  1. I don't think I liked Matt Jackson during his original run, but he's been very nice during this tournament. And he really won me over when he said he would not steal Sam's line. Congrats to Victoria. The game tomorrow will be interesting. Looks like it will come down to who gets the daily doubles.
  2. I didn't remember that. Maybe someone else on here knows.
  3. Would that be puppy killer Ryan?
  4. I was impressed with how well Ike did, too. And if he had wagered zero in FJ he would have won.
  5. OMG. The perpetually smiling Emily vs the perpetually non-smiling Yogesh? Can't wait. Go David.
  6. Yes I saw the announcement. There will be a season 5 and the Duke will not return and the show will be called Miss Scarlett. I'm all for it. Let it be a mystery show and stop this nonsense about the romance that was never going to happen.
  7. What didn't sit right with me is that Helen seemed perfectly fine with letting Oscar go. Even if the little girl really was happy to finally have another cat. I found the whole thing contrived. It actually would have made more sense if the cat had really belonged to the little girl. I wonder why they didn't just go with that.
  8. Well, it was a mess, and I saw today that it has been canceled.
  9. I watch on PBS. They show new episodes every Saturday night at 8pm. Sadly, this Saturday is the last episode of the series.
  10. According to the Reddit people, Mrs Hall does live at Skeldale house. They cite an episode in the first season where you see her get out of bed to investigate a noise, and it's James coming home from the pub.
  11. I must be the only one watching. I enjoyed this last episode too. And I especially like Morwenna. She has the best facial expressions.
  12. I find Nash very attractive and I like his relationship with Eliza. As for William and Eliza, this was the most honest episode the show has had in regard to their relationship. Instead of the will they, won't they tepid aspect they've been dithering with, something actually happened. I'm sure William is not gone.
  13. I enjoyed this last episode immensely, maybe because some of it was outside of Portwenn. This one had the doc's former girlfriend, and I loved the interaction between her and Louisa (Laura?). I even enjoyed the parts with Janice.
  14. I completely agree. But they could give Eliza more to do than just get cases from William. I enjoy how they play off each other but I don't want to see them become a couple. Where would the show go from there? It would be a completely different show.
  15. I liked this weeks episode a lot better than last weeks. I get a kick out of those very small cups the Doc drinks out of. It was nice seeing Mrs Patmore (Lesley Nicol) from Downton Abbey.
  16. This last season just seems like they're all tired. This third episode was probably the most boring of the entire series. I didn't care for Mrs Tischel for a while but I'm back to liking her. She is comic relief on a show that badly needs it. Bert is just kind of pathetic. But I love the scenery and I know I'll watch it to the end.
  17. I'm watching it too. Thanks for posting. Episode 3 tonight.
  18. I love her references to classic literature too. I've actually learned a few things. She was very funny in this episode. So was Michael, actually. I don't know what it is about Jake, but I don't really care for him. I think he seems smug. But Annika didn't ask me.
  19. Some of those youths that Marga could have hooked up with seemed a lot more friendly than the guy she did end up with. He is one cold fish. It doesn't seen like just brainwashing but maybe there's more to him. Heaven help Marga if he's really like this. That was an inhumane way to treat Rajib.
  20. The crime part of this episode was completely underwhelming. The focus is on the Annika and Michael drama. It was interesting that instead of comparing the RLS Classic of the episode to the crime part, Annika compared it to herself and Michael. But I hope this isn't going to be the focus of the entire season. When will Michael tell his family? When will Annika tell Morgan?
  21. I wonder if Lois and Harry are end game. They seem much more alike than Harry and Kasia. I still don't find them interesting. And now we're in for some drama with the also uninteresting David. Give me more of Stan and Rajib. And Kasia.
  22. I'm not convinced that he didn't actually know (or at least suspected). She had been trying to tell him numerous times (Michael, I have something to tell you) and it seemed like even he was trying to distract her from actually telling him. I'm probably wrong, but I wouldn't be surprised if he isn't surprised.
  23. Of course Harry and Lois will meet up in Cairo (yawn). Apparently they are going to stretch out the Sir James story line. One of the few things I actually find interesting. Stan continues to be the highlight of the show. Harry: My wife is safe now. She's in London living with my mother. Stan: I thought you said she was safe. On a side note, I use closed captioning for all British shows and I'm very annoyed with PBS for putting a black box over the subtitles whenever a foreign language is spoken. I can't be the only one having this issue.
  24. I'm not crazy about the new handsome, arrogant character David. He's going to have to redeem himself somehow. I am looking forward to the possible spy plot they are teasing for Kasia. She's still my favorite character. I like Stan, too. Now that Sean Bean is gone, I don't care about Harry or Tom or Lois. And this might be an unpopular opinion, but I love all the scenes with Robina (might be because the actress is so good, though).
  25. I was lost too until I got an email this morning from the masterpiece newsletter explaining the new characters. This first episode seemed like a lot of setup to these new characters. I don't know if this link will work. http://links.masterpiece.wgbh.org
