This is the SUNDAY Arrow panel from Dragon Con (recorded by the same Lauriver fan who recorded the Saturday panel that's posted on page 195 of this thread) - I only transcribed portions of the panel below... Arrow Panel from Dragon Con 9/6/15 -- Male Olicity fan asked SA what does Oliver love about Felicity and what does SA love about Felicity. SA: "Well, I love her ability to deliver a line. (JB writes note and shows it to SA) John just wrote something down that I can't say. (everyone laughs) ... Oliver does not enjoy her cooking. Is that okay? She's a horrible cook. She's good at everything else. (everyone laughs). JB: "I wrote down 'tits'." (everyone laughs) -- Female fan asked about Olicity stunts in S4. SA mentioned EBR firing a machine gun. SA: "But as for stunts between the two of us, I don't think we've done any thus far." JB then mimed two people kissing. SA put his face in his hands, while audience laughed. JB: "That's a stunt for me." SA: "Other than those. Plenty of that." -- While KC was answering a question about Laurel's tough "emotional" journey to BC last season, SA mentioned the "good" hallway scene between Oliver and Laurel in S2 and then said "we have the opposite scene this year... which is actually really cool." KC: "Yep, it's awesome." (audience has no audible reaction and is quiet) -- There was an incident with SA's chair breaking during the panel. When a new chair was brought out and the broken chair taken away, JB quipped "make sure that goes to the Flash cast." -- Female fan asked KC what she thinks Laurel will bring to Team Arrow. KC: "Well, I actually felt like this season I was part of the team. I guess you didn't. (laughs) I feel like she definitely - Laurel has grown as a character, gotten stronger, and has been forced to step up to the plate. And I feel as though she proves herself in season 3, and I think that season 4, you're going to see her continue to do so. And, you know, season 3 when Laurel went out as the Black Canary and was fighting on the street, she was fighting with, you know, her heart, she didn't have the skill level. So I think definitely this season - (JB interjects, "she didn't") - but this season I definitely think you will see her - she's been trained, she knows what she's doing. She's going out, she's doing it, she has the support of the rest of the team behind her." Then SA said: "There's no leader of the team this year. It's an actual team, which is cool." -- KC was asked whether we'll see her training and doing the salmon ladder. KC: "Hell, yeah... I actually [asked/allowed?] Stephen to teach me, and hopefully we'll film it." SA: "That's what we're missing right now. We're missing a really good Oliver Laurel sparring training sequence." -- KC: "When I originally met with Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg - and Marc Guggenheim - and they pitched me the show, I was definitely excited about the fact that Laurel Lance becomes the Black Canary. And it was definitely part of the reason why I took the job. Also, David Nutter was our director, he's a fantastic director. Greg Berlanti obviously has produced many, many shows. It was just great people that I wanted to work with, and be in business with. And the script was fantastic. And then Stephen signed on. And I had never met Stephen before, but - and I always said this, I read the script, I hadn't seen him before, but I read the script not knowing what he looked like. But having a vision of what - who this character, who this actor needs to be, and they could really screw this up if they cast the wrong person. Or it can turn out to be this incredible show. When they cast Stephen, I was just like, 'sign me up', this is exactly who I envisioned in my head, and I think they obviously knew what they were doing." SA: "Do you know how I found out you got the part of Laurel?" KC: "No." SA: "You followed me on twitter." ... KC: "But having said that, it's television, and season 2, you know, they hired my sister to come back, Caity Lotz, and she did a wonderful job, as the Canary. And, you know, I have to say, though, I appreciate them because they made it that much more legitimate. And Laurel, she really had to earn it in the most honest way possible. She wasn't - you know, overnight, she didn't become this superhero and, you know, well-skilled, well-trained, she actually went through hard times, hit rock bottom, came out the other end. And I felt like that was the right way to go about it, and it made it that much more fulfilling and paid off, at least - especially for me as an actor and hopefully for you guys, for the fans. And, um, I've had the time of my life. I don't really know how else to describe everything that we've gone through, and going to set every single day, and then having a character and being on a show - it's truly a journey, and constantly growing and changing, and you're not going to work every day being the same character year after year. You're actually getting different challenges and different, um - your journey is just so large and that's what's so wonderful about our producers and our writers - and I hope I answered your question." -- SA: "On Wednesday we start our 75th episode." -- Male fan said that the dynamics between characters on the show has changed so much since season 1 and asked if there was any particular new dynamic or scene that they're looking forward to this year. SA: "There's really good Diggle-Lance stuff this year, which has never happened. I don't know if they've even ever met." -- SA: "Lance hitting Diggle in the trailer might be a little misleading." -- JB and SA each kissed KC on the cheek. They were demonstrating stuff they used to do to try to throw KC off, like kissing her randomly on the cheek after giving a line. KC said that she'd try to stay in character and try to incorporate it into the scene. SA: "Laurel, you'll never understand, you've made a horrible mistake, and I'm never going to forgive you." (he then gets up, goes over to KC and kisses her on the cheek) -- JB said that he wants a love interest for Malcolm. MN interjected that in his back story as Ra's al Ghul, "we were lovers." -- Once when JB was having lunch with his husband Scott and AK, they were discussing Malcolm's future and AK said that they were thinking about making Malcolm Oliver's father. JB rejected the idea as too Darth Vader. Then JB's husband, Scott, who was eating his caesar salad at the time, said, "no, it's not a good idea. What about Thea, your daughter?" JB said, "honey, you don't even watch the show with me," and Scott said, "I do". And AK made note, "Thea, Malcolm's daughter" and he was like "brilliant!" To thank Scott, they wrote in a character called Dr. Sheridan Gill, because Sheridan is Scott's real name. -- SA said that he usually reads a version of the script before the production draft (MG sends him the script). He then usually has 10 or 15 notes or ideas, "not necessarily pertaining to Oliver's character", and they "usually get implemented in some way, shape or form. It's a really collaborative process." -- SA said that, in the S2 hallway scene between Oliver and Laurel, Oliver's line, "I've loved you for half my life, but I'm done running after you", was borne out of discussions he had with KC and was not in the original script. -- JB said that SA has a photographic memory. SA can remember everyone's lines and can also recall which scene comes from which episode. A fan tested him by asking him questions about certain Olicity scenes, and SA answered with the episode number and name.

Laura Hurley compares the respective journeys of Oliver Queen and Barry Allen... zexyafrosnatcher asks: Hi Laura. I really enjoyed your discussion about who is more of a hero between Daredevil and Arrow. I find myself in the same situation whenever people compare Barry Allen and Oliver Queen. Their journeys are so different that whenever people hate on Oliver my hand shoots up like Hermione (do you approve this reference?). For example, in the Flarrow crossover when Oliver told Barry he’s lost so many people and Barry hit back with “and I lost my mother” I went yeah buuuuuuuut. And I don’t want to get into what losing a parent at a tender age can do to ones psyche (I mean Batman…) But I also don’t feel like the two stories should be compares in that way. Barry lost his mum, but still had his dad believing in him and loving him AND he had another support system in Joe West and Iris. Oliver repeatedly lost people he cared about, who acted as his support system for 5 years and was mentally and physically damaged over and again. I mean different situations folks. I’m not trying to down play Barry’s pain, but I’m super uncomfortable even comparing their respective journeys. Here are some other fan tweeted reports from Dragon Con 2015, courtesy of Natalie @kalichica12 and Em @Olicityibelieve... - DR was injured and couldn't make it. SA invited fans to tweet him your best wishes. - JB said that if you love s3, you're gonna be even more in love with S4 because it'll be a roller coaster. - JB said about EBR: "She's a lovely girl to work with and she's hot!" - "It's all about the relationships in Arrow" SA nodding. - SA kinda would prefer to be watching football than being here. - A fan asking a question just told the guys to tell Emily she's gorgeous & sorely missed at today's panel. - JB felt like a proud dad about SA's wrestling experience on WWE. - SA was asked about Ronda Rousey being an Olicity fan and if she will guest star to interact with TA. - SA can't say anything about the flashback because it's secret. But he had a lot of fun and they used a set they haven't used in a long time. - SA said that DD has been in every episode they have filmed so far, and NM has been excellent. - MN said that working with SA on the mountain top was 100% him (SA) and MN was doubled 90% in the fight. - SA said that they were not a show where they can just open their hands and there's fire, with all due respect to his cousin. - The schedule has been arranged to allow SA to train and film shirtless scenes. - SA said that Malcolm will be the voice of reason, the moral voice of reason once this season. - WH thinks she's better than SA at archery now. - Panel ended with showing the S4 trailer. - SA had a small smile on his face during the Olicity scene of the trailer.

SA previously said that Oliver & Felicity settled down into domesticated life in a place that is "not Starling City". This was echoed by WM (they settled in a place "not to be named"). Where they actually settled has never been expressly identified by SA or the EPs, although fans have speculated it was Coast City. Really sounds like the big theme of the season is family (as others have suspected earlier) and trust. They lay Oliver's new faith in humanity at Felicity's feet but at the same time say that it will be tested. I wonder how personal they will make this vs just having to deal with an evil mad man. WM previously said that she and MG already know how S4 is going to end. If this season is going to end with Oliver's hero journey progressing, and not regressing, then Oliver is going to have to emerge triumphant with his faith in humanity intact, despite the trials and tribulations inflicted by DD over the course of the season. However, it's possible that the EPs are going to end this season on a down, with Oliver broken once again and his relationship with Felicity over - so that they start building him up again in S5, with the ultimate culmination of his hero journey toward becoming the fully realized Green Arrow (tv version) in S6. So who knows? There was previous discussion about how magic was also a theme of S4. But I now look at magic & mysticism as less of a theme and more of an additional weapon used by the Big Bad in S4, and a new challenge for Oliver to overcome. Magic & mysticism were introduced via the LP last season, but I think they become more of an active weapon wielded by DD this season - which means that Oliver will have to find a way to combat or counteract them. The main theme this season is clearly going to be family - biological versus created (as previously discussed). There was this previous WM quote as well:

ComicBookResources also did a breakdown of the S4 trailer with lots of photo stills (screenshots)... 22 HIGHLIGHTS FROM THE "ARROW" SEASON 4 TRAILER Posted: 13 hours ago | Updated: 14 hours ago http://www.comicbookresources.com/article/22-highlights-from-the-arrow-season-4-trailer And here's my own breakdown from watching the S4 trailer: -- Oliver is jogging down a suburban street and heads onto the driveway of a nice suburban house, while his voiceover says "the Arrow's dead.. I couldn't be that person even if I wanted to be." He enters the kitchen, smiling, and sees Felicity sitting on the counter next to the stove, reading a cookbook titled "Cooking to Impress" and stirring something in a pan. -- Oliver & Felicity kiss in the house, while his voiceover says "and I don't wannabe." -- Billboard states that the city has been renamed Star City in honor of Dr. Raymond Palmer (1981-2015). -- Speedy rides behind BC on her motorcycle, exclaiming "This is so cool". -- Diggle appears in his new supersuit, which does have a visor over the face. -- Diggle says "Oliver walked away" to Thea and Laurel. -- Diggle, BC and Speedy fight bad guys. -- Laurel says "the Ghost is like nothing we've seen before, well trained, well armed. We need the Arrow." -- Felicity uncovers a large glass case containing Oliver's new GA suit and, smiling, shows it to him. -- Shots of Oliver & Felicity back with TA. -- Shot of Constantine talking on a cell phone. -- Quentin knocks out Diggle by hitting him on the back of his head. -- Tense confrontation between Nyssa and Malcolm/Ra's. -- Curtis Holt (aka Mr. Terrific) meets Felicity. -- Felicity shoots a machine gun in what looks like a shot-out lair. -- Oliver gets hit by a car. -- Star City police precinct, including Quentin, is attacked by armed men. -- Shots of DD opening a cabinet, walking into city offices where people are seated around a table, and putting his hand on soldier's chest, with voiceover saying "oh, you don't know who I am, do you?... I'm Damien Darhk." -- Panicking crowd at a public gathering start running, Quentin is holding a microphone and looks at BC, who's standing still among the crowd. -- Press conference with Jessica Danforth at podium with "Jessica Danforth for Mayor 2016" banner. Behind her are several people, including Lonnie Machin (aka Anarky). -- DD says "so you're all fretting about this city dying. I'm here on behalf of an organization that wants you to let it die." -- Quentin tells Oliver "this city started to go to crap the moment you put on that hood. You brought madness into all of our lives, and the monster you were inspired other monsters." -- DD tells Lonnie Machin "I respect order, discipline. All you represent is anarchy," -- Shot of Amanda Waller telling Oliver "you have certainly chosen an unusual hobby, Mr. Queen." -- Diggle tells Oliver "even when we are out there, we are not out there together." -- Voiceover of Felicity angrily saying "you both almost got killed tonight because you didn't have each other's backs" , then shot of suited-up Oliver & Diggle standing next to each other. -- Curtis and Felicity play around with a spherical metal ball (future T-Sphere?) -- Curtis and Felicity hiding under a table, with Curtis saying "what's happening now, it is not in my job description." -- Shots of Speedy fighting and acting a bit crazy, with voiceover saying "when people go in the Pit, they don't come out the same." -- Shot of Nyssa and Malcolm fighting. -- More TA fight scenes. -- Shot of corseted Sara rising up out of the LP, while others stand around the LP -- DD says to costumed Oliver "you can't be the Arrow because he died, so who are you?" Oliver replies "you're about to find out" as he draws an arrow out of his quiver. -- Jeremy Tell (aka Double Down) approaches elevator which has Curtis and Felicity in it. Felicity kicks Double Down back just as elevator doors close. Curtis asks "since when are you such a badass?" Felicity answers "since always."

I've only quoted the portions with major Arrow mentions, but you may want to read the entire article to get the context... Fall TV Roundtable: The Best Returning Shows, Most Exciting New Series & More By Araceli Aviles on Sep 4, 2015 http://www.tvovermind.com/lists/fall-tv-roundtable-best-returning-shows-exciting-new-series-263820 Hunter B: The Flash should do well. It was miles better than Arrow’s first season, and with Greg Berlanti helming things, it should come back even stronger. Outlander will be better, or at least as good as that first half season; it lost the thread the second part. A lot of people love The Knick (I, uh, do not), so maybe that’ll be the next fake-prestige show to pretend to be Mad Men (I really don’t like this show). * * * Jasef W: I don’t think that it’s in any danger at all of cancellation, but I do hope that Arrow steps up its game this season. I really enjoyed a lot of last season, but it definitely felt like a step back from what the show became during its sophomore run. That said, everything I’ve seen so far from the upcoming season has me incredibly excited about the show’s future. New Girl on FOX is one of the few comedies currently airing that I really enjoy, but I also think that it needs to see some improvement this year so that it stays in a safe position. * * * Jasef W: I really think that the DC Universe shows, Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, iZombie, Gotham, and Lucifer (WOW, that’s even more than I realized) will have an incredibly strong year with the fandom. We saw the beginnings of this in the past few months with the casting of Matt Ryan on Arrow because of the pleas of the Hellblazers, and I think that these fandoms will really give everyone else a run for their money. * * * Nick H: I’ve been a big fan of the ones I’ve seen so far. However, they really have to work with the show. Creatively. Barry Allen and Oliver Queen assisting each other out of sticky situations is something that feels true to the realm of both shows. Will the Sleepy Hollow/Bones be able to pull that off? Who knows. I will watch any and all of them with eager anticipation until one of them crashes and burns, which seems inevitable at this point. But if it helps the ratings of my favorite shows, I can live with it. * * * Tiffany C: I agree that there’s no debating the success of crossovers, but there is a point where they could become either overused or misused. Take the Flash/Arrow crossover for example. Both main characters only appeared briefly in each show’s final episodes. Oliver appeared toward the end of the Flash episode and Barry appeared for a couple of minutes before speeding off from the dungeon in Arrow. The creators of these two shows could’ve made the crossover a bit more interesting, like having Oliver help Barry fight a meta-human (aside from Reverse Flash), and Barry help Oliver fight the bad guys in Starling City instead of coming to Team Arrow’s rescue and then leave without so much as a goodbye. * * * 6) Finally, what is the number one show you will be watching live, come hell or highwater? Araceli: Arrow, hands down. Must learn to bring my enthusiasm from a squeal-induced 10 to a modestly rational 7 lest someone think my reactions are indicative of an emergency. Chris K: Arrow. It might not be the best show on TV, but it’s my favorite show that will be returning this fall. Plus, everything we’ve been told so far about Season 4 really makes me think that, as Blaise mentioned above, this could be Arrow‘s best season yet. * * * Jasef W: The Flash. That series became one of my favorite shows on television after the very first episode, and I am unbelievably excited to see where it goes from here. * * * Blaise H: Arrow and The Flash are two I will always be watching live, because my girlfriend is into those shows and we always watch together each week. As for me individually…. honestly, I think You’re The Worst is something I will be keeping up with consistently. I feel that it’s one of the most underrated shows out there and is a raunchier version of New Girl that executes similar themes just as well. I don’t really have a specific reason as to why I’d be more willing to keep up with that over everything else, but I guess it’s because I’m expecting another high quality season that I can rely on from week to week. Tiffany C: Legends of Tomorrow. I will be glued to the television when it finally airs.
