  2. Even though I'm a much newer B&B viewer than most, I've already often found myself saying to my TV "there are other stories besides triangles!" I know every soap generally has one going at any given time, but it seems like B&B is solely triangles (or quadrangles). Right now we have, at various stages in the process - Wyatt/Hope/Liam, Katie/Ridge/Brooke/Bill/Quinn/Deacon, and we have Maya desperately wanting to be a part of some triangle/quad, ANY triangle/quad, whether it be Carter/Maya/Ric/Caroline, Carter/Maya/Oliver/Aly, or, her dream, I'm sure, Carter, Oliver, and Ric all fighting over here until she chooses Ric. Every now and then they remember to throw in some bits and pieces of non-triangle story line, like machinations and power grabs at FC, but even those seem to be more in service of one or more of the ongoing triangles. And the only characters not actively involved in a triangle/quad get very little screen time, most of which involves them interacting with the triangle participants. It's freaking exhausting.
  3. Nina would be a lot more enjoyable with a non-human nurse. Orangutan has obviously been done. Maybe a python? Leopard? Camel? That's been my problem. Faking a phone call to Immigration from a rival's phone to force a green card wedding is exactly the kind of shit Maxie would have pulled in this situation. And while she also wouldn't have hesitated to do what she thinks Nathan did, she would have used someone else's phone to do it. So if she thinks Nathan is savvy enough to be running this con, where he puts his ass on the line to help her with her case while secretly plotting to get Levi deported, she would think that leaving the call to Immigration on his phone is beneath that scheme.
  4. I keep waiting for him to create Twitter accounts for each character to play out all the stuff that is happening off screen.
  5. Dr.O Spencer Shawn I went back and forth between Shawn and Franco for a while, it was tough.
  6. I assume the meeting with Alexis took place on Ron's Twitter feed. Ditto his divorce conversation with Robin. So would I. Then I'd do the opposite of whatever she advised me to do. I assume the purpose of Lila's Kids is to give Audrey, Lesley, and whatever nanny has been raising Joss some time off? And it appeared to be mostly pants.

  8. So did some people get today's episode? We didn't get it here, CBS was on "Special Report" all through that time slot.
  9. The Twitter conversation was definitely about Karla Mosley. I can understand the confusion, though, because only her initials were mentioned, and Kim Matula is probably the more high profile "KM" on the show. If the conversation hadn't been about Maya, I likely would have thought of Kim first. Maybe we need to go with something like KMa for Kim and KMo for Karla?
  10. Well if Morgan is wandering around shirtless around his brother's girlfriend/ex-girlfriend/ex-girlfriend's daughter...
  11. I've never watched that show, but I might have to make an exception, I bet she's a train wreck. I think you're talking about different KM's. Karla Mosely is the one being discussed re: Twitter not Kim Matula (who I assume you mean).
  12. I loved when Levi showed up and Mac said "I'll call Immigration right now." Do it! Do it!!
  13. And it's not even whether he can trust them overall, but whether he can trust them to not kiss his Hope.
  14. That's why I keep hoping fans will just stop tweeting at Ron about the character. He's a petty bitch, and he's of the "any attention is good attention" school of thought. Combine those two things, and he's more likely to keep around a character like Levi than let him go.
  15. For a second, I thought this was referring to the Maxie/Levi/Nathan story. It would be accurate.
  16. SID said something about how he wishes we'd gotten to see Julian bonding and forming his current relationships with his kids (which I agree with, I don't know how we got to where we are now with Julian/Lucas and Julian/Sam). Ron's response "it's what you're seeing now." While I like the Julian/Lucas scenes, I don't think Ron gets that we want to see relationships developed, not just placed in front of us. I surprisingly liked Olivia today, mostly in her scene talking to the baby, commenting on the Levi/Maxie/Nathan stuff. Oh, and I loved Dante today. And get a clue, Maxie. Levi jumps right to "let's look at his cell phone records" and Nathan hands it over. Both seemed sure of what would or wouldn't be on there. The question to ask is "why was Levi SO sure that call would be on Nathan's phone?" I know you're flaky, but you're not THIS stupid, especially as a schemer yourself. If Nathan was trying to be crafty, he wouldn't have used his cell phone to make the call. Or he would have been smart enough to erase it from his phone. I cracked up at Sonny's "I won't do it myself" to Franco. No kidding. Lucky for you, Franco, he'll likely have Shawn do it. So, you're going to be just fine. Carly might get her second bullet of love if she's anywhere in the city limits when Shawn attempts to pull off the hit, though. I might have even liked Franco a little bit if, when Sonny yelled "stay away from my son!" as he left, Franco had shouted back "which one? You know you have three, right?"
  17. I think I'm really starting to like Aly. I like that they've pulled back on the flat out crazy. And then, today, even though she was obviously hurt and has feelings for Oliver, she was strong enough to say that she can't be with someone if she never knows if he's lying to her. I like that she wasn't so desperate to hang on to him that she was willing to blindly accept whatever he said. Ditto Carter. I love that he saw through all of Maya's bullshit. I thought there was a decent possibility that the guy who was all over Maya when she was obviously into (and involved with) someone else wouldn't be too bent out of shape that she had a brief failed seduction of her ex. And I like that both conversations played out on the same day. There's a lot of similarities there. I think both Oliver and Maya thought that, in Aly and Carter, they had someone who was so into them that they'd be able to stay in their good graces with minimal effort and charm. Oliver was a little smarter than Maya in doing his damage control up front instead of waiting on someone ratting him out to Aly, and I think he does probably genuinely care about Aly more than Maya does about Carter.

    The NBA

I'm glad someone at least mentioned it. I see he's re-signing with Miami, I wonder what that deal is. At this point, with most FA's snapped up, it probably doesn't matter much what he's getting paid this year. Maybe Riley's still thinking of giving him back something similar to his last deal. I know he signed Deng to a two year deal, so maybe his thought is that in two years they can re-tool again. (Side note: That Deng signing killed me. I love Lu, but with or without LeBron, I hate Miami. It's going to be rough seeing him in that jersey multiple times per season.)

    The NBA

That was my first thought. ESPN rides his jock like crazy for years, and he breaks the story with SI. They had to be pissed. What kind of bugged me in all the coverage was twofold. First, there was a whole lot of the "conquering hero returns home" kind of angle to some of the coverage. Which, well, he did't conquer shit for Cleveland. He went out and conquered for Miami, and now he's coming back to Cleveland. It's not like those 2 titles transfer back to Cleveland with him. Second, there's the whole everyone opt out thing in Miami. By all accounts, Wade, Bosh, and Haslem were convinced to opt out after a meeting with LeBron. Obviously, none of us know what was said in their meeting, but the overall narrative was that there was some agreement for everyone to opt out in order to try to restructure salaries and, ideally, get some more help in there, along with LeBron wanting a max deal for a year or two. How much does this whole turn of events screw over Wade? Bosh was going to be fine, someone was going to offer him money, and it turns out Miami was willing to pay him to stay put. Wade, though - who's going to pay him $40+ million for two years at this point? I said when they initially opted out that Riley likely made Wade some off the record promise to recoup that money, and if that's not the case, then LeBron did a really shitty thing to his "brother." But I haven't heard a single reporter point out that this might have left Wade in the lurch. It's all "LeBron returned to Cleveland, so everyone has to think he's better than rainbows, kittens, puppies, AND unicorns combined, got it?" I think it's likely LeBron had at least a pretty strong inkling that he was going to choose Cleveland. It explains him not taking the FA period thing at all seriously (having his agent meet with teams while he vacationed). So the whole opting out thing seems more bizarre, in retrospect. I thought it was bad enough when it was out there as him telling the other three "hey, guys, I want a max deal, and we need to get some help in here, so everyone opt out." But it's worse if he was a driving force in that unanimous opt out decision and he had some idea that he might not stay. But, he did learn a little bit, since it seems like he let Riley know he was leaving ahead of time and didn't leave it to Riley finding out whenever he hit the internet that day. So...progress?
  20. I can't be the only one who was disappointed when he mentioned Carlos Danger and we didn't get the little dance?
  21. Even the SID twitter account regularly tweets Levi hate, and SID usually resides somewhere firmly up Ron's colon.
  22. It would depend on the severity of her condition. From what I understand, someone who is going to die imminently would get bumped up higher on the list than someone who has maybe been on the list longer, but isn't in as severe condition. So it's not just a straight forward "first come first served" kind of wait list, but a lot of factors can go into where someone is on the list. I wasn't this annoyed by Maxie scenes when she was saddled to that waste of space Spinelli. Congratulations, Ron, you've found someone who makes me look back fondly on the Spixie hell. Where's Shawn trying to shoot someone standing 5 feet away from Levi when we need him?
  23. Agreed. I think he felt like it would be awkward to just give her the phone, so he tried to make it less so. I like Cory's relationship with Maya. As Riley's parent, he obviously has concerns some times about what trouble Riley and Maya might get into together, but he also has his own friendship with Shawn to draw on, so he knows that the "rebel" kid can also have a good heart and look out for their best friend, and that Riley and Maya can balance each other out (which goes back to him urging Riley to be herself and not try to be Maya). Like others, I had friends in school over the years who had a parent as their teacher. I know when I was in Jr. High, each grade had just one teacher for each subject, so it doesn't seem odd to me if Cory is the only history teacher at their grade level. There were even two subjects were the same teacher taught both 7th and 8th grade.
  24. That's one that I still keep going back to. Has he ever bought a new engagement ring by now? Or has he just kept recycling the same one back and forth between the two of them for years?
  25. Today was the set-up for my dream story line - Sonny is going to attempt to kill Franco, and, somehow, in the process of the murder attempt and Carly's attempt to rescue him, Sonny, Carly, and Franco all end up dead. Win-win-win.
