Small glimmer of hope yet, Warner Bros TV is shopping the show to other outlets as per article on IMDB. Realistically, this usually never works out. A few years ago "Forever" and "Limitless" were being shopped around after cancellation and couldn't find homes. Last year "Lucifer" after being cancelled was able to find a new home on Netflix but it had 3 seasons under its belt so that certainly helped.
  6. I'll miss you show and your wonderful opening credits 😞 Had there a full season order, maybe Netflix or Hulu could have been a saviour. With 13 episodes under the belt, I doubt those 2 are an option as this point.
  7. Another AW fan here. Has it really been over 20 years since it's been off the air? I started watching in the mid 80's and stopped in early 90's when I was in University but it was a fun show to follow. Just like a few others, Jake was my favourite character played by the amazing Tom Eplin. Considering how awful daytime soaps have been in the last 15-20 years, I'm happy that he moved on. Had a huge crush on the actress that played Amanda Cory in the 80's. Simply gorgeous. By reading the posts above, seems there weren't many Evan Frame fans but I liked them together. I found this youtube clip of Amanda and Even getting together. Clip starts with them followed by another small bit. Then go to 18.19. Wow. That was hot with the 80's ballad from Bad English playing in the background. Miss those simpler days. https://youtu.be/3S3dn1XHsEw
  8. Was channel surfing the other night and came across this one. I'll probably watch a few more episodes but the casting seems off to me. Bring back psycho Toni !
  9. Thanks. I'm really tempted to go the route of a region free DVD player. There are a few shows from my youth that are only available in Region 2 so I'm exploring the idea of investing in one. Plus having complete unedited episodes is really appealing. I'm going to revisit some of the later episodes later this summer as I miss this type of action show.
  10. Thank you ABC for the renewal. You've a made a lot of fans happy and a few haters pretending to be fans on social media even more bitter. Now please renew Whisky Cavalier and I can finally forgive you for cancelling Deception, Forever, Life on Mars and my favourite Sledge Hammer! over 30 years ago 🙂
  11. This week's episode was my favourite one yet. Lots of great one liners and gags. My favourite is Ray with his Rugby Pose in the group picture taken on campus. I'm wondering if this episode was also aired out of sequence since there was no follow up to last week's reveal about Tina. While Susan and Ray were still flirting, it felt to me like a scene that you would see before the reveal that they were together.
  12. Fingers crossed, this is positive news. ABC is at least looking to find a way to make it work. Better than a straight up cancel. A follow up article on Deadline mentions that ABC is asking for major concessions as part of a renewal.
  13. ABC will be releasing their fall schedule on Tuesday May 14th so we'll likely know the status the of the show pretty soon. I'm hoping for a renewal but I've noticed that some in social media are actually rooting for it's cancellation. Kind of sad IMO since this show has a lot to offer.
  14. Thanks. I might do that. I know the U.S. set is out of print so I might be tempted to sell it and go for the German set. Music replacement is a killer for me since often the music is integral to the show. At least it is for me which is why I'm grateful that some of my other favourites (Quantum Leap, WKRP and the Wonder Years) have all been released with the majority of their music intact. As for Hunter, just another great cop show from the 80s IMO. I know there was a revival a decade after it ended but it didn't have the same feel to it as the original show in the 80s. I
  15. Another Hunter fan here ! It's another one of those action gems from the 80's that I loved. To be a kid in the 80's was great. I bought the complete series box set a few years ago before it went out of print. I plan to revisit it one day. I'm remember in the later seasons they had several episodes arcs that were two or three parts and they were really good. "Works for me" is catchphrase that I remember from the show. A few years ago, Fred Dryer played a villain on another NBC show (Crisis) and his character would repeat that line.
  16. The out of sequence airing of episodes has been annoying since I really can't tell why some episodes have been moved around. It took me a few episodes to finally hook me, but I'm really starting to like this show as the cast finally clicked for me in the last few episodes. I know it's not breaking any new ground but it's a fun show which is nice to have. I'm hoping that it gets renewed, but I'm sure ABC will wind up disappointing me like it did with "Deception" and "Forever". Btw, the opening credits are fantastic!
  17. Another homerun IMO. Season 2 was fantastic. My opinion hasn't changed since season 1, I'm Team Johnny all the way 🙂 I can't believe that I'm routing for Johnny Lawrence, but William Zabka has been fantastic in this series. He's really making the character a true anti-hero and worth routing for. It's a long shot I know, but an Emmy nod for him would be nice. Damn the finale was brutal. The school fight was amazing and the consequences will be explored in season 3. It's going to be another long wait until it returns. (I have no doubt it will be renewed for season 3)
  18. Another big fan of BL here. In fact, I'm pretty much a huge fan of all the legal shows by David E Kelly starting with the amazing Picket Fences. It's been many years since I've watched BL but some of my favourites include the finale of season 1 "Death not be Proud" which had Alan flying to Texas to defend a prisoner on death row played by Sterling K Brown. Then there's a season 2 episode called "Finding Nimmo" where Alan and Denny go fishing together. This episode has one of my favourites Gags where Denny Crane unable to catch a fish using a pole decides to use his gun instead !
  19. How could I forget Hart to Hart !!! That was a fun one to watch too. Now I have the Hart to Hart theme in my head. Love the 80s :-) edit: Scarecrow and Mrs. King was another one that I remember watching.
  20. "Moonlighting" and "Remington Steele" are my two favourites from the tv couples crime solving genre along with "Lois and Clark" from the 90s. ABC had 2 decent replacements for Castle in the last couple of years in the short lived series "Forever" and most recently "Deception". The cancellation of "Forever" after only 1 season was the most disappointing to me as I really enjoyed that one. Does any one remember another the short-lived tv crime solving detective series from the early 90's called "P.S. I Luv U" staring Greg Evigan and Connie Sellecca ? The intro is on youtube.
  21. Looks like the ratings aren't great and the show won't be back. Too bad, I'm starting to really enjoy it despite it being a Castle clone. As for the week's episode, the Moonlighting references were cute.
  22. Yes it was :-) So many little things to love about season 1 and the above scene of them bonding ranks up there for me. I have a feeling that at one point in future seasons we'll have both Johnny and Daniel team-up in a fight.
  23. Loved it !!! Binged it all yesterday. I really wasn't expecting this type of quality from Youtube and to think this series was billed as a comedy. Far from it as it's more on drama than comedy. Sure there a lot of funny one liners but it's definitely not a comedy. You can tell that a lot of care was put into this by everyone involved in respecting the charm of the original movie. Loved how they were able to integrate some of the songs from the original soundtrack and of course Bill Conti wonderful score. As others have mentioned, William Zabka was awesome in this. Bring on season 2.
  24. Nice looking set and I will definitely pick it up. I'm thinking that at 3000 limited the Buffy Soundtrack will eventually sell out. La-La Land records hinted that there might even be few signed copies available for sale.
  25. La La Records has hinted on the Film Score Monthly website that they will be releasing this year a 4 disc set that covers all 7 seasons (except the musical).
