Yeah, if shitty storytelling and crap planning weren't par for the course for this show I'd think more of it. But it is, so I'm hesitant to think that Emily speaking out against MG affected her storyline. Also because anyone in the chain of command would have to be absolutely out of their freaking mind to allow her storyline to be reduced after a comment that got a ton of attention at a time during which Berlanti and Co. were being scrutinized for the goings on with AK. If anything I'd think they'd overcorrect to avoid the possibility of people thinking she was punished for what she wrote.

If you believe Canadagraphs, she went through contract negotiations earlier this year. And I certainly hope if she suffered professionally from higher-ups on the show because she spoke out against MG that she has some lawyers on it! I think it's much more likely that whatever storyline that was planned for Felicity was cut because it wasn't tightly tied into any main plot, so it was easy to ditch because Marc and Wendy aren't just crap writers, but also crap planners.

Well, there IS an Oliver and a Felicity in the books, LOL (coincidence I’m guessing, considering when the first book was published, but who knows).

I think makeup probably put something over it so she didn't have to take it out for filming - that's what it looks like to me, at least.

Yeah - she looks like Star City Felicity, so I figured she was back too (and lookin' cute). If Katie is dressed as Laurel and is going around town as DA or Mayor with that nose ring I will lol - Star City gonna Star City, I guess.

William finally gets settled into Hope Springs middle school, where he signed up for Drama in order to force himself to be social. He inexplicably lands the lead in the school play opposite the prettiest girl in whatever grade he's in because who knows, who he has a HUGE crush on. During rehearsals, right before their first attempt at a very chaste peck on the lips for the G-rated romantic side-plot of said play, 3D sets off a cleverly planted incendiary device that he printed himself, throwing rehearsals into chaos. Oliver gets out of prison for reasons I haven't though up yet because of this theater explosion, and William is forced to leave Hope Springs and move back to Star City before the play, before having his first kiss with the pretty girl in whatever grade he's in. PRETEEN ANGST ANGST ANGST At some point he'll run away back to Hope Springs, because he really really hates his life-ruining dad. MORE ANGST /fin

I get the sense just based on social media (which could totally be wrong) that Stephen is heavily invested in having as much fun as possible as often as possible, and has some connections between his C-level fame and his wife having a stake in some restaurants/having contacts with liquor companies, etc. and between all the parties they host and other stuff they do that once you get invited you kinda want to keep getting invited.

Girl, me too. It gave me that butterflies in the stomach, twitterpated feeling I hope for in every romance I watch/read. A+ to the screenwriter (and Jenny Han too, if that scene was in the book).

Didn't she post an instastory about how her best memory was something that happened recently with Stephen, his wife and some other people? Made me LOL.

Cool - Stephen can give her some tips on how to deal with Twitter drama and I'm sure everything will go much more smoothly next time she says something stupid!

I've watched it, like, 5 times already maybe? Maybe more? IDK. What I do know is that "There's no one like you, Covey" gets me right in the good spot. This and Crazy Rich Asians makes me want to sit down and write fun, romantic beach reads non-stop. Dreamy sigh.

I LOVED Crazy Rich Asians - I saw it yesterday morning and went back and saw it again today. My only complaint was about As for Netflix romcoms, I'm going to watch TATBILB tonight - so far the only other one I've liked is Set It Up (and saying I liked it is putting it mildly). I have a friend who loved Kissing Booth, and it surprised me - I watched it and thought it was kinda awful.

I love that she praises Marc for being a feminist, but then contradicts how great he was in the very next sentence by implying that people felt comfortable making gross jokes under his leadership, but don't under Beth's.

I don't understand the point of the beard? It's not even canon compliant (thankfully). He can shave his hair down to nothing but can't take care of business on his face? Unless he's hiding a file in there or something, it makes no sense.

Hopefully the title indicates Diaz is shuffling off this mortal coil and being sent to that giant 3-D printer in the sky

I'm hoping that she watched them in the shadowsthinking, these idiots, all the while gracefully maneuvering herself to take their jobs once they were shitcanned. Shhh, let me have it until my dreams are shattered on October whatever day the premiere is.

Oliver makes the same mistakes over and over again because Marc and Wendy are hacks without the imagination required to create drama without assassinating the character of the person who is the source of the drama/having said character just flat-out being stupid. They didn't just do this to Oliver, although as the main character, they frequently fell back on the same storylines with him. Here's hoping that Beth has a different way of operating, and that her bosses didn't rub off on her even a little bit.
