  1. Nooooooooo! Yeah, definitely a case of taking part of a remark out of context.
  2. My "epi 10 letdown" comment was trying to think like an Unsullied. Between the things we know are going to happen and the things we hope will happen the show runners have turned the usual procedure on its head. To date we've had a shocking epi 9 followed by a slower paced epi 10 that leaves us with one stand out image as the final shot. This year nonreaders have no idea what they are in for. Should be fun. <evil cackle> I agree that epis 8 and 9 should have been flipped.
  3. I hope it ends with LS but with everything else they have to cover, will there be enough time? There are lots of OMG moments to come. So much for the usual epi 10 letdown after a kickass epi 9.
  4. And when Jack was yelling at the MI5 agents for screwing up his operation, I wished someone had reminded Jack whose country he was in. (Even though they did screw up the operation.)
  5. Dammit count: Jack - 3, gunman - 1. This show gets more and more ridiculous each week. The writers must laugh like lunatics as they come up with absurd, over the top ideas for each episode.
  6. Ah, that's where I know him from. I was hoping Mary would run off with Baker. Too bad the bullet didn't ricochet off one of his brass buttons and hit Abe. Even if the show isn't renewed I've acquired an interest in the subject. Can anyone recommend a good book about the Culper spy ring?
  7. Sorry, guys, I thought anything goes regarding spoilers in this topic. I apologize. Thanks for adding the spoiler tags, SilverStormm. You have no idea how bad I feel if I spoiled anything for anyone. :(
  8. Jon can be released from his vows if there is no more Wall once the smoke clears. Unless he is, you know, really dead.
  9. Do we need spoiler tags in this topic?
  10. In the episode when we first meet Osha she tells Robb that she and her friends did go around the Wall at one coast, but it would be difficult for 100,000 people to sneak around it unnoticed.
  11. Benteen, I just made a similar post in the Preview thread. We apparently think a lot alike. {slaps forehead}. It never occurred to me that the preview with Arya saying someone was coming would mean Brienne and Pod. Should be interesting. As jam packed as the epi will be I don't see how they will fit in Stoneheart. Bums me out because I've been waiting 2 years for her appearance. I thought last season would have been a good place for her to pop up. I'll be very disappointed if Dany gets the last scene again.
  12. How do we think the season will end? Lots of options but I'm guessing won't be one of them. Darn it. We see Bran in the previews but I don't think his scenes will end the season. I don't think we'll see any more of Sansa or Littlefinger. Probably no more of the Boltons or Greyjoys either. Who am I forgetting?
  13. It was so dark and with everyone in black it was hard to tell the good guys from the bad. I really wish the episode had ended with Stannis riding in to save the day. I can see why the writers wanted Jon to have his victory without help from Stannis, but it would mean we could be through with the Wall for the season. Leave episode 10 for the other storylines that need a season ending. It wasn't till I read a post here that I remembered the blown up staircase from the book. That would have been awesome. In the beginning I kept waiting for Jon to suggest the straw men and I'm a bit disappointed it didn't happen. I love that Thorne's character was not assaulted. Yeah, he can be a stubborn jerk but his speech was rousing and showed him to be a true man of the Watch. Opinion seems to be split as to whether or not he died. I'm thinking he must live to challenge Jon for Lord Commander. No, he was just cowering in the corner.
  14. One thing I did like a lot is that Sam wasn't constantly cowering the way he does in the book. He actually had some fairly brave moments. Big improvement to his character.
  15. It was very well choreographed. Man, I hate that both Grenn and Pyp died. Shoot, are they going to end the season with Stannis's arrival?
  16. Queens and young girls are notoriously fickle. It is known. I feel sorry for Varys. Keeping up with the Targaryens is like herding cats. Viserys gets himself crowned, Dany goes off on a neverending quest to free all the slaves of Essos, and Aegon decides to invade Westeros on his own thanks to Tyrion's suggestion. What is a master manipulator to do? I think the mention of a "mummer's dragon" is the best indicator that Aegon is not who they claim he is.
  17. I'm more than a little offended by the marionette wife who needs such reassurance that she is pretty and then starts to perform for her husband. Just too squicky. On the other hand I have to admit the framily is beginning to grow on me. I think it was the addition of GorDON to the group.
  18. But how old is Jon supposed to be on the show? 20ish? I just think it would be a bit weird to have a guy pushing 30 play an impulsive ingenue being trained by a knight and a septa. Plus it would mean (real) Aegon was an adolescent when he was killed, not a young child. It works for Harrington to play a somewhat naive kid because he looks so much younger.
  19. In the book Aegon was 15 or 16, according to Tyrion. Even aging everyone up he shouldn't be more than early 20s, 23 at most.
  20. I was having a dueling dance shows conversation with a friend last night who has never seen SYTYCD but ~~loves~~ DWTS. I sent her a link to the Alex/Twitch hip hop since that is my all time favorite routine. Her response? Hip hop gives her a headache. And she's younger than me. Sigh.
  21. I read the book a long time ago and recognized what the trailer was for immediately, but I have no recollection of the story beyond the basic plot. I remember it being pretty bleak. One thing I do recall is
  22. I found hair flipping, stripping Jessica to be very entertaining and have no doubt she'll make the show, based on her looks if not her dance skills. Also enjoyed Franchesca, Marie, and Jaja. Fik-shun! Such a cutie pie. I'd carry him around in my pocket if I could.
  23. Tania Raymonde? Ben Linus's daughter? Oh, dear seven, please, no. That was terrible.
  24. Will it be Jaime who tries to spirit Myrcella away from Dorne instead of Arianna? And is ambushed by the Sand Snakes? And is scarred in the exchange?
  25. Wake me when Stannis arrives. Zzzzzzz...
