  1. I agree Justin and Diana were good, but not great racers. They made their share of mistakes and had a lot of good luck. They were extremely lucky to make the final 3 after not reading the clue last week and getting the penalty.
  2. Regarding the cabs: 1) Justin's cab driver wanted an additional $100 to wait. Justin wanted to only pay him a total of $100 including the $50 he already owed for the ride to Randall's Island. He also haggled to take off $5 for an $8 toll Justin had apparently laid out. So Justin blew $1 million to save $50, not $100. I wonder how much race cash they had on them? 2) When Justin tried to steal L&C's cab he casually acted as if it was their cab. He said, "Are so you ready to go?" to the driver. It seemed like the driver didn't want to abandon his fares but didn't want to get into a conflict so he initially played dumb, pretending not to know how to get to Belmont and eventually became uncomfortable when both Justin and Diana were a bit rude to him and just left. K&J's driver made it clear he was waiting for his fares and wouldn't take them. 3) Kelsey and Joey's driver did not "let" L&C into the cab. When they approached he said, "No, no, no.". They ignored him and said, "Belmont Park" and got in anyway. Kelsey came running up saying, "We still owe him." Logan yelled, "We can take it, there's nothing in it!" Chris repeated, "There's nothing in it." Kelsey went to the driver who had rolled down the window and said, "You're with us." Joey arrived and said, "Get the hell out!" Chris immediately complied and Logan followed right behind him yelling at him. It seemed clear that the driver was not going to take Logan and Chris anywhere. I also found it funny that Logan berated Chris for getting out of the cab, when she got out a half second after him. Why didn't she stay and fight for it, if she thought he was so dumb to surrender it?
  3. Disagree about the cab fight. It seemed like Logan was trying to bully the driver into taking them instead of waiting for K&J. I don't think he was going to take them anyway. Plus K&J hadn't paid him yet. On the final leg, it would seem like a no brainer to leave your bags in the cab to make sure nobody else could steal it. If they get stolen or forgotten at that point, who cares? The race is over anyway. Logan and Chris got screwed by Justin who scared their cab off trying to steal it.
  4. I never saw an ending where all the eliminated racers seemed so genuinely thrilled to see a team arrive at the mat. Nothing against Kelsey and Joey, but I am pretty sure it was mainly a "It's NOT Justin!" reaction.
  5. Don't cry Justin. You are still the Fake Amazing Race champion
  6. Best ending ever! Justin loses by being a flaming douchebag and stiffing his cab driver on the tip. Cry, Justin, cry! Who won again? :)
  7. I think Jeremy is the favorite, but I don't think "Val is pregnant" will help him much, if at all. Generally speaking, "I need the money more" arguments are losing ones. I remember being disgusted by Dawn trying to use her 6 adopted children spiel. Plus, having a baby isn't exactly a horrendous hardship.
  8. I think that "worthy final 3" talk was really about survival. I believe Tasha came up with it because she was getting nervous about getting voted out and Jeremy and Spencer went along with it because they were filled with buyer's remorse over voting out Joe and were terrified of an all girls alliance. They were probably thrilled that Tasha was anxious to continue working with them. I don't think any of the three were sincere about the worthiness talk or about wanting to be in the final 3 with the other 2.
  9. I enjoyed Lincoln Potter's quirky character as well. I was half expecting to find out he was really a cartel or IRA member. Overall I liked season 4, but I HATED the "Romeo is with the CIA twist". It just seemed like a cheap reset button plot device employed because they couldn't write an intelligent way to resolve the story arc.
  10. Tiffany deserves a ton of credit for being so supportive of Krista and encouraging her to keep trying. I can only imagine how Justin would have berated Diana if she took 5 tries. I imagine the elimination would have been much more painful for Krista if Tiffany had allowed her to quit. I hope they both marry rich. :)
  11. Justin is such a crybaby douchebag. Even if he wins TAR he will always be a LOSER.
  12. I agree that Joe was a much better guy than Savage and was sad to see him go. That said, I have absolutely no problem with players celebrating when a vote or challenge goes their way. Also, I rewatched TC and I didn't see any real eye rolling by Wentworth. She made various expressions with her face and her eyes, but I didn't see any Ciera-like eye rolling. I didn't mind Ciera's eye rolling either, though I wasn't sure whether to be impressed or freaked out by her ability to roll her eyes in different directions. :)
  13. I believe you can waive your right to sue for negligence, but not gross negligence. I think most suits against Survivor would technically be barred based on waivers and assumption of risk. However, that doesn't mean suits could not be filed that might prevail despite legal technicalities and would cost a great deal of legal fees to defend them Besides that, I don't think TPTB want to see anyone seriously injured or killed regardless of immunity from lawsuits.
  14. Keith, Kimmi and Abi at FTC. Who wins? I don't think Keith has much of a chance, but it is not totally impossible. Only Abi has absolutely zero chance of winning, IMHO.
  15. Tasha needs to decide if she wants to be Woo and lose to the best or give herself a far better chance of winning by going with the women's alliance. I would love to see a Jeremy-Spencer-Tasha final, as they are my 3 favorites, but I think Tasha would be foolish to go that way. Plus, there is a decent chance that Jeremy and Spencer would team up with Kimmi or Abi and blindside Tasha when there are 4 left. They would no longer need her. I suppose Tasha could do the same to one of them.
  16. I thought this season started out great, but the plot became ridiculously convoluted. So many clichéd and unrealistic plot twists. Zobel is a white supremacist, no he's an opportunistic drug dealer...oh wait he is an FBI informant and "protected". I also found all the shifting feuds and alliances between the various criminal gangs to be absurd. Also, the idea that gangs need a constant influx of new guns and that their supply line options were so limited is silly. Do the gangs use the rifles once and then throw them away? Semi-auto AR-15s and AKs are widely and legally available and converting them to full auto (if even necessary) while illegal is not that difficult. SAMCRO should have just gotten revenge halfway through the season and then moved on to new challenges.
  17. I agree that the women's alliance is the smartest move for all 4 remaining women. It gives them each the best chance of reaching FTC and winning at FTC. I also agree about Joe. Everyone seems to think he would be a sure winner if he reached FTC, but I am not sure that is the case. Nearly everyone wanted him voted out and was frustrated by their inability to do so for so long. A smart finalist could have played on this with the jury and said "Joe has no social or strategic game, and most of us wanted him out, but he kept getting bailed out by his physical abilities. Well now is our chance. You are totally in control of his fate and his body can't save him." I think Jeremy, Spencer, and perhaps a few others could have beaten Joe at FTC.
  18. Individual immunity only protects one member of an alliance. If a guy wins immunity next week the girls can just vote out one of the other 2. Jeremy's idol might be the only hope for the men's alliance. They could have really used the one he foolishly wasted on Fishbach. I think Tasha has little choice but to stick with the girls alliance. If she betrays them and takes 2 guys with her to FTC, she will likely lose all 3 of their votes. That would make it very difficult to beat strong players like Jeremy and Spencer at FTC. Also, the girls alliance gives her a much better chance of making it from the final 4 to the final 3, as she is probably the strongest remaining woman in challenges (though you could make an argument for Wentworth).
  19. Agree about Abi, but I think she will be at FTC. She is a perfect goat with absolutely zero chance of beating anyone at FTC. I think Tasha will go for the all girls alliance. Would you rather sit next to Spencer and Jeremy (or Keith) or Abi and Kimmi? I think Tasha and Wentworth will end up battling for the final spot next to Kimmi and Abi, and whoever gets there will win. I bet Jeremy wishes he had that 2nd idol he squandered on the cry baby. I suspect Jeremy might whip out the remaining idol at TC next week to try to foil the girls alliance.
  20. So Stephen considers someone he met in person twice to be a "very, close friend"? I think that the exchange demonstrates that by any normal human standards Spencer was correct that they were not very, close friends. The fact that he forgot about 1 of their 2 meetings only strengthens that case. Stephen sounds like some sort of obsessive stalker in the exchange. Regardless of that, Survivor is a game where you vote out your own mother...ask Ciera.
  21. I don't believe for a second that Spencer was secure in the Jeremy/Tasha/Stephen/Kimmi alliance. It seemed rather obvious that he was #5. I think Stephen is trying to convince the world that Spencer made a "mistake" when he knows he made the right move, because he is bitter about that move.
  22. I think this half season would be a very good 3 or 4 episodes. IMHO, they have done that much good storytelling, but stretched it out over 8 episodes (including two 90 minute ones). The Glenn's death fake out fiasco made this even worse. You can't be a show that leaves viewers anxiously wanting to know what happens next and one that drags out the plot at a snail's pace for the sake of character development at the same time. It frustrates viewers.
  23. I am guessing Ford didn't think it was getting enough bang for its buck on the sponsorship and decided to spend the advertising dollars elsewhere. Another possibility is that someone in the Ford media department was a big fan of the race but has now moved on. It is also possible that a relatively new company like Fitbit outbid Ford to be the main sponsor, in order to get its name out there.
  24. Could be they were trying to help Justin a bit. It could also be that Ford dropped its sponsorship and Fitbit became the major product placement sponsor. I have to think that if TAR had a big automobile sponsorship this season the racers would be doing plenty of driving.
  25. Depending on the ammo, a gun shot from a handgun at 10 feet will take slightly more or less than 1/100th of a second to reach the target's brain. Far less time than it takes to cut a throat, I believe. The legitimate concern would be missing and accidentally shooting the hostage. But at such close range and experienced shooter should be able to make the shot.
