  1. I think the circumstances around Walt and Grey Matter were a bit ambiguous. Walt clearly thinks he was screwed, though that might have been Heisenberg talking. I could see that even if he agreed that he sold his interest in the company, for $5,000, he might have believed he was entitled to his share of royalties from the patents he helped develop. Remember how he told his class the story of H. Tracy Hall, who invented synthetic diamonds while working for GE and only got a $10 savings bond out of it?
  2. Precursor to Walter White? Pun intended? :) She reminds me a bit early Skyler. Her hubby makes millions through criminal activity and she bosses him around. It is interesting that like Skyler she seemed immune to Jimmy/Saul's fast talking charm. He was ready to sign the agreement with Jimmy, but she stopped him at the last second. If Team Kettleman gets away with the embezzlement, I wonder if he will get them to launder the cash at the nail salon where his office is.
  3. And "How many dogs have you eaten?"
  4. They used the song Windy because it sounded like Wendy and also because she was giving what Hank referred to as "windies". "How much you charge windy, Wendy?"
  5. The song actually is Windy not Wendy.
  6. Apparently, Vince Gilligan likes to have fun with titles. I never knew this until I read it today, but the 4 season 2 BB episodes with the pink bear teasers were titled, in chronological order: "737 Down Over ABQ", which revealed what the teasers were foreshadowing.
  7. That would have to be a Jesse Pinkman episode. :-)
  8. I think you are on to something. Episode 4 is called "Hero" and episode 5 is "Jello".
  9. The Kevin Costner reference was from Breaking Bad. "Breaking Bad: Abiquiu (#3.11)" (2010) Saul Goodman: If you're committed enough, you can make any story work. I once told a woman I was Kevin Costner, and it worked because I believed it.
  10. Yup! That can also be problematic as a diet of only extremely lean meat can lead to "rabbit starvation".
  11. Good info about the batteries. I wasn't thinking of ones on shelves in auto parts stores, but ones in the abandoned cars, which would be more exposed to the elements and possibly supplying power to alarm systems and such.As for the non perishable food supply, I think there might be much, less around than we might assume. How much of a supply of food does the average household have. Maybe a few weeks worth in an emergency? I would think Walmarts and supermarkets turnover their inventory fairly quickly so there might only be about enough to supply the full population for a week or two. Assuming there is about a 2 week supply for the full population, if 10% of the population remained, it would last about 20 weeks. They could stretch it out by eating less and conserving it, but within a year or two, I think it could be very scarce. With nobody to maintain the stores, a lot of the boxed, dry foods, would also be destroyed by rats, mice. roaches, meal moths and other pests or by rain from leaking roofs or excessive heat or humidity. Then again the remaining population could be far less than 10% and would be dropping steadily.
  12. I watched the scenes involving the $26K check again and found: 1) There was no special endorsement language on the back of the check at all, that would mean cashing it would forfeit any of Chuck's interest in HHM. It was simply an ordinary check, made out to Jimmy. 2) The letter that came with it does not mention Chuck at all. It simply said "Pursuant to your discussions with Howard Hamlin, please find the enclosed check." When they discussed the (now torn up) check at HHM, Howard was vague about what it was for but said it was for Chuck. He said it was just the first and there would be more if Jimmy didn't keep tearing them up. He claimed it was made out to Jimmy because he assumed Chuck couldn't make it to the bank in his condition. (A ridiculous excuse as Jimmy could deposit it for him). He also said they could do it any way Jimmy liked, meaning they could make the checks out to Chuck. I am even more convinced it was a bribe to stop Jimmy from fighting for Chuck to get a multi million dollar buy out. I also think it might have been a ploy to make it look like Jimmy was going behind Chuck's back and extorting money from HHM. I get the feeling that Jimmy and Howard are in a battle for Chuck's heart and mind, sort of like Walt and Gustavo's battle to win over Jesse. At this point it seems like Jimmy is losing that battle. I wonder if Chuck has any kids Jimmy can poison. :-)
  13. "Yeah, discrete, like a stripper pole in a mosque." "You felonied my brother!"
  14. I doubt the $26K was meant as a buyout, in lieu of the $17mm. It wasn't even made out to Chuck, but to Jimmy. I took it to be a sort of bribe to Jimmy to stop pushing for a buyout for Chuck and allowing them to maintain the status quo. Hamlin seemed quite content to perpetuate the fiction that Chuck was merely on a "sabbatical" and would be returning to his role in the firm before long, as did Chuck.
  15. I just remembered that the babbling tweaker in Jesse's house who got the pizza and dipping sticks in "Bullet Points" expressed a fear of radiation similar to Chuck's.
  16. Jimmy defends Marie Schraeder (alias Charlotte Blattner and Tori Costner) on theft and criminal impersonation charges, unbeknownst to her real and imaginary husbands. He negotiates an adjournment on contemplation of dismissal, with the condition that she undergo court ordered counseling with Dave, who just happens to be an old classmate of Jimmy's at the University of American Samoa.
  17. Bogdan would be great. Maybe Jimmy could represent a client who is suing him for unfair employment practices or maybe "KEN WINS" after his car is damaged at A1 Car Wash. BTW, I wonder if Bogdan ended up buying A1 back, in a DEA auction, for a fraction of what the Whites paid him for it. Yes, Spooge and Skank would be great clients. Maybe on their first drug bust, looking much, less horrifying. Skank could be pregnant with Spooge Jr.
  18. It looked like a shopping mall, not an airport.Actually an airport might be a good place, as if he was tipped off that he was in danger he could quickly hop on a plane. Also, if the Cinnabon was in the area beyond the TSA screening, he could be relatively certain that nobody with a weapon could get to him there. Honestly, I think they did the Cinnabon in Omaha thing to make loyal BB fans smile. When he said it in "Granite State" I think it was probably intended to be Saul's way of colorfully describing the new, pathetic life that awaited him in Nebraska, as opposed to an actual job the Disappearer had set up for him. I was a bit disappointed they didn't also show exactly "3 pairs of Dockers" hanging in his closet. :)
  19. I was searching for Mr. Pinkman, but couldn't find him. Originally IMDB listed him as in episode 1, but now it says "unknown episodes" as you mentioned. Looks like Krazy-8 and Juan Bolsa will also be showing up in "unknown episodes". That should be fun.
  20. True, but I didn't know what would become of the skaters. When watching BB, I pretty much knew WW wasn't going to die or get caught until the end, but I still felt tension and suspense when it seemed his life was in danger or he was about to get busted (which was pretty much all the time).
  21. Maybe some sort of general warning about "Breaking Bad Spoilers" could be kept at or near the top of the forum.
  22. Regarding the checks from HHM, I think Jimmy believes that the firm is trying to con Chuck with them, to keep him from cashing out of the firm, which would cost them far, more cash. I think HHM probably sent the $26,000 check in Jimmy's name, as a sort of bribe, to get him to stop trying to stand up for his brother's interests. Regarding the threats to Saul, between Walt, Jesse, Hank and Fring, pretty much all of the cartel and the entire Salamanca family was killed, so I don't think anyone from that world would be a threat. At the time he went to the Disappearer, the Nazis and Lydia were still alive, but I didn't get the sense he was afraid of them or that he was on their radar. I think his immediate concern, when he went on the run before going to the Disappearer was that Jesse would try to kill him and also that Jesse might inform on him, or cause him to be exposed by his carelessness. Once he met with Walt at the Disappearer's place, he would have believed Jesse to be dead, killed by Jack and his crew, after a good torturing by Todd. I think he was disappearing from the DEA, certain that his connection to Heisenberg had been or would soon be revealed.
  23. Don't forget Kevin Costner. I wonder if he is any relation to notorious spoon thief, Tori Costner. :)
  24. Is it true that Rick was refusing to shave until Tyrese killed a bad guy? :)
  25. I don't think he is schizophrenic. Doesn't that normally manifest itself at a much, younger age. I think he has a severe phobia of electromagnetic fields, which he believes harm him in some way, which has become debilitating to him, making him terrified to leave the house, or be around any electricity.
