Bumping up because I got my copy of Doctor Who Magzine #500. I would've had it sooner, but the shop I get the issues from had problems, and I wound up hitting a Barnes & Noble. It's a package with two issues, stickers, and a double-sided poster. I think there are alternate covers, if the poster is to be believed. I wound up with the first issue homage. There's also a link for free chapters from audio adventures. I might download them, even though I never got into Big Finish. Oh, and #501 is going to be mostly about Tom Baker.

I found it funny that the characters and traits were shuffled among the males. Sadly, Rin came across as a less-annoying Sakura. Funny that Kakashi had his back to the "camera" sans mask. I'm guessing he'll wind up short one eye and get Obito's soon, as well as the Sharrigan.

"Whatever" to Nany and Nicole. Also, it looks like Sarah is a sucker for belly rubs. That's a shame. I mean, she didn't plan on being Johnny's partner, I wouldn't expect her to ditch him like Trishelle ditched her, but she seems to not want to be a bad person. As a result, she's looking worse. If BOTE2 had been it for her, we wouldn't be vilifying her this much, even if she does hang with Susie.

Mosquito Girl did not look as creepy in the manga. Genos taking up space with his backstory is consistent, though. Ditto for the armor gorilla breaking character after Saitama showed what he did to Beast King.

Don't know if "live" episodes are good, especially when they bust up DVR schedules. That's what On Demand is for. I got TNS running right now, and I'll follow that up with @Midnight. My dream scenario is Trump losing all fifty states and getting punched in the balls by Rosie. Having her narrate his video? Awesome. Ranks up there with Stephen Colbert narrating Dubya's 2004 video, the over-the-top Obama intro in 2008 ("Every time he speaks, an angel has an orgasm"), and the follow-up in 2012 from Larry David. Oh, and the brutal takedown on John McCain that channeled Jon Stewart's disdain. Is there "go-to" place to see all of those clips? ETA: Wasn't Dumb Donald a Cosby Kid? Would Trevor have to pay Larry Wilmore royalties for that?

Do they take place during Cybermen stories? ETA: I finally got a hold of Doctor Who Magazine #500 yesterday. If you're a fan of that publication's comics, you'll want to find it. All sorts of past artists stop by, as well as comics-exclusive character. There's also a "best of" retrospective of the DWM comics, ranging from the stories in 1979 to today . . . like Donna's farewell and the Doctor and an old companion bonding.

Olympic Stadium in Montreal is the only one I've visited. Went there for an Expos game. Neither myself nor my mother was impressed. This was early-Nineties, before the team starting drawing four figures in attendance. We also passed by Turner Field on the way to the zoo in Atlanta.

I liked Svetty. If she had dropped by another Challenge for the sole purpose of punching Tyler somewhere sensitive, I would not have minded. She had the right idea . . . one Challenge, make it to the finale, and not come back again.

He's in a clinic now, and we don't think his testicles are there anymore. Needless to say, he is out. Sarah, you know what that means . . . this ends your time in Mexico. I mean, Brazil. I don't even care anymore. What the fuck have I done with my life?" Only thing missing was an "after" shot on Wes E. Coyote in a full-body cast after going over the cliff for the millionth time. I'm not saying he went out like a punk, but it was so underwhelming. All the focus was on Cousin Fight 2016, and there was no emphasis as to how Wes lost to Johnny. Again. Why do I watch this show? It's not fun anymore. And Sarah should be ashamed of herself. So should Wince, but he has no self-awareness. And Jenna needs so much help. Nice to see Zach can ruin a Challenge even when he's not on it. Not even Frank could pull that shit off, and he's beyond repugnant. ETA: Read the recap. Zach really is a "fucksuck," isn't he?

In case you missed The Daily Show or don't watch it . . . Trevor Noah brought up Sean and Rachel. He referred to them as "Reality stars you don't remember married to congressmen you've never heard of." ETA: On Monday's run-up to the con, TDS ran clips of GOP people saying that Trump wasn't good, and one of them was Sean. Maybe he'd get a high-power post with free healthcare for his many, many children?

Gotta like the lateral thinking for Gon. Choose the long route, walk ten steps, hack the heck out of the wall, take the easy way down. On the downside, the group didn't tie up Tonpa. If he doesn't get killed in the next phase, it'll be a miracle. "ARRRRRRRGGHH!!!" "I SURRENDER!" "I DON'T CARE!!!!" Much like Naruto and the Chunin Exam, we'll be getting one-on-one battles, at least if I understood the narrator correctly. Bad news: I think the next episode is a recapper.

Looking at weyrbunny's post on Tokyo Ghoul . . . I'm up to the fourth volume in the manga. I can see it being on Toonami down the line. It's kinda like Parasyte, and it would be an easier sell than the other manga I'm reading these days, Assassination Classroom. ETA for weyrbunny . . . is the scene with the giant griddle in the anime? I imagine less hardy fans to go "fuck this!!" and bail.

I'm just annoyed that they cut out the "Crippled Masters" bit when Trevor was talking about Cruz and Kascich teaming up. On the bright side: Trevor's Ben Carson impression.

Once the kid grows pubes, he'll come around. Not like I'd expect him to attend Bernie rallies, but he'll feel a little embarrassed about his views. Will Sam be attending the DNC next week?

David was alright in his two stints. Sucks that he didn't last longer, particularly in BOTS, when he was flirting with Ayanna. They seemed cute together. I liked Derrick, but I hated him by the time of The Ruins. I refer to him as "Wee Dee" these days.

On the bright side, there will be new episodes through Friday. Then Trevor gets put into cold storage until Philadelphia.

I went to Baltimore on a family trip in 1994. Thanks to the strike, we couldn't see the Orioles in action, so we ended up going to Bowie. The stadium was still under construction, and the team gave out plastic hardhats. ETA: Here's the Portland Sea Dogs mascot with two fans.
