  1. Ok, I'm confused. What does shopping for Christmas online have to do with having another driver in the family? One can always shop online and not have to "stress" about driving. If Aurora's taken the car and Robyn can't get out she can do her shopping online...but if Aurora's not using the car Robyn can still do her shopping online. I don't get what she's trying to say.
  2. Oh lord, I can imagine the response: "Between work and family I'm usually too busy, but on the days when I remember to take off my flannel robe and wear clothes with an actual waistband I like to clip on this pedometer. This little machine is a fitness rock star. If you think about it, a pedometer basically counts steps. It's so encouraging to watch the number increase every time you go to the coffeemaker or bathroom! I'm hoping to improve each time I wear it and eventually crack triple digits. What tricks do YOU use to keep yourselves moving and motivated?"
  3. You read my mind, @Sasha888. We've now seen Meri shoveling her own walk, Janelle guzzling molasses by the fire, Robyn having her phone stolen by Breanna, and Christine playing in the snow with her kids. Kody, Kody, who's got the Kody?
  4. I swear I'm not trying to be a jerk, but I must ask...how did she get her legs to look so slim? If that's not a body double, then I need to learn her photography tricks stat!
  5. I should have put on my old eclipse glasses before looking at that picture.
  6. She looks like she stole Maddie's #camo... in Axel's size.
  7. On today of all days I just have to take a deep breath and focus on the positive - I'm very thankful for this place and for all of you. I'm sure if we could meet in person we'd discover that we have all kinds of differences, but I'm glad that we can unite here behind some basic ideas of common decency. (And I'm so relieved that these ideas still exist in the world, particularly on the internet.) And yes, snark too. May you all have a wonderful day and some delicious food, whether that means celebrating with a big group or enjoying some alone time. My heartfelt thanks go out to the service members in your families. I'm thankful that none of the family I'm gathering with today are familiar with the show, so I can totally put this nonsense out of my mind!
  8. Ooh la la, love those chic peas! So much more fashionable than the plain peas. :)
  9. LOL! Or maybe just buy another package? There's no shame in keeping a few easy meals in the freezer for those "busy" times. You could even still add more of your own spices. *gasp*

  11. Out of curiosity (because I'm not familiar with that part of the country), I looked it up and it takes approximately 4 hours to drive from Flagstaff to LV. Making that trip every weekend has got to get old. That's a lot of time to spend away from the flannel robe and yoga mat.
  12. I get the feeling that if anyone else in the family is getting anything, then Meri and her 8 phantom children will be there with their hands out as well.
  13. Was the son's name really Carapace?!? Was I hearing things?
  14. LOL. Inane and pretentious though she is, perhaps she could teach Janelle some of the finer points of photography. Janelle's pictures SUCK. Use your powers for good, Mariah!
  15. I think I'm in the minority but I like Miss Hart. I was even interested in seeing what her plan was back when the writers were temporarily making her seem scheming and shady. (They seem to have dropped that plot...) Her reaction to being taken off this case was very understandable to me, but the whole thing seemed like a clunky device just to work Julia into the episode.
  16. Yawn. Snooze. In college, my friends and I had our funky little coffeehouses/taquerias/diners/etc. where we'd commiserate over our stressful lives while lazing around with our drinks/tacos/pancakes/whatever. Been there, done that, didn't need to post on social media about it. Though I am intrigued by, "Grief is Horny." Say wha??
  17. I was torn between these two, too. Maybe check your local library. Mine had Bleak Harbor, so I downloaded Rapid Falls.
  18. In the immortal words of the Church Lady, "Well isn't that special?" Seriously, who cares?!?!?! (That's addressed to Mariah, not you @ginger90.)
  19. Well I usually hate gimmicks and I loved it, so I'm feeling a bit body-snatched myself. Of course only a "possessed" Higgins would become a good worker! "Romance?"
  20. Exactly! It wouldn't have taken any more time or energy to type a message like that. Even if she was still grumbling on the inside, sometimes in customer service you just have to suck it up and put on a happy face. And, frankly, now that she's shown her true colors I am HERE FOR IT!
  21. Sadly, I don't think Truely's one of the bonus kids that count in Meri's world.
  22. You do you, @Gothish520. :) I can respect that. To me, her hair seemed extra bad because it was atop what's actually a decent outfit by Meri standards. (Did I just say that?!?) And that "wounded Civil War soldier" hat (TM someone here, forget who) will always be hilariously awful.
