  1. the credit card charge was what allowed them to track down the studio that did the tattoo, which then lead to confirmation that Clark had a relationship with Annie.
  2. oof that was not good. Short king, Alaska Air, bowling and WU were the only things that got laughs out of me. Usually you can lay the blame for a poor show on the writing but I thought this was bad across the board. Did not know that JE was not from NA, he's pretty good as a hulking sociopath on Euphoria but this show just seemed to lean on "he's hot".
  3. quite a good start, helps that Clive Owen's ability to be effortlessly cool is still there.
  4. This episode was a little of a let down, would have liked to see Maya kicking more ass. Overall I thought the series was pretty good. Alaqua Cox is great for someone with 2 acting jobs (including this one). I'm so glad that Marvel kept D'onofrio as Fisk. He, like JK Simmons as JJJ, is one of those perfect castings.
  5. I liked it. Hope it keeps the quality through the run.
  6. So Bill Randa is/was not Hiroshi's bio-dad, interesting though not really relevant. Definitely a set-up episode, not much happened.
  7. we only saw a small portion of the city. It's entirely possible that the reconstruction hadn't reached that point yet. it's also wasn't the point of the story, the episode was about the kids search for/of their dad's office, not the progress of the rebuilding of the city.
  8. it wasn't Kates fault but most of the show didnt do it for me. Loved the pre-tapes and WU with the joke swap was killer. Also liked Whiskers R we and i think that yankee swap was the funniest sketch of the night. "A cat is a friend who hates you" = accurate
  9. to prevent looters, disaster tourists, dumbasses who will wander in and get hurt. Tokyo isn't hit by Godzilla in the 2014 movie.
  10. dollar dollar bills y'all. Also: this isnt that long after G-Day, how long did take to clean-up/rebuild after Katrina? yeah, he's had too much airtime to be written off in a crash we don't even see.
  11. kind of meh IMO. only bits that got real laughs out of me were WU, shopping network and plane baby. I like Driver and thought he did good with what he had but what we had wasn't the best. Liked Rodrigo's second song.
  12. also: thanks NBC, I'm going to take up smoking to look cool.
  13. pretty pretty pretty good. Loved the cold open and WU. Longfellow seemed to trying to channel Bill Hader in the game show sketch. Loved the complete absurdity of the Mamma Cass sketch. Surprised they didn't mention Scarlett in the 5-timer monologue (she has done it 5 times right, i'm not just going old).
  14. my thought was that the instruments got zapped and the bottle was a backup. There is no way that plane wasn't equipped with a attitude indicator, there was also no way that it flew from south korea to alaksa on one tank of gas.
  15. good solid episode. The show is always improved by an enthusiastic host as Momoa clearly was/is.
  16. best show yet. And most consistent, not a stinker in the bunch IMO. Bargatze slotted right in, didn't have to really stretch in terms of character but still good. Always great to see Walken, and it was nice of Dave Grohl and the guys to take time off from fighting Foo to play some music.
  17. or, as in the case of Taylor Swift and Lady GaGa, their "role" was a few seconds of announcing the musical guest?
  18. ehhhhhhhh. They leaned heavily on filmed bits and guests. Loved the return of Pedro's mother sketch. And the filmed "new world" piece was gold.
  19. pretty pretty pretty good. Not great, but solid. The unexpected joke swap on WU was the highlight. The NFL sketch was probably the best sketch of the night. people always say this, do you think they're writing during their time off? A: there was a writer's strike 2: nobody is paying them to write during the season break iii: there is a good chance that anything they do write during the season break won't be topical/relevant once the season hits the air.
  20. maybe we're talking past each other. I'm saying the safe room Skender brought them too and had his leg broken was the same room that Clement was locked in. My reading of your initial post leads me to think that you think they are two different rooms.
