  1. Man, I wish Spencer and Tasha would make it to the end, but I don't know how that could happen. I'm still mad at Kass but I'm glad they booted that entitled princess from the game. That's two jury members who would vote for anyone but Kass.
  2. Yeah, I decided it was too risky to post in the no spoilers episode thread so from now on I'm sticking to the spoiler one only. I wouldn't want to accidentally say something I shouldn't. And bookwalkers should definitely stay out of the Completely Unspoiled thread, no matter how helpful you think you are being. Otherwise it will become a closed conversation that we can't see. There is a thread for asking questions with answers being spoiler tagged, but I think the Unsullied are hesitant to look there.
  3. I have to say I'm really, really looking forward to the reaction to next week's episode. It seems everyone expects Joff to get his comeuppance eventually, but the Unsullied are going to be gobsmacked that it happens so soon.
  4. Good point about Stonehenge. I'd forgotten the legend of giants having erected the standing stones.
  5. Did we know before that Flyte was working for Shine? Did I miss something? Lots of gore this episode. Lots of beatings and a garroting. But the most disturbing thing? Jackson's brother swallowing then passing that big ass diamond.
  6. Didn't Elia have health issues? Not an excuse for Rhaegar to run off with another woman but perhaps the physical side of their marriage was over. Rhaegar's mistake was falling in love rather than visiting the bordello. I've seen a number of posts where people mention they thought the sword melted down at the beginning was Robb's. So what did happen to Robb's sword? Did the Frey's keep it or give it to Roose Bolton? Or because it doesn't have a great lineage does it not matter?
  7. The Purple also refers to Joff's status as king, so I'm not too worked up about the stones being blue. I'm anxious to see how obvious the deed will be. I'd like for it to be so subtle that viewers are left wondering.
  8. "And that's why you buy the Hound a chicken." Excellent.
  9. During the opening credits I was wondering how people felt about seeing yet another eastern city pop up. And speaking of: Brilliant.
  10. So the hairnet is now a necklace. Yup, sure were a lot of hints about what will be revealed in the future.
  11. Gotta love those odd couples, Brienne/Jaime and the Hound/Arya. I could watch them bicker all day.
  12. Well, this is a fine mess you've gotten us into, Olivia. What a horribly bad excuse for a bunch of politicians. Everyone has their dirty little secrets. I pity the poor voters who have to choose among this group of murderers and hypocrites. But I did love Abby's coat.
  13. There was a big discussion in the TWOP spoiler thread about how Shae will end up dead. Although there is some foreshadowing that she will become so angry at Tyrion that she testifies against him and then seduces his father, I'm still thinking it will be Tywin rather than Tyrion that kills her. The show writers have made Tyrion one of the story's heroes so it would be out of character for him to kill his lover in an impassioned rage. I can see him finding Shae dead in his father's bed and then killing Tywin in a different sort of rage. The extent to which Shae betrays Tyrion is going to be a shock to those who haven't read the book. I've seen comments where someone said they hope she's rewarded for her loyalty. Wish granted.
  14. I looked up Lothbruk on Wikipedia (I know) and it means "hairy breeches." Okay then. I guess using the descriptor with the name was a formal way of speaking of someone. Whoever wrote the article says that there is some question as to whether or not Ragnar was a real individual or an amalgam of a number of Viking heroes. His sons were all verified real people however.
  15. Trisha could make a good case for herself with the jury.
  16. I wouldn't go that far but I agree that it was kind of a puzzling comment. Granted the Romans left 300-400 years before, but the invasion by the Saxons is part of the reason the Romans abandoned Britain. (I know it was more complicated than that.) Wouldn't the Saxons have remembered their history of conquest? I would love for this to last long enough for Vikings: The Next Generation. Ubba, Ivar the Boneless...
  17. Wow! Lagertha! Rollo! Ragnar! What a trio of kick ass warriors! That is one intimidating family. And beautiful. That shot of Fimmel holding the eagle? Youza. I really enjoyed the conversation Ecbert and Athelstan had, but I have to disagree with the monk. The Vikings certainly did have art! Every episode I marvel at the gorgeous carvings, jewelry, and embroidery.
  18. Yeah, they were shocked shocked! to find Robb in Jeyne's bed! <snerk>
  19. Here is some more info about season 4 characters and casting.
  20. He's their contact at the Center. He calls to clue them in that their handler wants to meet with them. I guess he also monitors Clark's phone.
  21. Yeah, I thought Martha's revelation of Clark being a wild animal was her denial that the marriage is a wreck. It didn't ring true but she wanted Clark's sister to think that everything was great with them. I think that's why Philip kept avoiding talking about it and when he finally had had enough of Elizabeth's begging things got ugly. It was a difficult scene to watch. I did laugh at the Congressional aide having sex while staring at the photo of Ronald Reagan. I love this show but I'm getting tired of the FBI (particularly Stan) being shown as so inept.
  22. Ding! Ding! Ding! I think we have a winner! Was there a retcon with Luke talking about back in the day when he pined after Rayna? I thought they had only met shortly before they started dating. Oh, of course! The actress certainly gets typecast as trailer trash. My favorite Angela moment was when shopping for her daughter's wedding gown and they picked one with a tasteful amount of butt crack. I also seem to remember Tami Taylor helping her out a time or two.Is it only me that it seems a tad ridiculous that people would have to go on GMA to explain their relationship? Does anyone really care who fathered a singer's kid 15 yrs (or whatever)?
  23. Sarah may well have thought she had something going with Spencer and Jeremiah, but it could have been the guys' way of schmoozing her. Who knows at this point? What is true is that Kass panicked and didn't think through the consequences of flipping prematurely.
