  1. I mean, she obviously wouldn’t want to spoil that Laurel was faking (if she is faking, and they didn’t just magically make her a lawyer and hope no one would notice), so maybe it is an issue at some point? I don’t know. But the tale of two Laurels hashtag does make me think that she’s trying to decide if she’s E-1 Laurel or not. Which...yuck. That should’ve been an issue for other people to struggle with (although 2 years after she showed up probably not anymore). But E-2 Laurel should never be struggling with that. No matter what she was like on E-2 pre becoming a villain, she wasn’t E-1 Laurel. Hopefully this tweet amounts to nothing in-show.
  2. Quentin thinking she could read some law books and go off and pretend to be a lawyer because she looked like Laurel was one of the more idiotic things he did last season, but this tweet from Tonya Kong - that didn't make a whole lot of sense at the time - doesn't give me great feelings about L2's lack of law schooling being an issue at all. Dinah and Rene could've planted some seeds about this in the premiere when they were talking about her, but no one mentioned that she's pretending to be a lawyer, did they?
  3. I hope so. It's hard to tell with this show since she's only ever been compared to or encouraged to be E1 Laurel. By Oliver, by Quentin. Even Sara only asked her if she was anything like "her" Laurel. And now that she's pretending to be that Laurel...who knows what Beth's going on about. Hopefully she lets her be her own person.
  4. If they're going to make a whole storyline out of redeeming Black Siren, I hope they do better with her backstory than her dad dying and not making it home with her birthday cake and Oliver dying. I'm really tired of these things that so many people manage to live through and continue to be decent human beings being used as backstories for gross villain behavior. I also hope they drop the "Am I E1 Laurel?" from her whole crisis and let her be someone different. The whole thing is gross. As for the BI, I think it's a procedural as well. It sounds like someone they were already phasing out anyway given the description.
  5. I thought she was just listed as a street fighter. Was it mentioned somewhere that she was homeless?
  6. No. She seems to be following pretty much everyone on the cast.
  7. Oliver can find out he has a half sister right around the time present William finds out he's going to have a half sister and it'll be fun. O/F need to get started on that like right when Oliver gets out of the slammer.
  8. Is Oliver gonna dig a hole out of Slabside hidden behind a poster or what?
  9. I was bummed to read that too - I always liked discussing the show over there. Allison mentioned in the comments that she'd be reviewing episodes from time to time, so I guess maybe she didn't want to do it anymore and they couldn't find someone else to pick it up. I don't blame them, haha. Someone else mentioned starting a discussion thread, so that might be happening even if there aren't any recaps.
  10. It was just SO SATISFYING. After seeing him laying low all episode, then deciding to fight back after seeing Felicity, looking at her pic with William and just angrily wiping away his chalk calendar. That he got the people who had harassed him about her...UNF. I got the tingles.
  11. I loved that fight. I thought it was the best, most satisfying fight I've watched in the show. Oliver striding out into the prison yard with purpose, holding his little book, slamming Brick in the windpipe with it and knocking him out. I loved the stupid smirk that big oaf had when the guard told Oliver not to be a hero, I loved Oliver knocking him the fuck out, I loved the "You should have killed me," and Oliver just calmly putting his hands behind his head. It was excellent. This prison Oliver I can deal with for some more episodes.
  12. They're really wishy-washy about whose past transgressions matter. I mean the DA is someone who used to openly run around as the Black Canary. I think they don't much care if you did it as long as you don't do it anymore. Which is weird, but...whatever, Star City.
  13. I guess it was just the delivery then, because she didn't even seem pissed - it seemed to be a genuine, "How could you have been there? You're in here." I guess Oliver could've taken it as a dig because it's something he's sensitive about given his mistake of taking that plea deal, it just played strangely when I watched it.
  14. Good ol' reddit! I thought the word choice was kind of strange (also when Oliver says he was sorry he wasn't there and Felicity says, "How could you have been?" and then he gets defensive about the only reason he went to prison was to keep Felicity and William safe.) I like you're interpretation of that part of it.
  15. Maybe they're going to have a series of these with other characters? They probably wanted to put this out first to get people talking. As for Stephen having the range to play Barry - if anyone's ever seen him on Hung, he'll be perfectly fine playing a happy goof.
  16. I don't remember it being in the episode (I think they were trying to surprise people with the time jump), but Beth Schwartz talks about it here.
  17. Did he get all of his scripts 10 hours before? Because he acted the same way in his ep as he did in all the others. So I don't think lead time worked to his advantage.
  18. I don't doubt that at all. But her comment implied that Kirk is the only one who engages with fandom (and she included that he makes people's timelines relevant LOL) because people on the cast have told her that they don't want to engage so they can protect their families from rabid fans. But SA is the only one I can think of who's had people be nasty about his wife, and he engages with fandom the most out of the cast.
  19. Everything from the eyes down look good to me, but his head seems to go on forever.
  20. I thought Oliver was going to be the Flash, I just wasn't prepared for it to look like...that. LOL
  21. William wasn't able to see Oliver in prison anyway - given that he and Felicity were in witness protection - and he can be pulled out of boarding school and come home to his family once his father is out of prison and the guy trying to kill him isn't trying to kill him anymore.
