James was a sweety. It would have been better, imo, if Peta didn't go to Disneyland and let Hannah have her James Day. I felt bad for Drew getting scored normally while everyone else got uber scores.

I can't decide how I feel about CCB's. "I'm not a professional dancer. so...." Also, CCB seems to have peaked Week One. I give her credit for doing that knee bounce thing. OUCH-cha mah-GOUCH-cha. I agree that it's unfair for some to dance knowing that they're safe and others... not. Come on, Show. At least try to make it look fair. Agree too, in that how is CCB's score in the same ballpark (or hemisphere) as Meryl's? No, really. Seriously.

I kind of loved that Donny (and Val and Maks) had the nads to take a shot at JH's, "phoning it in." Good one. Nene came across as an entitled bitch, imo. I really thought she was kidding when she left rehearsal and would turn around and come back laughing. Didn't happen. Free Tony.

Amy is so very awesome. and gorgeous. Wow. And I agree that if she were in blue, her dress would have mixed with the fog color which came across as bluish at times on tv. She's athletic and graceful. I hope CAI was not insulting her, but her words could have been chosen differently. Actually the "next Disney princess should be like you" comment was kind of sweet and I hear myself taking up for CAI which never happens heh. I mean, had CAI called any other female on the show a, "Disney princess," or any kind of princess it, would have likely been taken as a compliment - especially in this context of the show (with the gowns and crowns and music and staging and whatnots.) I still have a soft spot for Drew. Nene can go next for me. Glad Diaper Pants is gone, but I, too, felt bad for Whitney. I think Cody's singing and pushing his songs, self promoting, hair adjusting, and IDK what was kind of a turnoff en masse. [/shallow, but I think maybe true] (?) I also think that the sign tweens were plants. Just me? Alrighty then. Also, Cody and Whitney's costumes and the floor were all the same color, sort of, on our tv. Everything looked sort of blonde-ish. I think Bruno was literally fixing his teeth that maybe fell out while speaking, when he leaned into Donny.

Holy crap, WTF with Donny Osmond? Didn't he used to be a charming older gentleman? He looks good, but wow he started in last night as resident pain in the ass from the entrance and it only got worse. He has a show in Vegas, so I don't think he needs the attention. So, Just. WTF? He had plenty to say without making every critique about him. I was half expecting, "Well, once when I was playing a modern little place in Irbid, I rubbed a lamp and a Jinn came out and .... that's why I look so freakin young." I would have given Charlie extra points for dropping the cane, retrieving it, then getting exactly back in step. I'm with Len on that one. The judging was straight from the Twilight Zone, imo, as mentioned. Maks is one hot hunk of man. That is all.

I wasn't crazy about Caleb's song choice. Additionally, his comments were offensive and stupid imo. There are some In the competition who are the same age and younger who manage not to offend the people who they presumably want voting for them and buying their music. It doesn't take a fully formed brain not to be a colossal ass. People go to war, marry, and vote who are younger than Caleb, (not yet fully formed brains) so I think he has enough mental fortitude not to be an ass; Given that, I think it's a choice. But that's my opinion. CJ, OTOH, has serious pitch issues, but his voice has so much feeling that he's apparently winning people over. He's not my favorite in the vocals, but I can see his appeal. Jessica seems the most relaxed when she's singing with other people which is odd for me because I'd think the opposite. I hope she doesn't sleepwalk her way through this because I sort of like her. We'll see if she lasts.

I didn't see After Dark, why is it that they don't make shoes? TIA. Fernando, the fireman, is really hot. [/shallow] As in, the hottest man I've seen on this show and he's really upbeat. Fernando with the beard. Wow. Was anyone else screaming at the tv, "Don't eat the 'shroom!" Scrotum and vag leeches were not good news. Yikes. Also, I don't believe a "modest" person could just strip, walk up to a stranger, a crew, and be on tv even pixilated. Not buying that part. I did see why she was reticent to do naked jumping jacks on camera. That has porn movie written all over it. Nice that he did it with her. That was awesome. Cute thread title, BTW. Clever!

THIS. Foot in mouth is passable for someone who is 14. Also, just because some folks aren't offended by it doesn't mean it's not offensive imo. My husband is neither old nor female, but he thought it was a really rude thing to say especially about people who could be potential fans, cd buyers, ticket purchasers or voters. Really stupid and thoughtless.

Jay: "This whole thing is a huge, 'fog cue.' " :)

"That's my purse!" is indeed one of our all time favs here at the house and we quote it all the time. hee.

I haven't seen anything mentioned in the MSM (Mainstream Media) about HCJ losing his shit and putting a child on his head. Anyone? Just us? Alrighty then. :) Creepy.

Is it weird to anyone else that Sheldon frequently says, "I'm given to understand...?" Is that a thing? Or a character quirk specific to this show/Sheldon? OR do people say that? "I'm given to understand that such inquiries are frowned upon." "I'm given to understand that women have different needs." etc....
-
I really like HCJ as a judge, but I sort of wish he'd stick more to judging. Sometimes I thought he was going a little far with the silly, although I enjoy a little light-heartedness. Then he totally creeped me out with that random child on his neck; That went on WAY too long. Eww. What possessed him to do that? IDK.

Leonard to Penny: "David Underhill is ten times smarter than me. You'd have to drive a railroad spike into his brain for me to beat him at checkers. Next to him, I'm like one of those sign language gorillas who knows how to ask for grapes."

Editor's Note: Discuss Family Guy Here! I've seen, "That really grinds my gears" and the frog out the window but Peter missed so many times, but they're still funny.

I get the plot A's mixed up with some plot B's. Was that the one where they won the money and had to spend it ALL in one day and at the end Doug forgot to put the seed money (the original $100) back in "the jar?" Fight the Power was hilarious. Was Deacon wearing a baby holder thingy too?

There was a B2 instead of B3. Is there any significance to Sam being the last one to the lounge before the B2? That doesn't mean he was B3 (if there were one) or does it? TIA. Of course, TPTB would look like morons for saving Sam had he been the one to leave one week after being, "saved." :) I felt a little sad for Malaya even though I didn't enjoy her singing for the most part. She looked like she may have thought it was CJ going home. The singout was hard to watch.

I find Caleb extremely flippant, dismissive, and rude. Just because something is true, doesn't mean it's ok or appropriate, imo, to say especially on tv. Have they put other contestants in the middle of swooning girls like they did to Sam? And I agree, as mentioned, harping on the "shyness" isn't helping. At least he's not a colossal ass. (imo) Same for shy, calm Alex. I'll take shyness over assholery anytime. Shyness generally diminishes with experience and age. Assholery, OTOH, generally gets worse, imo. Also, for me, loud is not necessarily the new good.
-
I can't stand Caleb and his perma-smirk. (imo) He can get off my screen ASAP. And per the clip of last night, his "baby face" that he apparently thinks is so effective makes him look constipated, imo. Loved JLo's dress and braid. How did Keith squeeze into those pants? They looked painful.
-
The more I think about it, the more creeped out I am at HCJ with that random female child around his neck. Caleb can bite me. If he's the shock boot on the results show, I will do cartwheels with the above posters and also do a prancey dance with hand gestures.

Some people are obese; it's "true" that they're obese, but it's rude to bring it up imo. "Old" in this context with Caleb came across to me as insulting. I don't personally give a shit about what he thinks, but it was super rude to say that imo. "Old" is very different than "young" just like "You have beautiful skin" is very different from "you have unsightly acne." Both can be totally true and both are referencing the condition of skin. One comment is inherently rude and doesn't need to be said imo. If I hear JenNotGina say "LOAF" one more time, I'm going to throw things. Great song choice though. Too bad she botched it horribly (imo.) Her lower register is craptastic imo. Agreed that that song was too big for Malaya. She's not Chaka and I wasn't crazy about the song either. Her soft singing voice is lovely though. THIS. And holy crap it went on for way too long. Sheesh. Awkward and creepy. I was a little surprised at that from him. He seemed out of sorts last night or hyper or something.
-
Creeped out indeed. I thought he was about to introduce us to his daughter.... but she wasn't. Creepy. THIS. Also calling someone "old" is hardly a compliment in any context imo and seems insulting to me. Even Caleb knows that or he should.
-
What was HCJ smoking? Keith Urban's jawline. That is all. Poor JLo seemed like the designated driver at the party where everyone else is buzzed and crazy and thinks everything is funny and the one not drinking doesn't get it.
-
Thank you for that! Now I'm agonizing over the bumper songs. :) I hate that when I know the song, even recent or current hits, but can't think of the name. [/old] And they only play a snippet so I can't even Google the lyrics.

I had previously wondered if Caleb was a jackass. Now I'm sure.
