Love that Erika is looking chubby.  WTF was she wearing at the dinner?  A sweat suit?

Speaking of being not skinny, Diana was probably horrified by that shot of her walking into the water on the beach - her gut was huge.  I know she just had a baby, and that is totally normal, nothing to be ashamed of, but I am sure she was not thrilled.  I am surprised Bravo showed that... actually not surprised, Bravo is a bunch of jerks.  In the pics we saw of her a few episodes ago, she was stick skinny when she was younger.

All I could think of when I saw what Erika was wearing at dinner was that I had a track suit just like that in the 80s. And that even if Mikey is now working for free, he is getting paid too much.

Like others I was impressed that Kyle and Crystal did not have glam squads. I was a bit disappointed that Garcelle travelled with one, maybe because of being on a talk show now she is used to having hair and make up done by others every day? I also loved Kyle ironing her own clothes but did wonder if that was a price tag hanging off the jumpsuit when she turned it around? Reminded me of Sonja on RHoNY who wears her clothes with the tags so that she can return them.

I had no problem with Bravo showing Diana's chunky body. In fact, bravo to Bravo. She is a pretentious snob that I have no doubt is hiding the real source of her money. Kind of like an Erika 2.0

Speaking of Erika, was Crystal sitting on her lap at the bar on the beach? WTF? If so Crystal had better be careful having her back too close to Erika. If Erika's MO holds, Crystal could have a knife in her back by the end of the season.

Be careful what you wish for because this might come back as a STRETCHED OUT two hour in the future.

As it was, I didn't find the one hour that interesting. It was obvious that the wife was the murderer, though it was amazing that someone who wrote crime novels for a living was so bad at planning one IRL. But I didn't find her, or her husband for that matter, compelling.

  3. I have no doubt that Laura drowned her step son, and likely was right there in the water when it happened. As the expert testified, he would not have floated, he would have sank. So the likelihood of her being able to find him would be pretty slim I would think unless she was right there.

The fact that she smiled and waved to the fisherman as she left the beach cinched it for me. But everything pretty much added up to her making up the story about her step son wanting to go on a picnic, and  Laura making sure she was in a deserted spot.

I am always amazed at how these women manage to find so many losers to marry them. Though the guy she left for David seemed like a good guy, but women like that are always looking for the next fix and need for something new. I actually laughed at the loser who was I think her first husband? The one she met in jail who blubbered and said he would always love her. And then there is the guy who is waiting for her to get out. WTF is with these morons?

  4. Though for the last couple of years this show wasn't "must see" TV, I will miss it. I always PVR'd it, and in fact just watched the last 4 episodes. I thought it was a good final two episodes to go out on.

On a shallow note, I always preferred "Bull" without his glasses so wished he had left them on his desk and unworn for most of the series.

And like others,  I always rolled my eyes at Marissa's latest zipper dress(es). I am not sure if they were supposed to be the signature of some designer, or made for her. In any case as been said, they were always a size or two too small, and IMO boring, Maybe the first dozen or so were OK, but I didn't get the point after awhile.

They could just show one of Randall's inaugural speeches, that would fill the hour.

. And we have only the word of Leslie's "friends" she was planning to leave him.

The detective said that numerous friends told them that the Neulanders were divorcing. Her friend Terri said it in the interviews as well, and the Starbucks friend said that Leslie told him that she and Neulander had sat down all the children and told them that they were divorcing. A pretty easy thing to disprove if it wasn't true, and I don't think either Neulander or the kids disputed it.

I have no doubt he was guilty. Jenna herself said in the 911 call how much blood there was, but at that point her dad was still in the bathroom moving her mother so supposedly had not even been to the bedroom as yet with Leslie.

I find the bed/head board interesting as I don't remember Neulander saying that he put Leslie there at one point to do CPR. Jenna said she never saw her mother on the bed. Neulander did move Leslie a couple of times in the bedroom but AFAIK the bed was never mentioned. In the pictures of the crime scene, the bed has a pillow on the right hand side, a pillow in the middle against the headboard and blankets and a pillow against the headboard on the left hand side. Where the pillows were against the head board is where the blood was, and wasn't seen by the detectives originally because the blood was covered by the pillows. If Neulander did CPR on the bed, presumably he would have removed pillows etc, not lie Leslie down on an uneven surface to do CPR.

I wondered why the prosecution didn't call Jenna as a witness in the second trial? Would they not have had that option when the defense didn't call her (for obvious reasons) given that Jenna was there and is on the 911 call? In any case thank goodness the second jury agreed with the first one, and Neulander is where he should be, once again.

Diana's time line confused me as well, she has two children from her marriage and they are 19 & 22, I am not sure how long ago the marriage broke up, she said at 19 she had left home or something, she and Casher (lol), had been together since he was 18? Was he fabulously wealthy at 18? So in 12 years he amassed a fortune so great she was awarded 250 million and he still has money left over?  Someone, anyone...I need a better time line because it is not only her accent that is mysterious, (not really, we know she is from Bosnia so no mystery about her accent).

, I still, all these years later cannot come up with a scenario where anyone could be talked in to wearing that anywhere.  That was the real crime.

Casher is the ex that Diana married when she was 26. She was married on paper for 12 years, but I would presume they were separated for a least a couple of years as they haggled out her quarter of a billion dollar payout. Casher is the father of her two older kids. She met Asher/Dasher sometime after she split with Casher but she does not specify when. He was a boy toy who has now become a man toy and father of her one year old.

When Diana talked about the terrible decade she had, I assume it was before she left Bosnia and the years when she was first in London waiting tables, cleaning toilets, and whatever. But by the time she was in London for 7 years she had met and married Casher. Hope that helps!

That's not what she said. She said that there is a 15 year age difference between her and Asher and that he is 33, so you can do the math regarding her own age. She didn't say how long they have been together. Wikipedia tells me she married in 1999 and divorced in 2011, so she was married to her ex for 12 years.

You are right, she didn't say how long they have been together,. She said she was single for about 5 minutes, so at least 10 years since her divorce was finalized in 2011. However if her ex had to fork over a quarter of a billion dollars, I would assume she was separated at least a couple of years before that as they haggled over a how many millions she would end up with. So it isn't unlikely that Asher/Dasher was 21 or so when they met. Could have ben younger,  but as you say she doesn't specify. Just that it was at a Victoria Secret party. In any case she did well for what likely amounted to a decade or less of actual marriage.

Of course there is. We have to see Randall become POTUS, and Kate his Secretary of Education. Not sure what will be in store for Kevin, but we do know Kate's son becomes a famous musician. Who knows what surprises the writers have in store?

Well, Deja was smiling when she told Randall, so she gave off the impression of being happy. She's an adult at this point. She's gone through medical school. She has a job. As long as she's happy about it, I imagine Beth and Randall will be happy about it.

I never mentioned in my post about Deja's happiness, I specifically referred to Randall and Beth. Most parents I know would be concerned about what their child (at any age) is about to encounter, having a child at the same time as putting in the long hours (60-80 hrs per week) of a medical residency. Even if Randall did not want to express that concern to Deja, I find it unrealistic that Randall and Beth would not do that between themselves. But then again the ending of this series is being rushed, and in a magical world where Kate is in England presenting her one-of-a-kind curriculum, it isn't a surprise that the writers didn't go there.

When they first showed the family that had the car crash, I was so confused trying to figure out who they were, past, present, or future.

Then I started thinking surely they wouldn’t introduce an entirely new family to the story at this point. Now??? This late??? Surely not!

    FFS, this show. They did.

It's one of the reasons I have never been a devoted fan or even viewer of this show. Too much time wasted on random people. Like you, I was watching the opening and trying to figure out who the characters were. I finally turned to hubby and said "I have no idea who these people are". So annoying when the series is almost over to waste time on their storyline.

I am not sure I understand why Randall and Beth were so happy about Deja being pregnant, given that she is just starting her residency, and Malik works so many hours at his restaurant that he is never home. Also made me wonder about his child who would be about 12 at this point? (Can't remember if she was about two when he went to Harvard?). Seems like he has his hands full already.

  12. I loved Shaun and Lea getting married at the hospital with their co-worker family. It is exactly how I thought the season would conclude. As the episode was drawing to an end, I was suspicious that the writers would let it end on a happy note. As soon as Lim said she was going to get more glasses I turned to my hubby and said "That nurse's husband is in the hospital and he is going to shoot her" . Right idea, wrong method of attack. I really hope Lim survives as she is an important part of the cast of characters. I don't want Morgan to leave either,  but I do get tired of her and Park constantly bickering.

I loved Lea's wedding dress as it was pretty much identical to mine. Same neckline, same type of material, and same short train. Only difference is mine was two pieces. I got married 18 years ago, and chose the style because I loved it, and thought it would be timeless. ☺️

  13. While I don't necessarily believe that Dorito is lying about being robbed at gunpoint, I do think it is super bad luck after Dorito and PK were robbed just three years after their home which was on the market was robbed late in 2018. So two robberies less than three years apart, as this one happened in late Oct/21.  You would think that you would barely have time to collect insurance money on the first robbery and replace valuables before you were hit again. Dorito said that she didn't care about material things, but obviously cared enough to accumulate a bedspread full of stuff for the robbers to cart off the second time.

Now taking off my cynical hat, I do feel bad for Dorito. Like others though I don't understand how she could leave her children in the home where 2 or 3 (still not clear on that) robbers entered with a gun, I don't care who you are leaving the kids with. Apparently filming for Bravo was more important. Mind boggling to me.

That said, I do think Sutton was very cold. Which makes me wonder about the whole time line of the scene with Sutton and Kyle. It was a bit much for Sutton to toss it off, when she felt she had to hire security for a week after a comment from Erika. But Dorito held a gun point is not biggy, SMH.

And this may be unpopular, but I thought it was rather crappy and Lea and Shaun to screw the producer. Now, I get wanting the wedding their way and not being happy with the cameras. But they agreed to be part of the show and presumably signed a contract. And Lea picked the theme. Then they change their mind and just leave her hanging? They could have at least insisted on changing the wedding style but still let her film something.

That's why I think the writing was so bad for this storyline. I don't believe in the real world (or as much 'real' as there is in a reality show) that a reality show would give the engaged couple hours to decide on such important parts of the wedding, Or really, basically ALL of the wedding. Also I don't believe that if the groom-to-be was not consulted about what he would like for his stag, at least the friends would be. So as is written, I am glad they bailed as the producer seemed unorganized in cramming so many big decisions into what amounted to hours before the wedding.  But really the blame goes to the writers for a ridiculous storyline. or at least ridiculous as written.

  15. I hated this episode.

Only one medical case and it's on a kid. Of course the kid isn't going to die. Every scene involving the medical part of the show was like watching paint dry.

But what I really, really (really!) hated was the wedding crap. I don't know how long the cameras are supposed to have been following Sean and Lea, but we are to believe that nothing has been decided about the dress, tux, flowers, theme. etc. until 54 hours before the actual wedding? WTF x 100.

In addition why was the decision of theme not made by Sean and Lea? Are we to believe that Lea would not know that Sean would be uncomfortable in a skinny tux? Hell I knew, and I am not marrying him. BTW, pretty much no guy looks good in a skinny tux. They just look  like they need to gain a few pounds. Also Lea's strapless dress while lovely, looked very dated as strapless was all the rage several years ago.

Finally the producer of the documentary really didn't get Sean if she thought that he would be comfortable having his stag at the strip club. How unoriginal and cringe worthy. Obviously the scene was so that Sean would come up with a way to save the kid, but very lazy writing.

So all in all I am glad that Sean and Lea bailed and the producer will not get her reality show. But mostly I blame the writers for the whole reality show debacle. Please give these actors better material.

  16. I figured that Angela or Angela and accomplice if she had one must have been wearing disguises as Annie was tortured for 3 1/2 hours from when Angela arrived at 11:30 or so in the evening until she left at 3am. Must have disguised her voice as well, or Annie was so disoriented, in pain and near death when she called 911 that she was trying to reserve her strength and hold on.

Wow, just when I thought I had seen every example of bad parenting, we have two losers who have found each other, and hatched a plan to make money off their kids so they don't have to work. I do wonder what it might do to Matt and Annie's daughter when she is old enough to learn that her step mother and possibly father killed her mother, and also only wanted her to make money off of her.

And speaking of losers, WTF was up with Matt's You Tube videos?  How could there be any losers even more pathetic than Matt, who would find the life and ramblings of a pitiful excuse of a human (even putting the possible killer part aside) worth listening to? Mind boggling.

  17. I am sad that Mattea's run had ended, but so impressed by not only her intelligence, but her sunny personality and kindness to the other contestants. She always acknowledged with a smile and applause when another player answered a DD correctly. Some contestants are not that gracious. I did love the mischievous smile on her face as she wrote her FJ answer. I am already looking forward to the Tournament of Champions and hope Mattea, Amy and Matt face off against each other at the end. What a treat that would be.

Congrats to Danielle on getting two DDs and FJ correct. Had she hesitated a split second longer on the second DD the outcome would have been different, but I am happy for her.

Since I share with Mattea the seeming necessity of using vocalizations and hand gestures to trigger thought processes to locate data stored in my gray matter, I must always forgive her these tics, even when I too find them a little irritating, along with my attending feelings of empathetic embarrassment.
Today that paid off for me with a big vicarious thrill at her surprise win against seeming unbeatable odds. Yeah! We won!

I knew FJ was Citizen Kane, but did some hand waving until I was able to shout out the answer. Maybe that is why Mattea's handwaving doesn't bother me. My husband also speaks with his hands, even when he is on the phone. I find it charming.

I haven't seen Citizen Kane in years, but just checked and I can watch it on two different On Demand channels. So I think I will revisit the movie tonight, after hopefully celebrating another Mattea win!

But if we’re going by Ghosts rules, the ghosts would be stuck on the property where they died, and I suspect most folks were already dead when they got there. Sorry to stray further off topic. But somehow it seems that a show with ghosts has more consistent rules than the Conner universe has

But going by The Connors writers' rules, anything goes. Including Darlene being able to buy a house and then spend even more money to renovate it. Also I am confused - she is tearing the house down completely? Or gutting it on the inside? I thought the latter. But either is unbelievable, even with Ben supplying materials at cost. In any case most of this show no longer makes sense so I am still hoping for ghosts haunting Darlene's home, however they manage to get there.

  20. As noted above, Ben has much more chemistry with Becky than Darlene. Heck, he has much more chemistry with Dan, Jackie and Mark. I do like the character so I am glad that Ben has stuck around, but not looking forward to he and Darlene becoming a couple again. They weren't cute together the first time. and I doubt that the fall with change Darlene's personality.

I also hate the storyline of renovating a lovely old home because Darlene doesn't like that it was a funeral home. I hope she is haunted by ghosts once she moves in (like the ghosts on Ghosts, but not nearly as nice) and ends up selling at a loss.

I'm speaking from my personal experience but I will let the Las Vegas casinos know that they've been doing it wrong because someone on the internet said so.

    Now back to Jeopardy.

Interesting as I have never won more than $1200 at one time in Vegas, but my sister and her partner often go to the states to play at casinos in Washington state.  I know that her partner Dave has won jackpots over $1200 so I just called to ask her if the casino took money off the top for taxes. She said yes, they did. They told Dave that he could apply to have some of the money refunded but he never bothered. This would be as recently as three years ago, so maybe when you won the rules were different?

I can read on websites that the earth is flat, doesn't make it true. Been there done that & I never paid a penny to the IRS because that's how it works.

You're getting your U.S. & non U.S. taxpayer info mixed up. See my earlier post about speculation.

You would not pay tax if your winning were from blackjack, baccaret, craps, roulette or Big 6 wheel. Otherwise the casino should be taking 30% off the top of any jackpot. over $1200.00 if you are not a U.S. resident.

In any case my info is from several law firms, as well as the Globe and Mail article on Mattea. I doubt if the Globe mixed up whether Mattea was a U.S. or non U.S. taxpayer. Lol.

ETA, the law firms were Canadian, so yes there could be a difference on taxes paid for someone from another country. These law firms were referencing Canadian citizens.

  23. Just to add to the speculation as to whether or not Mattea will pay taxes, I have read on several sites as well as in a recent article in the Globe and Mail that Mattea will pay a flat 30% withholding fee to the IRS. This applies to Canadians and other non U.S. residents who win money via game shows, lotteries or at casinos. In the case of lottery or casino winnings, you can apply to have some of the money refunded for the money you have spent on lottery tickets, or have incurred in gambling loses. So it looks like currently Mattea has won $428,570 in Canadian funds, after taxes.
