Whoo boy, we've been on a NYE timeline for a month and a half-so we should be about five or six days after New Years. How the f*ck did we get to VDay this fast? 🎶Let's do the Time Warp, again..🎶

Yes, that's what we have been led to believe, but I'm on the side of innocent until proven guilty. So far we have his name, Damian (and what did you expect when you named him that, Amy?), the fact that he has two companies that he kept his ownership secret about, [note: secret to people who lied to him) and doesn't explain anything about himself to those people who lied to him. He has an henchman who doesn't seem too scary. Until I see a weapon, I'm counting Holden as friend. And just because my mind remembered it: what is the Count of Monte Cristo tie-in? Does that make him an evil-doer?

Let's see, scissors, (ambulance) lighter fluid, an octopus, disguises for impersonating servers at GCAC, a bucket of lip gloss, manual on how to insinuate yourself into any relationship, a change of torso-baring clothing and her Buy-10-Get-One-Free card from Crimson Lights.

Exactly. I might be able to understand his anger better if we knew what it was about. As it stands, it's black hat vs white hat. Damian is the bad guy and Nate is the good guy solely based on the present circumstances. If we had a little more information on Amy's and Damian's past, it might help us to understand the inevitable reconciliation that we are heading for. I'm being made to hate a guy and I don't even know why!

I'm not liking the dropped storylines, (for example, Tessa's water bottle tampering). Liking even less that we have no follow up on Ian and his eyes wide open in the ambulance. Was that just a rigor mortis reaction? His last lonely gasp before succumbing? What the hell, Show? Is he just going to lie in the morgue or is there a story in all this? *There's a possibility I may have dozed off during the show, so if something happened of interest, Preverts, help me out here.* Could this be the start of another Sharon and Her Endless List of Medical Problems stories? Are we working up to her being saved by Nick? Will anyone notice that she seems exactly the same as she was when she was actually on PCP? Is it the writing or the actor?

So did Viktor make this much of a fuss when Summer and Kyle first got together? And he's ok with Summer with Kyle even tho she is not the mother of Harrison (his great grandchild)? What's so fcuking special about Claire?

I was predicting a Who's The Daddy? for Audra with Damian (before we knew there were two of them.) Now I'm thinking FakeDamian for the win. We haven't had a WTD story in a long time. Audra and Claire are the only ones who have no children but I don't see Claire in that situation since she's honed in on Kyle. Besides, I don't thinK Victor wants anymore grandchildren and especially, no great grandchildren. Hell, Dom hasn't even got his pony/car yet. Holden has already shown a lusty interest in Audra. Bring on the cough syrup!

Rant Friday? Already? I don't know what Show is trying to present Nikki as, but to me she looks like Lisa Simpson when they do an episode of what she is in the future: highpowered CEO with the swept back pointy hair. I almost could tolerate the Damien Story if we knew why he was estranged from his mother. As soon as he found that there was no job and it was about his mother, he and FakeD should have been on the next flight to LA. Phyllus must have her eyes turned backward in her head because she can only see what she wants. Making Daniel a must-have or she won't join Billy's Media Circus is ridiculous. Also ridiculous that Billy thinks Phyl has so much to bring to the table since she probably is not up to speed on any of the latest computer innovations. Viktor holding court in the Raunch Mausoleum so that everyone has to pass by/acknowledge him is also ridiculous. Especially when he snaps at them to not coddle him even though he is in obvious pain. I'm giving this a little sympathy, tho, in case this is Eric Braden's exit reel. The Amy/Damien/Nate story is a long, boring saga. Now we're getting the Redecoration of the Abbot Manse. Hope it is not as dragged out, too. What the hell drama does buying new furniture bring to Love in The Afternoon? Stop making Jack the dumbest CEO on earth. Giving money to Billy? No amount of family loyalty can justify that. Oops! Almost forgot my biggest rant. Show: you can not cram a month's worth of exposition, kidnappings, poisonings, more exposition, trips to the eateries and drinkeries of GC repeatedly throughout a two day timeline. Physics won't allow it.

Well, no. I picture Billy as consolidating his ideas (all of them) into an instructional video (twelve disc set available for $49.95 if you order now!) and selling them to other no-starters so they will have the words to tell everyone how they are going 'to the top' and 'making the best fill in the blank company in the world'. You can see the infomercial on late night cable.

I'm with Diane on this one. Granted, he wouldn't have been able to read about it since Viktor/Adam tramped all over media's Free Speech rights, but Jack didn't have to run over to the NewOldRaunch to see if Nikki was ok. He could have called. (I'm assuming Nikki has her own phone that is not monitored by Vlad.) Like getting rid of those pointy hat statues with the crystal balls? I'm in. Is everyone taking the entire New Year's week off from the office?

Well, now we know who inherited the Viktor Controls Your Family genes. Maybe there's a leftover throne at the NewOldRaunch.

She's marking her territory. Same thing with plopping down on the couch and helping herself to someone else's lunch. I don't know if Sally knows about Billy and Phyl's history (since she only dated Newmans) but that's bound to come up. Run, Sally, run. Wait and see, Phyl will show up in Paris if Sally and Billy go. Apparently running large companies is not as labor intensive as I thought. Nate doesn't ever seem to be at the office.* Now Damien, who owns two companies is wasting his time trying to find out what his mother is up to, even tho he wants nothing to do with her. *I could understand his off time if we are still on the timeline we had all through January and it's only two days after New Year's Day.

This is the same coffee house that Sharon owns, right? Hmmmm....

I also wondered about this. Nate was supposed to go to LA alone to "find" Damien until Audra and Amy invited themselves along. Then Amy wasn't going to confront Damien until after Nate contacted him, so it would have probably helped to have a photo. (and what mother doesn't have a ton of photos of her kid on her phone?) Also, wouldn't the PI have gotten a photo? Guess they are all just following the smell of oat milk vanilla lattes until they bump into him. And yet, he has to plop himself down on his throne in the main room of the house so he can bitch at anyone who sees his pain and tries to help him. Aren't there any bedrooms in this mausoleum? Wouldn't the Great Viktor Newman have a private nurse? Next time he gets shot, they should have him stuffed. Then he can rest in his Throne forever. He's my favorite of Men in Suits. (And you know I love my men in suits.) Line up him, Chance and Adam in suits and I die happy. I'm thinking Damien already knows the facts about his parentage and that's why he is so ticked off at Amy. Why he's even bothering with this 'come to GC for a job and oh, by the way, I'm your half bother' nonsense is beyond me.

So Amy didn't show Nate any pictures of Damien? Especially since this is the first Nate has heard of an half-brother. How was he supposed to meet up with/recognize him in LA?

(Loved how she delicately moved it away) Granted, he has no way of knowing about the tea, but maybe Mr. Sensitivity could take her out to CL for a beverage or a drink at the Jazz Hole. Anything to get out of the scene-of-the-crime house. Acting like the good wifey/sister-in-law by pushing Adam to go with Nick so Daddums could be so happy seeing them walk in together. What's the over/under on Adam and Tearful doing the horizontal mambo before Valentine's Day?

Friday Rant: Really sick of the way law enforcement and the whole judicial system is being made to look so half-a$$ed. You'd think a city with three major corporations headquartered there would have at least two detectives show up to a crime scene. Hell, Lenny always had a partner. Dun dun. And speaking of crime scenes-have the unseen police force of GC even visited Sharon's Hallucination Hallway? Umm, maybe tested the water bottle? (I have given up on Chekovtessa's Water Bottle-that was a dumb and unnecessary detour in the whole Ian hearts Mariah story.) I have to assume that there are no sitting judges in GC. Viktor just gets a retired one to issue his (Viktor's) orders and it saves a lot of unnecessary investigation. Totally sick of the way the Newman's spin everything their way and getting a little nauseous at Chance for letting them slide. He should have taken them all in (except hospital bound Viktor) and questioned them separately. Don't get me started on the treatment of EMTs in this mess. They couldn't tell if Ian was dead or not?! That's pretty much their whole job! The only thing to make them look worse that could happen is the improperly closed back door opening and Ian sliding out of the ambulance. The ridiculousness of Michael telling Ian that the Newman Cop Friends made the letter from Ian disappear is only eclipsed by Ian asserting that if anything should happen to him, that letter will start an "investigation". Yeah, that's not happening. We don't need no stinking investigation if you already dead, Ian. Yougotthat? How can a group of people facing one guy with a gun stand around baiting him? There is also enough decorative kitsch in that room to throw something at him. Or even throw your phone at him, Viktor. (Hopefully the other players would rush Ian in his distraction.) If Michael had left instead of singing the Loyalty Oath to BetterDad, he could have beaned Ian from behind (or even pushed him). But no, we have to have Viktor be the hero....yet again. The whole 'this happened in one day' fails when you drag it out over a month. Feh.

oh, for fcuk's sake...

When Michael and Security Guy brought Ian back, they should have gone through the security checkpoints on the raunch. At that time they probably also should have tied Ian up and sent another couple of security guys along to the house. That they didn't leads me to believe that there are no other security guys and it's just a 'team' of one guy who doesn't know any martial arts and was a former bouncer at Chuckie Cheese. Viktor's arrogance knows no bounds. So, wasn't Mikey's dad Terrible Tom or such? Not really setting a high bar there, Michael. I hated that scene since it seems Mikey has forgotten the Brussel Sprouts Put-down and all the degradation that Viktor puts him through. I do love watching the actor when he's in the background, though. His low key facial expressions are priceless. Just for comparison purposes: I'm having a colonoscopy today and I prefer it to watching that dreck of an episode. Both involve the same substance.

This is a rhetorical question, yes?😉 As far as I can tell, Viktor's security 'team' is one guy. There won't be an autopsy because Viktor has already given the cause of death and his decree is enough. End of story. I'd like to know, however, who keeps a handy vial of poison around the tack house for just such an occasion. Unless the 'sleeping pills' were in liquid form the coroner might just have a problem with how she managed to take enough pills to kill her that fast when a group of people were watching. Wasn't like she was holding a gun on them while she did it. Are they going to claim she was alone, making herself a cup of tea to dissolve the pills and they just stumbled upon her in the Tack house after she drank it?

Lily moved into Devon's place when he and Abby moved to Chancellorville. Even better was the last husband she had (can't remember his name) but they were really sweet together.

Which I must have😉 Hope it was before NYE. Otherwise that was the fastest decoration job ever.

They must have paid extra to get it done by Sally in the time frame we've had for the last two weeks. Does Wayfair do same day delivery? Maybe it's tattooed on since it also survived her bath and washing her hair.

Friday Rant: The timeline: We got several episodes of Sharon writhing around in her sparklies on the Designated GC Kidnapping Holding Area floor. It seemed like weeks went by. But. No one else changed their clothing during this time so it seems that everything happened in a couple of days. In that day (or couple of days), Ian and Jordan made a lot of repeat stops around town (motel, Crimson Lights, Society). Chance and Nick were running all over the place. Must be some very fast transportation in GC. And Viktor found enough time to deliver his view/ultimatums separately to each of Adam, Vicki, Nikki and his Crack Crew and possibly Michael. Which brings me to the question of why did we have to watch Sharon's gasping and moaning and godawful hallucinations for a couple of weeks and then have Claire come up with a plan, talk her reluctant co-conspirators into it and implement it in three episodes? The latter seems a bit rushed. The fricking water bottle: The fact that Tessa didn't consult a doctor to find out if she did indeed have an asthma attack was just plain stupid. But you'd think that she would have retraced her steps as to what she consumed, breathed or was exposed to. Mariah was savvy to what Ian was capable of and was suspicious of the convenient inhaler. Is that water bottle still there? I would be happy if Mariah figures it out, has the contents tested and finally convinces Tessa what a nasty person Ian is. Who really killed Heather? We were led to believe that Jordan did it-I even think she actually said she did it. So, were both Ian and Jordan at Daniel's place? That would make more sense as to how the body got moved. I was calling continuity when Jordan said Ian did it, but what do I know? Easy: Viktor is the Cowardly Lion, Nick the Tin Man (with a heart for Sharon), Victoria is Glinda (all that dress needs is a magic wand) and Nikki is the Scarecrow (with that hair and jacket, a shoo-in).
