I also wondered about this. Nate was supposed to go to LA alone to "find" Damien until Audra and Amy invited themselves along. Then Amy wasn't going to confront Damien until after Nate contacted him, so it would have probably helped to have a photo. (and what mother doesn't have a ton of photos of her kid on her phone?) Also, wouldn't the PI have gotten a photo? Guess they are all just following the smell of oat milk vanilla lattes until they bump into him. And yet, he has to plop himself down on his throne in the main room of the house so he can bitch at anyone who sees his pain and tries to help him. Aren't there any bedrooms in this mausoleum? Wouldn't the Great Viktor Newman have a private nurse? Next time he gets shot, they should have him stuffed. Then he can rest in his Throne forever. He's my favorite of Men in Suits. (And you know I love my men in suits.) Line up him, Chance and Adam in suits and I die happy. I'm thinking Damien already knows the facts about his parentage and that's why he is so ticked off at Amy. Why he's even bothering with this 'come to GC for a job and oh, by the way, I'm your half bother' nonsense is beyond me. -

So Amy didn't show Nate any pictures of Damien? Especially since this is the first Nate has heard of an half-brother. How was he supposed to meet up with/recognize him in LA? -

In the same cup Claire used! (Loved how she delicately moved it away) Granted, he has no way of knowing about the tea, but maybe Mr. Sensitivity could take her out to CL for a beverage or a drink at the Jazz Hole. Anything to get out of the scene-of-the-crime house. Acting like the good wifey/sister-in-law by pushing Adam to go with Nick so Daddums could be so happy seeing them walk in together. What's the over/under on Adam and Tearful doing the horizontal mambo before Valentine's Day? -

Friday Rant: Really sick of the way law enforcement and the whole judicial system is being made to look so half-a$$ed. You'd think a city with three major corporations headquartered there would have at least two detectives show up to a crime scene. Hell, Lenny always had a partner. Dun dun. And speaking of crime scenes-have the unseen police force of GC even visited Sharon's Hallucination Hallway? Umm, maybe tested the water bottle? (I have given up on Chekovtessa's Water Bottle-that was a dumb and unnecessary detour in the whole Ian hearts Mariah story.) I have to assume that there are no sitting judges in GC. Viktor just gets a retired one to issue his (Viktor's) orders and it saves a lot of unnecessary investigation. Totally sick of the way the Newman's spin everything their way and getting a little nauseous at Chance for letting them slide. He should have taken them all in (except hospital bound Viktor) and questioned them separately. Don't get me started on the treatment of EMTs in this mess. They couldn't tell if Ian was dead or not?! That's pretty much their whole job! The only thing to make them look worse that could happen is the improperly closed back door opening and Ian sliding out of the ambulance. The ridiculousness of Michael telling Ian that the Newman Cop Friends made the letter from Ian disappear is only eclipsed by Ian asserting that if anything should happen to him, that letter will start an "investigation". Yeah, that's not happening. We don't need no stinking investigation if you already dead, Ian. Yougotthat? How can a group of people facing one guy with a gun stand around baiting him? There is also enough decorative kitsch in that room to throw something at him. Or even throw your phone at him, Viktor. (Hopefully the other players would rush Ian in his distraction.) If Michael had left instead of singing the Loyalty Oath to BetterDad, he could have beaned Ian from behind (or even pushed him). But no, we have to have Viktor be the hero....yet again. The whole 'this happened in one day' fails when you drag it out over a month. Feh. -

When Michael and Security Guy brought Ian back, they should have gone through the security checkpoints on the raunch. At that time they probably also should have tied Ian up and sent another couple of security guys along to the house. That they didn't leads me to believe that there are no other security guys and it's just a 'team' of one guy who doesn't know any martial arts and was a former bouncer at Chuckie Cheese. Viktor's arrogance knows no bounds. So, wasn't Mikey's dad Terrible Tom or such? Not really setting a high bar there, Michael. I hated that scene since it seems Mikey has forgotten the Brussel Sprouts Put-down and all the degradation that Viktor puts him through. I do love watching the actor when he's in the background, though. His low key facial expressions are priceless. Just for comparison purposes: I'm having a colonoscopy today and I prefer it to watching that dreck of an episode. Both involve the same substance. -

This is a rhetorical question, yes?😉 As far as I can tell, Viktor's security 'team' is one guy. There won't be an autopsy because Viktor has already given the cause of death and his decree is enough. End of story. I'd like to know, however, who keeps a handy vial of poison around the tack house for just such an occasion. Unless the 'sleeping pills' were in liquid form the coroner might just have a problem with how she managed to take enough pills to kill her that fast when a group of people were watching. Wasn't like she was holding a gun on them while she did it. Are they going to claim she was alone, making herself a cup of tea to dissolve the pills and they just stumbled upon her in the Tack house after she drank it? -

Lily moved into Devon's place when he and Abby moved to Chancellorville. Even better was the last husband she had (can't remember his name) but they were really sweet together. -

They must have paid extra to get it done by Sally in the time frame we've had for the last two weeks. Does Wayfair do same day delivery? Maybe it's tattooed on since it also survived her bath and washing her hair. -

Friday Rant: The timeline: We got several episodes of Sharon writhing around in her sparklies on the Designated GC Kidnapping Holding Area floor. It seemed like weeks went by. But. No one else changed their clothing during this time so it seems that everything happened in a couple of days. In that day (or couple of days), Ian and Jordan made a lot of repeat stops around town (motel, Crimson Lights, Society). Chance and Nick were running all over the place. Must be some very fast transportation in GC. And Viktor found enough time to deliver his view/ultimatums separately to each of Adam, Vicki, Nikki and his Crack Crew and possibly Michael. Which brings me to the question of why did we have to watch Sharon's gasping and moaning and godawful hallucinations for a couple of weeks and then have Claire come up with a plan, talk her reluctant co-conspirators into it and implement it in three episodes? The latter seems a bit rushed. The fricking water bottle: The fact that Tessa didn't consult a doctor to find out if she did indeed have an asthma attack was just plain stupid. But you'd think that she would have retraced her steps as to what she consumed, breathed or was exposed to. Mariah was savvy to what Ian was capable of and was suspicious of the convenient inhaler. Is that water bottle still there? I would be happy if Mariah figures it out, has the contents tested and finally convinces Tessa what a nasty person Ian is. Who really killed Heather? We were led to believe that Jordan did it-I even think she actually said she did it. So, were both Ian and Jordan at Daniel's place? That would make more sense as to how the body got moved. I was calling continuity when Jordan said Ian did it, but what do I know? Easy: Viktor is the Cowardly Lion, Nick the Tin Man (with a heart for Sharon), Victoria is Glinda (all that dress needs is a magic wand) and Nikki is the Scarecrow (with that hair and jacket, a shoo-in). -

I knew it. They are getting out of a murder/kidnapping/obstruction of justice rap because Jordie chose suicide, even though they are the ones who poisoned her tea and stood around not calling for help! GC Justice...dun dun. Gotta love it. -

Claire mentioned early on that if they told Viktor he would just take over and run the show his way. (paraphrasing) Which would be to have the Three Witches cowering in the Tack House with a single shot rifle while he and the mens go out and get the bad guys. I think they are part of her 'disguise' when she's roaming about town. One more dumb move, Claire, and you're out. And if Jordan has such finely honed homicidal/criminal skills, why isn't she suspicious? Although, maybe she is onto Claire, since she blamed the murder of Heather on Ian. Does it matter in GC? When you commit a crime in GC you are either murdered (for example, Jeremy Stark) or given Community Service (for example, you know who). -

Here are some posers: If the ailing doppelgänger that is taking Jordan's place dies, will the prison notify Claire as next of kin? This would open a whole new door for the Three Witches. Claire is very convincing as a wide-eyed naif and wouldn't need to spill that she just saw the corpse-in-question. She could show just enough remorse to be believable and even have the body shipped back for a proper burial. Slip Jordie's remains into that coffin and, voilà, the whole Jordie situation would be over and done with. Or they could just dig a hole deep enough and use plenty of lime. Does the back of Victor's motorcycle jacket have his colors? Like "Flaming A$$holes"? Is he going to give Nick and Adam jackets, too? What if Sharon is not drugged, but just terribly nearsighted? (although I think she should have been suspicious of all the salty snacks Jordan left her. Makes ya thirsty, hon.) -

that leaves in 10 minutes. Friday Rant: If I am correct in the plan I see growing with Claire, then she, ma and granny should just take Jordie out to the park and line up to beat her brains in with a rock. It worked so well with Diane.😏 And speaking of murder. Nikki and Vic both sound so appalled that Claire could even think of offing Jordan. Uh, both of them have participated in murder, Nikki in more than one. If Viktor finds out about Jordan will he incarcerate her again? I mean, like, did he build a vegetarian jail cell in the New Old Raunch II? God forbid that he participates in murder. Can't tell you how offended I am with the 'replacement' prisoner at the prison. Yeah, prisons are overcrowded, but I know for a fact that they keep pretty good track of their wards. (read a lot of reports from San Quentin back in the day) Add to this that the reason (per Ian) that the doppelgänger agreed to this was because she is dying of some disease. Pretty sure the medical records would have outed her by now. And unless Ian smuggled this sick person in under his robes, the head count would be way off. How Daniel (and Summer) can be so devoted to their mommy is beyond me. She lets them talk/advise her and then she just goes on with her merry plans as if she never heard them. And then! She shouts to the world how much she loves her kids and that Family is all she cares about. Oh, and that she has changed from the self-serving person she was always has been. #don'tkidmeI'mnotthatold Doesn't anyone actually do anything in this town? (That includes real work at all their Legacy Corporations and taking care of their kids.) Seems our principle characters just sit around the bars, eateries and coffee shop to discuss ad nauseum what they want/are going to do. I'm all for brainstorming a plan, but at some point you have to get off your ass and do it. Some of us watch this farce everyday and are tired of the repetitive exposition. Last. Keep on hammering that link, Sharon. It should only be a few years before it breaks. -

I noticed she had her nails done, too. Where, oh where do she and Ian get the money to afford the crappy disguises, seedy motel room, the tea with agave and triple espressos, bottles of booze and steak dinners? Did they both hide their assets in offshore accounts before their incarcerations? Can't believe that Ian's prison chaplain pay is that much. I'm not buying into this because Jordan is so pissed with Ian about him not doing her "cross" after she did his "criss". She wouldn't be worried about her plan. -

My money is on Jordan having spiked the water she left for Sharon. Of course, if it's PCP, Sharon might just have the strength to break her chains, especially if she gets her hands on that pipe. Yes. How is he going to practice these coping skills if everytime something OCDs him, the parents come in to the rescue? Let him spend time away from hovering mommy and tackle coping with daddums. By himself. This is just speculation, not a spoiler, but wouldn't it be fun if Jordan takes Claire to Sharon to show off her murderous skilz? Then Claire can use (Chekov's) pipe to put Jordan (and us) out of her/our misery. -

Amen to the amen. And guess he doesn't know that Summer is not Harrison's real mommy. Harrison didn't get his smarts from Summer, Chancey. That whole sex scene was Emmy worthy. It's the most heat I've seen in any love scene on this show. The participants actually moved! And I think they had more fun than Schmoopy and Claire. I think Connor has a propensity to bury the lead when he tells his family about his OCD's. Or they are not giving him enough time to finish his story. He was incarcerated treated in-house for his problem and he has the 'tools' to cope, as he himself has said repeatedly. If they want to child-proof the house every time he gets a hair up his tush they better have a contractor on retainer and on call 24/7. -

It's sick the way law enforcement and attorneys share every bit of information with the general public the minute they get it. No wonder nothing goes to court on this show. Also don't want Chancesome and Blubbergirl to get back together. -

Friday Rant: Why do the writers have to take the scenic route with these stories? There's Nateynatenate setting up fake job offers and meetings that may or may not result in Damien joining the company when it would be easier to tell him the truth and then offer him a job. Do Nate and Devon really think their new found family member will trust them with anything after this cloak and dagger bullsh*t? (although, I'm with Joi on this and hope he and Amy are running a con.) Can we tone it down on the Family Is Everything crap? It's no way to run a corporation. Just because you are related does not mean you are the best person for the job. (See: Billy.) And if I never hear the word Legacy again, I die happy. And then there's Chekov's water bottle. It's just sitting there, waiting to be sipped by Tessa again, and then she will have another "asthma" attack. Good thing Ian is lurking outside with his inhaler. Is it just me or was the dialogue really heavy on exposition this week? Not that it wasn't useful, since most of us don't know/understand/care why Ian and Jordan are in cahoots. Still confused as to Ian. Is he after Newmans, Newman adjacent (Sharon) or Mariah? And what was Jordan doing for the last 20 years that she has honed her murder skills? Are there on-line classes for that? Phillus' rubber ducky lips get bigger every episode and they are so glossed that I'm expecting them to slide off her face. -

So how old is Christian really that he needs a nap? Is he two years old and worked off a bag of candy? And why would he be so fatigued with everything that's going on? Does he even know or care about Sharon? His dad hasn't been home in forever, so unless Nick has been keeping him in the car while he stands around Sharon's and the Raunch, I don't think the kid has any clue (or interest) in what's going on with Sharon. Maybe he got fatigued by association. -

I'm still trying to wrap my head around what kind of publishing NE does. Cole said working in literature was his dream job. (paraphrasing) I think the major publishing houses have that market cornered. What 'literature' is he talking about? Also got a good laugh when Victoria said Nosferatu didn't hire on nepotism-he only hires the people who are good for the job. Reeeaaallly.... -

Slugging down the booze will do that to you. Well, the time for that boat to sail is long gone, now that Phillus has declared her intentions to not publicly sling blame/hate at Sharon. If Sharon dies and all eyes are on Red, she will be exonerated by her children proclaiming her innocence. They know she wouldn't hurt Sharon. That's how the legal system works in GC. (See: Sharon and her cheer team.) I noticed that, too. Then I tried to remember, didn't Phillus kill Jeremy with scissors in that room? Guess housekeeping didn't replace the Courtesy Scissors.
