  1. I would so love to see Mika with Russell Brand again. With Joe there.
  2. Mika has worn short, tight sheaths for years and years. Not wearing them is a new development. She was full-on Mayberry RFD today. I focus on what she's wearing/not wearing rather than what she's saying because she rarely adds substance when she speaks.
  3. Meri didn't specify which Americana print she is chasing, just the size; wondering which print has stolen her heart because it would be SO hard to choose. http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=lularoe+americana+carly

  5. Thank you for the responses, WhineandCheez and teddysmom. I heard about the WaPo article last night and/but was rather surprised when it was brought up this morning. The return on international money laundering is obscene. This could be yuge and I wonder how far Joe is willing to go with it. I knew it wasn't Joe's voice so I was curious about who today's helper was (and why there was a helper).
  6. Brava, Jeanius! Excellent post. (Get outta my head)
  7. Join in! The mods usually don't bite too hard and they hand out Neosporin and Band-Aids if they break the skin. I've had a post or three or four disappear and I lived to tell the tale.
  8. Did Donnie bring up money laundering? Someone did, right? That's where I'm at; everything fits, there. Hoping the third hour for me is a repeat of the first hour so I can listen again better.
  9. 'Morning Joe' Anchor Mika Brzezinski Lists $2M Home in Westchester County Feb 13, 2017 http://www.realtor.com/news/celebrity-real-estate/mika-brzezinski-selling-westchester-county-home/?cid=syn_taboola_0301_desk_cel-01&pid=tab:msn-msn-home
  10. Ah, so. My comprehension isn't what it used to be, sometimes. (Damn you, Paxil!)
  11. Late night at the ball game. Surely, you jest. (Or you didn't hear about the shootings at a ball game in VA. Rep Steve Scalise and a Capitol policeman, plus others. Perhaps 14 rounds, from a rifle.) I heard some birthday mockery but didn't realize it was for Trump so I zoned on it. Forrest Sessions!
  12. The shootings in Virginia, I would guess. M & J mumbled for awhile, basically providing zero information, so I switched to CNN and, lo and behold: news coverage.
  13. Kasie ! Hunt fleshed out the story behind television crews being kicked out of Senate hallways. The Rules Committee newsflashed reporters yesterday morning and No One would take credit/blame for the "verbal directive." Kasie ! reminded us that these impromptu interviews are a decades-long precedent. (The Capitol has its own rules.) This directive was quietly rescinded later in the day following a lot of "nothing to see here" after it backfired, big time. Someone (David Ignatius?) said "Not that long ago the most dangerous place in DC was between a Congressperson and a TV camera." Weasels. ETA so as not to be a rumor monger: Interviews wouldn't have been Totally Banned by the directive, per se, but subject to pre-approval by each Senator's staff AND the Rules Committee - which was not the same thing as banning reporters. ::: wink wink :::
  14. There's that, and also the Big Blow-up. What happened just prior to the engagement? Joe romped on her with a nasty teeth-gritted slam toward the end of a show and it was obvious that she was torqued when she tore off her earpiece as they faded out, and then she was absent for the rest of the week. Come Monday, she was back and we learned that they became engaged in the south of France over the weekend! Since then she's been trying on the new persona of Mrs Morning Joe with, one would assume, more equal footing on the show. But she is not comfortable doing that because He is not comfortable with it. She has always spoken in clichés and slogans and it's worse now. She wobbles like a new-born colt, starting off fairly well expressing a thought or opinion but trailing off when she can't find the words she wants to use. Then she subsides for awhile and is next heard chirping slogans and memes. Word salad, chirping, word salad, chirping. According to her book, she wanted to be at the TV studio or on the road when she was home and wanted to be home when she was at the studio or on the road. I give her credit for being honest enough to admit that she fell down a full flight of stairs with her infant daughter in her arms because she had over-burdened herself and created a frantic lifestyle. It seems like someone who has had such a hunger for this career, with 25(?) years in broadcasting and 10 years on this show, would organize her thoughts and express herself better and be able to respectably hold her own during discussions. She doesn't know her value.
  15. Thank you for posting that link.
  16. OMG, yes. He said "Will You Let Me Finish" through gritted teeth, like a parent at the end of summer who is sick of kids and ready for school to start. He's been his usual amount of disparaging and condescending toward her this week but today was the worst. Damn, but they feed off each other. Beginning with the engagement, Mika has reminded me of four-legged creatures who stand and walk immediately after birth. Instinct tells them to stand up so they try and they're all wobbly and they sorta manage it and they take a few steps but it's too much and then, bam, they're down again. They don't stay down, they keep trying, but it takes awhile until they lose the clumsy. Some days Mika wobbles and some days she shrieks and chirps and, since the engagement, she has seriously lost her footing. She was nearly jumping out of her skin today, which is understandable. Two weeks is a long time to wait for a funeral. Most of us get something like the "closure" of a funeral within a few days, or maybe a week. (I also think she knows the new haircut is too severe again, at least I hope she does.) Anyway, Joe is an ass.

  18. LOL at "during the commercials" because Everything at my house gets done during commercials. Three of us here so far have shared about walking indoors. We're not mental giants, we just thought outside the box. Janelle spends most of her time running into imaginary barriers, while having zero curiosity and imagination.
  19. I was in really good shape when I was a home hospice CNA because of the varied movements required: fast-walking, lifting, carrying, stooping, bending, etc. A couple years after I retired I realized that I wanted to lose 15-20 pounds so I decided to walk at home. I started at the front door, walked up the stairs, looped through the rooms upstairs, walked downstairs and through the house to the back door, walked around the house to the front door and then started another lap. I did that for 10 minutes, or 20, or even 5, but I made sure to do it a few times every day. I did it often enough that I lost 6 pounds in the first month, without making any other efforts or changes. Janelle's house is a lot bigger than mine and I think she could benefit from doing what I did.
  20. "You know, you have such a stunningly superficial knowledge of what went on that it's almost embarrassing to listen to you." Joe: "Oh, is it?"
  21. Yea, truly ... Washington, Jefferson, Adams, etc should move on over and make room for Scarborough. (And he needs a lotta room.)
