  1. It’s not her job to get yelled at. It’s not Randall’s job to yell at her. Beth and Randall are so conceited and clueless. A very bad combination. Definitely frustrating and disheartening, but my friends in the foster care business seem to think it is par for the course. It isn't all rainbows, too much pain and agenda going on at all times. Heck, these days a bus driver can't yell at a kid to sit down and stay safe, and a teacher can't fail a student without some parent ripping them a new one. It's annoying watching Randall do that, but in this self entitled society, it is common, and realistic. My teacher friends cry all the time, just trying to do their job. Lots of rocks and hard places. The show depicted the reality of an idealistic couple very well. And they backed down and corrected themselves, so that is good.
  2. It's funny how Milo never had to do squat playing on Gilmore Girls, and in this he is showing so much heart and depth. I think Kevin's episode is also my favorite. And this one came around for me when Randall realized he is just as pushy and demanding as the woman he was hell bent on judging and shutting down (Deja's mom) . And as usual, his wife saw it, too, so they teamed up nicely. Kevin had no idea Tess was in the car, so I hope no one blames him for that. Blame him for a lot, but he was as horrified as we were to see her there in that situation.
  3. Randall, the type A control freak, let go and let Deja go back to her mom, because he listened to his father. For him, that's a big deal. I suppose, with "Number One", we learned the depth of disappointment a cocky teenager can face and how badly they handle it. And then how much one can fold under a repeated circumstance when you didn't give up the cocky. Not sure with Number Two. Some accidental pregnancy with a horrible man is not in my wheelhouse for being moving.
  4. It's the job, though. Randall's anger is because he cares, and her greatest enemy is actually apathy. Social workers have such difficult and special roles, dealing with jaded cynics and disappointed idealists.
  5. I'm not feeling much about the miscarriage, but I know the show wants it to be the worst thing that ever happened to anybody. All I see is thank God Toby won't be a father just yet. But yeah, with everyone going through so much, we are not going to see the siblings comforting one another.
  6. He kept ignoring her calls, but he didn't know that she had a miscarriage, so no he wasn't blowing her off while she was trying to tell him. I don't think he'd much help now anyway. Yep. She did her share on her end of ignoring calls as well (which we see later on).. Both siblings were hurting for their own reasons, and not all of us want to take a call if we are in pain or feeling worthless. I expected him to fall over with heart troubles from the pills. Some kind of dramatic collapse. Instead it was just an emotional one, and he nailed it. He was perfect in displaying his self loathing and grief over terrible choices and circumstances.
  7. Agreed. I know he was an avid tanner, but that makes you crinkle up over the years. He is weirdly smooth and it freaks me out.
  8. He's Scottish. Before Grey's I've only seen him in the movie Trainspotting, so it took me a while to get used to his American accent. BTW, that movie launched several Scottish/British actors. Ewan McGregor, Johnny Lee Miller, Robert Carlyle, Kelly Macdonald, etc. He plays his normal Scottish accent in Made of Honor, with Patrick Dempsey (2008).
  9. Whatever drove Rebecca (who at least had talent) seems to be driving Kate as well.
  10. I don't get how an OCD germaphobe isn't at all wigged out about a parasite living on her head. So out of character for Ana-Kat. I enjoyed Oliver, because although he was still Alex P. Keaton in his motives, he was still respectful and keeping good company. Katie is truly terrible. She hates her kids, until they pull away, and then she traps them back in. Narcissistic behaviour to a T. I love her husband, and how he gets her and loves her, but I'd prefer Katie to just be misunderstood at times, rather than be actually selfish and evil. Still, the conversations she and Greg had between the back door were sweet. I think George Hamilton looks wretched. He doesn't look 80, he looks like a plastic alien. Wrinkles are far less scary than whatever he did to himself to avoid the wrinkles. What a poser. Does anyone know if Two Fitbits girl from across the street is returning? I loved her.
  11. Well, I have not laughed one time this season, and it feels odd. Maybe my tastes have changed, or maybe the writing has gone stale, but all of it does nothing for me. I think the kids are too old and it's awkward seeing how little talent most of them have as young adult actors. And Lily's sarcastic deadpan was hilarious when she was 4, but now she just sounds like a stepford robot. Haylee and Alex are the only two who seem to still rock the shtick they do on this show. I have not felt anything cohesive about the family this season, and that was sort of the hook for this show. The only thing even vaguely familiar and cute is that Jay is still so attached to Stella (the only female in his life that doesn't ever talk back and is easy to please). So far this season has fallen flat for me. Weird how your tastes can change, but it just seems to be missing the mark. I like Joe, though.
  12. I think Kevin leans on her, as much as she does him. They are twins. I have twin nieces, they do twin things. I have identical twin cousins, and they have never caused one another to sabotage themselves for the sake of the other. Kevin realized Kate is hurting herself working for him and he let her off the hook. They have still been there for each other as siblings (as much as her jerk fiance lets her, anyway). When he heard how she viewed their working relationship and then fired her, I thought it was very selfless and sweet, and completely thinking of her. Twin connections are awesome.
  13. I think she has a type. She is so insecure, she leans toward the controlling ones. Even her twin had to fire her when he realized how she was letting him do it with work as well.
  14. Far as I can tell, she was no worse off and FREE. Toby is toxic and now she has tied herself to him. But who isn't toxic on this show. There are warts, and then there controlling manipulative abusers. Rebecca gave Randall that speech about how she wasn't sure about him for awhile, but Jack just knew, even in the hospital. This show is all about taking leaps with no real certainty. They are are all ruled by their emotions.
  15. If Chloe had half the strength and talent Misty has, I'd agree. But these girls are all slouches who rely more on social media exposure than work in the studio. Chloe is no longer good enough to be on that stage. Misty Copeland was one in a million.
  16. I can't like a guy who sits at home all day and still criticizes his partner for not doing all the housework. Not attractive to me. Even if his reasons for not trusting Tonya's intentions are true, his arguments are arrogant and egotistical. I know Tonya needs a bit of attitude and fire in her choice of men, but "cook me dinner" is likely not one of them.
  17. I agree with your reasoning (especially regarding competitive sports) but I watched three "So Sharp"shows today and saw maybe (being generous here) 5 or 6 consistently 'good' dancers. Otherwise, I don't get who is actually competing for spots, given these girls dance similar, and look mediocre. I'll be the first to say I could never do any of the steps they do, BUT these girls don't make me respond like the try-outs for America dance competitions. I don't care enough to even remember their names. As for the centre girl whose talent caused the coaches to cry? Sorry… don't get it. Maybe, because their game routines are on television, we don't get to see the real, full dance routines? Who knows? (Who cares?) When I mentioned this I was corrected about how many titles the team has won. Well, not these girls. It's a big team. I find it hard to believe these reality fame whores are the members of the team who are national champion winners. But when reality is scripted, things get confused. The only thing to watch this show for his Sharp and his brilliant blend of self deprecation and confidence. I love the guy.
  18. The fact that she told her brother first and then told him should mean nothing to him. She might feel safer telling Kevin because she cares more about what Toby will think of her, which is so sad, considering his low life opinion doesn't deserve a second of thought. For him to have a tantrum at her birthday dinner shows how narcissistic and selfish he really is. Even to make that asshole toast to her, constantly ignoring that her twin and best friend was right there also having a birthday, and just trying to celebrate with his sister, just shows what an ass he is. He has control issues and they are scary. Don't get me wrong, I think Kate is a piece of work, but on this show it's safe to say one of the kids isn't going anywhere. It would be nice, however, if they ditched this Toby character. Too bad he survived the heart attack (only to behave like a freaking baby then, too).
  19. That reminded me of something I was wondering when he was all upset? Do you thik if Kevin were her sister, Toby would be as upset by their closeness? My thoughts exactly. Toby is a pig, a controlling pig, and has been from day one. Even if he means well, his approach is more destructive to things than not. A bull in an emotional china shop. I think I hate everyone on this show. After a summer break from them, their drama is so much to take. Come on show.... Do we have a chance?
  20. That's a prepubescent body. She is a late bloomer and time will tell if she becomes her mother or not. It's got to be tough when people admire their "dancer" bodies when they are 11 and 12 years old and haven't developed yet. They will grow up to be women and most develop curves. Then they can become accountants or something. Brutal as it is, there are very few dancers who have the stage presence and dynamic to compensate for bad lines and the wrong body type. Chloe is painful to watch these days, as is Nia.
  21. They are really putting a lot of booze in Stef's hand. And when she is not drinking she is endlessly talking about wanting a drink. I preferred her hair super short and with bangs. She looks strange with this current style. Callie is such a jerk. She has no right to be defensive that boys get jealous when they are with her. She is batting 100 on being that girl you would not want anywhere near your boyfriend. She has never been trustworthy. I don't give a flip about Aaron- I find him creepy, but she should cut the guy some slack about his uneasiness.
  22. He has always been able to turn on the charm. And all I really see is him still being controlling, only he has everyone controlled by his kindness instead of his nastiness. He is still doing everything he can to steal the show. The women all look so good out on the beach without the false eyelashes and heavy foundation and weird hairdos. They look good more natural.
  23. True. I like Brynn's body, but she doesn't do much so I forgot about her. She reminds of how Chloe and Paige looked back in the day. Now Chloe looks like a Clydesdale.
  24. Well, the premise of the show was to have the mothers make asses out of themselves. The kids get a clean edit because it isn't about them. That is also why the kids aren't that good. Their moms auditioned for the show, not the kids. The kids got a free ride of over exposure. Agree. The reality is dancers need a certain body type and none of these girls fit. It's distracting.
  25. How does the therapist/coach/whatever he is/ not know that Christy is a recovering alchoholic? Ya think that would have been brought up in their sessions somehow, someway, sometime.... You'd think they would restrict alchohol so the couples would have more clarity over their issues. I like the corny team building exercises, lol. I think Matt cares what people like Hasani think, so unless he is crazy ornery drunk, he puts his best little boy foot forward. And I think sometimes he truly means what he says, but only in certain moods, as opposed to having a consistent code of conduct like healthy adults do. Christy has always been one to forgive whenever possible (AA 101), but I hope she doesn't think forgiving Matt means she needs someone that toxic in her immediate life. You can forgive without becoming best buds. Briana's friendship isn't worth a dime anyway.
