ITA. Plus, Mika was criticized for her appearance and demoted/fired well before MJ so she's been there, done that. As far as caring how she looks on camera - well, she did choose a career in TV rather than print or radio. Like most of the talking heads we watch. What sets her apart is that she's been telegraphing her preoccupation with how she looks for the 10+ years she's been on MJ. Prime example: the signature scarf. (I think the glasses are for Avenatti.)

I saw them yesterday for the first time, and she made a comment about having a problem with her contacts. She was cute-sy about the glasses and was having trouble focusing on the monitor. As they went to the next break Joe could be heard saying "Put your contacts in." So, WTF? And now again with the glasses this morning. LOL. She is just incredibly wrapped up in how she looks on camera.

IIRC, from watching their interplay morph, they were fooling around for years. Now they want to hand wave that reality and call the shots as to how they are covered. Actually, what they would really, really like is to call the shots as to how they are perceived let alone covered. Sorry, ain't gonna happen. Allow me to introduce a new concept to your life lived in a bubble: it's called "first you play and then you pay." They "came out" one year ago. It took that small amount of time to become a national joke. Reality is a bitch. Not looking forward to Mika's steely gaze and aggrieved tone of voice in the coming weeks. OK, creepy. This morning I rec'd a call from an unfamiliar number so I let it go. A bit later I did a reverse lookup and the number is a landline in Parowan. (Where I know no one.)
