  1. Wow, in the middle of her heavy conversation with Billy, apparently Phyllis stepped away and got her hair flatironed and lightened. Okay. According to the CBS primetime show, "FBI: International," federal agents can arrest an American citizen on foreign soil. 🤠 Chance just needs to coordinate the Alan/Martin situation with people other than the basic French gendarmes. (And he better hurry because FBI: I has been cancelled.) Please tell me the next big GC society wedding isn't going to be Chelsea & Adam's. Yawn. Billy, you need to listen to Phyllis. Using Aristotle Dumas to get Chancellor back has "huge mistake" written all over it. (Gah, I'm actually giving Phyllis credit for good advice. What is this world??!?!!) However. Phyllis, there are times when it's best not to have secret info which, in the future, could become problematic for you to know. Whatever fool's folly Billy is up to wrt Chancellor might be one of those occasions.*** Chelsea receiving romantic advice from Nikki and Vikki. Given their own bad relationship histories, I'd've expected Chelsea to tell those two yentas to stay in their lanes. Nicely, of course. 😈 Sally's hair. IMO it was like she had two limp antennas hanging down the sides of her face. Otherwise, I liked her sleek chignon. ***Sally, see above. When Billy tells you, "Trust me, I know what I'm doing," you need to start running in the opposite direction at a hypersonic speed. Man, if 1337 h4x0r Phyllis can't even find out who Aristotle Dumas is, he must be extra good at staying hidden.
  2. Diane, trying to pet a rabid vampire bat is usually not a good idea. You probably should've steered clear of Phyllis. And Phyllis, mending fences with Diane? Sure, that'll happen. On Neptune. Billy, you can see how messed up Phyllis is. Try being helpful for a change and 5150 her. #notevenkidding Wow, how old is Connor now, 37? Not only was his voice deeper, his Adam's apple was as big as...wait for it...Adam's! 🤡🤡🤡 Chelsea and Adam, you can never break up again for fear of triggering the return of Connor's OCD. Bad move, continuing to give him so much power over your relationship. I liked Billy's short trench. It was kind of like a fancier car coat. Poor Traci. At least she's facing her horrid doubts about Alan/Martin instead of keeping her head in the clouds. "Aristotle Dumas is the key to Chancellor." Sure, Billy, as long as he isn't planning to snatch Chancellor for himself. You're bait, not an investment. Contact Chance? Pshht. Jack, you and Traci need to call the FBI. A) since Alan used a cell phone, the crime technically crossed state lines; and, B) Chance is, um, less than effective as a detective.
  3. Me too but think how bothered Summer would be. She couldn't use Harrison as a weapon anymore because Claire would be a bio baby mama versus an adoptive baby mama. I think Claire and Summer would have to go on the Jerry Springer Show and duke it out in a kiddie pool filled with mud while Kyle stood by looking sheepish.
  4. Maybe he gets flashbacks of WWII when he tries to speak French. 😉
  5. There is a dining alcove but no one seems to use it. Yeah, it's been next-level WTFery. My theory is that the arrival of Damian and Holden was JG/Y&R's knee-jerk response to Beyond the Gates, and it was originally just going to involve the Winters family et al. Then the Aristotle Dumas thing was supposed to elevate things to a mystery based on a classic literary reference. When that fell flat, now they've apparently handed the storyline over to Victor and Billy as another chapter in their endless battles. Ugh.
  6. Sure was. All I could think of was all the crumbs in the bed and which orifices they'd end up in. The GCAC housekeeping staff must loathe Kyle. Nah, I like Sally & Billy as a couple. He's problematic but they look good together IMO. And I don't see how sending Sally back to L.A. would help B&B. She'd go back to being basically a day player because B&B is all about Steffy and Hope, forever.
  7. Glory be to the soap opera saints, Summer finally changed out of her blue slip dress. But Sharon in a dark velvet jacket? Kind of the wrong season for such heavy fabric, even in the Upper Midwest. Kyle is such a sleezeball. Only he could expect the woman he's boinking to be grateful for being allowed to have some drawer space in his hotel room. Luckily for him Claire doesn't really know better. Phyllis, you're a role model?? HA HA HA HA HA!!! Maybe for unrepentant psychos who need fresh ideas on how to be nucking futz. Look at those two nepo babies snickering about playing hooky from their nepo baby jobs. Ehhh. Jill betraying her son to his biggest enemy by selling his legacy out from under him was not laudable, Jack. AFAIC you are not a great or loyal big brother. I'm glad Billy has been shining you on. 👿 Sharon, Alan is something but a "lucky charm" ain't it, hon. Not unless you wanted to get kidnapped and poisoned, AGAIN, with a side order of your worst enemy. Looks like Sharon inadvertently helped Traci put 2 and 2 together about the alerts she saw on Alan/Martin's phone. All Traci went to the coffeehouse for was some muffins and she ended up getting hella suspicious about her new fiancée. Thanks, Sharon! 🤡 Okay, Jackie, Traci needs your clear-headed thinking on Alan/Martin ASAP. Don't let her down.
  8. Billy knows all about Aristotle Dumas, enough to be sending Dumas' call to voicemail, anyway. But Sally's not in the dark either, due to her L.A. history with the Forresters and Spencers. Hmm. Victor again using Neil's name in vain to manipulate Lily. Grrr. OMG, Sharon! Phyllis is falling apart right in front of you. You both need to talk this stuff out with a therapist who has the objectivity you can't have. Wait a minute, didn't Michael tell Victor yesterday that per his background investigation, Dumas wasn't interested in Winters Inc.? Today Victor was stoking Lily's fears about Dumas when he knows better. This guy. Lol, Sharon was way offended at the thought Christine had perhaps been a bigger longtime enemy to Phyllis than Sharon. Sharon and Phyllis moved from the coffeehouse, to the overlook park, and then to Society, only to keep saying the same things over and over. Good grief. But Lily, Victor can't be trusted either! Apparently for you, favor goes to the devil you know versus the one you just met. And now you've hooked Devon in on the Dumas worry too. Giiirrrlll. Okay, so Billy is indeed in cahoots with Dumas. Kinda shady, no? At least Sally won't be shocked when she eventually finds out Billy lied to her face.
  9. FWIW, I thought Ava wore it better. How sad that the music class had to become an after-school program. Would the suits from the district actually do the audit themselves or send their worker bees to handle it? Coleman out! Now everyone's lining up for Ava's not-so-secret bathroom. Isn't that worse than using the regular ones?
  10. Oh boy, guess we'll be seeing the Sharon and Phyllis hostage flashbacks in B&W for the next elebenty months. Look Billy, you better not be trying to make Sally feel insecure about Phyllis. Sally is a showcase; Phyllis is a runner-up prize. 😡 Daniel having a deep conversation with Sharon about her being held captive with his mommy seemed pointless to me. Every single time he talks to Sharon he brings up the Heather murder. All roads don't lead back to Heather's death, Daniel. Phyllis admitted her whole purpose in life as an adult has been to make trouble for Sharon. Ehh, that wasn't true when Phyllis was with Jack. Whatever, Nick knows the ish really started when he couldn't handle his grief over Cassie's death so he cheated on Sharon with Phyllis. But today he just stood there with his thumb up his hiney listening to Phyllis twist the truth to garner sympathy. Yeesh. How much do I hate Victor's involvement in the Aristotle Dumas storyline? THIS MUCH!! The talk between him and Michael today made it sound like Dumas won't be interacting much with the Winters crew at all. Sigh. Tessa was still being extra friendly toward Daniel for no apparent reason, and he was matching her energy. Hmm. Meanwhile, re Tessa's new hair color: yikes. IMO she's a bit past her prime to be trying to imitate the current pop princess look. Wait, what, Billy's got an unmasked phone call from Aristole Dumas? Is Dumas after Billy, or is he who Billy's been conspiring with to snatch Chancellor back from the Newmans? Wow. Did not see that coming.
  11. I was being somewhere between hyperbolic and sarcastic about Dick Wolf. And I wasn't suggesting there'd be jurisdictional issues on where the case should be prosecuted. What I do think is that this episode could influence the potential jury pool, even with certain key differences between the fictional case and the IRL one. L&O could've waited to present this episode next season so I wonder what the rush was.
  12. Well, that actor was no Luigi. He looked to me like a preppy naif, not an unfortunate sex symbol. /shallow Even with a black-out ending before the fictional jury's verdict was read, I think Dick Wolf pretty much forced the IRL prosecution to seek to move the Luigi case out of Manhattan. Wolf maybe should've waited until next season for this episode. This episode seemed a bit more ripped from reddit than from the headlines. I recognized many of the same reddit comments being made by various characters in the episode. Yeah, I've noticed that and it's my theory it happens because more online news articles are being written by AI. Maybe the news providers can pay less in salary costs but AI isn't free or cheap.
  13. Audra's adjacent to several billionaires: Devon, Tucker, and probably this new guy Aristotle Dumas (via Damian and Holden). That's one reason why it's dumb to me how Audra still can't find a job.
  14. The wedding? Yes, including some mystery woman who was standing in the foyer while the ceremony happened. It was never explained who she was and I don't think she's ever been seen again. Abby & Devon acting grateful to have their wedding at the new old ranch house? Yes, there were several moments of them giving Victor tongue baths in return for his commandeering their nuptials.
  15. Victor kind of has a pattern of being dismissive of Abby but I was surprised Devon put up with that crap. He's also a billionaire and could well afford to give his fiancée the wedding of her dreams. And then Abby and Devon had to act ever so grateful Victor was going to let them get married in the new old ranch house's living room. Big whoop. AFAIC they might as well have had the ceremony in the GCAC parking garage.
  16. I dunno, I think like many potentially derogatory terms it depends on who's using it. Recognized members of the group being referred to can usually use it with/toward each other. However, outsiders might want to exercise caution. (Fellow USians, maybe not with the "Canuck" right now unless you're discussing pro hockey. 😉)
  17. Aw, why besmirch pterodactyls like that? I got no problem with pterodactyls. When comparing a certain someone to monsters I prefer to go with ones of alien origin:
  18. Now it rakes in billions for the online betting industry. I think they pretty much own most of pro sports and some collegiate sports.
  19. This was one of the worst episodes of television I have ever seen. They actually had Athena modeling evening gowns. I can't imagine how it could've helped Doctor Odyssey's ratings.
  20. Didn't Athena already have a storyline on a cruise ship? I don't see why they're doing this again unless ABC thinks her 9-1-1 fans will give Doctor Odyssey some extra ratings points.
  21. Jack said, "Brides blush, fiancées glow." Okay. Flying to Paris tonight to marry Alan/Martin, Traci? What's the hurry, is he pregnant? Nick, the reason Sharon hasn't seen Noah in months is because he's a slacker. Maybe if his mommy gets kidnapped 47 more times he'll finally come back to GC. Traci listed the many husbands she's had over the years. Yeah, all those Abbotts are messy, lol. What's this new thing with Chelsea and Adam cooking for each other? Anyways, IMO the cake Chelsea served to Adam looked vile. Too dry yet oily. 🤮 Poor Sharon. Nick basically told her he'd be willing to play her rescuing hero--as needed--but he is not trying to be with her romantically again. Kyle. You almost wrecked Traci's joy by suggesting a connection between the kidnapping and the alerts she saw on Alan/Martin's phone. Bad nephew! 😉 Was anyone anxious to see another try-hard boudoir scene between Chelsea and Adam? Bueller? Geez, Summer seems to be turning into a professional c-blocker. First Claire and Kyle, next Sharon and Nick. Hey Chance, come get your girl ex. CBS Sports is preempting our stories Thursday and Friday. Boo, hiss!
  22. I kept confusing Maggie's boyfriend with the serial killer who was in prison. She has a type, ha ha.
  23. Yep, no Newman blood, plus Harrison has Abbott blood (allegedly*). In Victor's book that's a double whammy. *Allegedly because I still suspect Harrison is actually Theo Vanderway's kid. Tara and the med tech who took the blood samples for the DNA test looked to be up to something underhanded. I think Tara knew it would be better for her in the long run if Harrison was an Abbott, so she paid the med tech to alter the DNA test results.
  24. What day was this in GC? Summer was in the same blue slip dress but everyone else had on a different outfit from the last time we saw them. And once more, Claire walked up on Summer and Kyle having a moment. Love the way Claire not only acts unbothered by Summer using Harrison to distract Kyle, she compliments Summer on being such a good mother. Summer has no idea how much out of her league she is when it comes to Claire. AFAIC Holden needs to stop making lame excuses to Audra for why he still hasn't left town. He and Damien probably could've rented a car and driven back to L.A. by now. Lol, how many layers of clothing did Damian have on today? He must have a separate suite at the GCAC just for his clothes. 😼 Claire told Kyle she had a hair appointment right after work. The goofy hairdo jokes will write themselves, tee hee. Guess who was straight up reading their lines off the props again? Something felt iffy to me about Nate dropping everything to go to Chicago with Damian. Holden didn't seem too surprised when he watched Audra get the call from Nate. Hmm. GMAFB, Holden. Chips and salsa and margaritas are not an iconic L.A. meal. The entire southwestern part of the US is pointing and laughing at you. Lily being snarky after noticing Audra and Holden seated together in Society. Yawn. I think she's pretty much been reduced to serving as an exposition device. Hey, Kyle, if Victor wants you to be with Summer because you share a child with her, maybe you should have a kid with Claire. I mean, an infant would have priority over a kindergartener, right? 🙄
  25. Is today the first time Hayley Erin (Claire) has appeared in the Y&R opening credits, or is it just the first time I noticed her there?
