  1. I wonder if Carole would have stayed in journalism if only Anthony had died....she seemed prepared (as prepared as you can be) for his death, but the death of JFKjr and CBK is what really turned her inside out IMO. It was the combination of both deaths, theirs coming at the end of such a long and drawn out suffering. I understand the need to leave everything behind and go far, far away. I'm a little surprised she ever came back. I don't mind her mentioning her journalism past, I think she's proud of it and she should be. As far as the show, isn't it a social experiment? I think Carole treats it with the exact amount of reverence it deserves! LOL I've never seen the medium shows, so I don't really have an opinion on them, but it's not unheard of that someone might want to connect with a dead loved one, and even believe or do some weird shit to try and get some feeling of connection....and if it's televised, well, someone has to pay the mortgage.
  2. LOL, that probably wasn't her plan but the opportunity presented itself, and it likely pays pretty good. I think that Carole probably appreciates the un-serious nature of it all. Well, CBK is dead, so it's kinda hard for her to be mortified.
  3. Money does not assuage grief, and tragedy whores are those who haven't actually experienced the tragedy, but are looking for a personal connection to a tragedy in order to get attention.
  4. Carole left journalism and the news media to mourn the death of her husband and friends...it's like an old life. Someone upthread mentioned it's like she lost her moorings. Yes, she did. She lost everything, and she reinvented herself. I believe she stated that she only recently even reached out to friends and coworkers from ABC, whom she hadn't spoken with in over a decade. After what she went through, I understand how she could leave everything behind...it seems like she's finally starting to move on, so she can revisit that part of her life now. I'm happy for her.
  5. I don't believe the police, the DA or the judge that issued the restraining order have to do anything that Bethenny says....Jason was arrested and charged and a restraining order issued, that's a pretty strong indication that something is wrong with his behavior, but he'll get his chance to defend himself in court. So far we have seen no evidence that Bethenny is guilty of stalking or harassing Jason. I have a feeling, though, that no matter what Jason does, somehow Bethenny will still be at fault.
  6. If that's the case, then Jason can present that in court.....but yeah, considering there are no allegations against Bethenny in that regard, I think that it's unlikely to exist. It's good to keep in mind that this is not just Bethenny making these claims. There are attorneys involved, and now the NYPD and the court system that have brought charges against Jason and issued a restraining order against him. There IS evidence that Jason is doing the harassing. There is no evidence, at this point that I'm aware of, that Bethenny is doing the same.
  7. LOL, I'm sure we all think Anthony would have the same opinion of Carole as we do. Except I'm sure we would never be able to know what Anthony would think of her now, because unlike us, Anthony actually knew her and loved her.
  8. Maybe the intruder forgot! Can you imagine, getting halfway down the road and then being like SHIT!! LOL Sorry to laugh because I know we are talking about a murder, but I think in hindsight we always think people would behave methodically or logically and not make mistakes. Even a murderer can have a brain fart.
  9. Maybe, but I will admit I'm taking these expert findings with a HUGE grain of salt, especially since I found out that the 'revelation' of the secret conversation on the 911 call was basically word for word what the Boulder PD had posited. It was obvious they were just proving the Burke theory, not just presenting facts. There is a counter documentary, I watched on A&E where the expert says that JB had claw marks on her neck meaning she was fighting the strangulation, something that would have been impossible by the theory presented on this show that JB was basically brain dead from the earlier blow. Which one is true?? Will we ever know?? I find it so interesting that neither the blow nor the strangulation can be determined as the definitive cause of death. That to me seems odd, seems like it should be one or the other.
  10. I could buy the Burke theory, too, with the head blow and the pineapple, and the cover up ransom note, etc by the parents. What I can't reconcile that with is the strangulation, any and all parts of it. I can't imagine Burke doing it, I can't imagine one of the parents staging it for the cover up and I certainly cannot get on board with the idea that one of the parents finished her off because the blow to the head didn't kill her. I also can't dismiss the DNA in the panties and leggings, which I understand was mixed with a drop of JB's blood? The Burke/parent cover up theory makes the most sense if not for a few things that I just can't make fit in my mind....but I will admit I have not paid that much attention, I have been watching the recent coverage but it's not like I've spent twenty years reading about the case. I feel like at this point, there is so much out there it's hard to know what is true and what has become historical fiction, and what pieces matter (like the poop in the bed....did it really happen? maybe it was JB's? Was it months, weeks, years before?) ... I agree, it's too much, it's too much!
  11. I think it could make sense. If JB was being strangled and was fighting back during the strangulation (clawing at the rope/string) I can see the perp (intruder or otherwise) deciding to try knocking her in the head, at least to get her to stop fighting. I think the blow could have come in the middle of the strangulation, and the strangulation being easier to finish once she was knocked out.
  12. Blaming bad behavior on menopause is pretty sexist IMO, it's the same as insulting women for menstruating or blaming their behavior on their 'lady hormones'. It's especially shitty and I don't believe there is any question that justifies that kind of answer from Jules. If Jules had a problem with any of the women's behavior, she is absolutely free to address that....Jules chose to insult and age shame the ladies and that reveals Jules to be an asshole, no matter what questions she was asked.
  13. Well, we don't know how long Jules made the comments, just when the editors decided to put them in the season. I don't think it makes a difference when the timeline was...it happened. Multiple times. As far as any other comments, I don't understand why behavior can't be addressed at any age. If someone is being rude, or stupid, or ridiculous....OK, call that out. Insulting women by saying they are old enough to be your mother and should know better is just unnecessary. Blaming their behavior on being menopausal is bordering on sexist and is definitely unnecessary. Jules was an asshole and should be called out as such, not given a pass just because she was insulting Bethenny and Carole. IMO
  14. This feels like politics, a point is made or question is asked about one candidate, a and the answer is how the other candidate is shittier. Jules age-shamed the other ladies. It's shitty, it's unacceptable and I would say it's bordering on sexist with the menopause comments. That's my opinion.
  15. If Jules had a problem with the way the ladies were behaving, nothing was preventing her from addressing their behavior. Jules could have stated that the ladies were being rude, or catty, or assholes or even juvenile and immature if she wanted. Instead, she chose to insult them by calling them "menopausal" (THE HORROR!! Old women!!!!) and make sure that everyone knew that she was young and fertile and these women were old enough to be her mother. Jules age-shamed them. No ifs, ands or buts about it. Jules chose to use their old age as a way to insult them. She could have addressed their behavior in a myriad of ways. Yet, she chose to insult their age. It was shitty when Brandi Glanville did it and it's shitty when Jules does it. IMO. MMV.
  16. EXACTLY!!!! LuAnn's first instinct is to LIE and DENY. I can't stand that shit. Her response to Andy bringing up her saying she had an open marriage was to deny she ever said that, when she said it on the show multiple times and she saw herself say it on the show. LuAnn is a fake ass phony trying to play Countess. Daaaahhhling.
  17. I just don't see this, Bethenny pretty much always admits that she acts terrible. She did it in the Berkshires, she did it regarding what happened with Sonja, I mean, she did it at the reunion when Andy told her she was acting hostile.....her response was "OK". This was during the discussion where the yelling, slurring, gesticulating, berating Dorinda Meddler tried to protest that she doesn't brow beat anyone!! LOL I don't see Bethenny as someone who can NEVER admit she is wrong or did anything wrong, I think Bethenny is very in tune with her faults and will readily and openly admit them. Whether she can or has tried to change them is a different story....but admitting them? I feel like she's got that part down pat.
  18. Andy brought up the menopausal age comments (or shaming if anyone but Jules had said them) that Jules made....which Jules defended by saying they were jokes and Dorinda tried to justify.
  19. I did not get the impression Bethenny was surprised by just learning about Ramona's involvement at the reunion. When Sonja brings it up, she says "how about the friends that were going to do Tipsy Girl, the friends that signed the contract..." and Bethenny interrupts to say to Ramona "yeah, Sonja said that you were going to do it"....so Bethenny knew prior to the reunion. They taped in July, that article was May, so yeah, it was a new piece of info in terms of the show.
  20. I don't think it matters that much except for all of the protestations that Carole and Jules were generations apart! People born 18-20 years apart can be a part of the same generation, so yes, it's a significant age difference but not one that precludes them from being in the same generation, which is what Carole said. I don't think the age difference was an issue until Jules used it to insult the old motherly menopausal hags. I mean, I can't imagine why Carole might be sour about that! LOL! That said, I don't consider Jules and Carole to be that far apart in terms of their station in life, even considering that Carole is single and dating and Jules is married with children. I would consider them peers and I believe at least in terms of the show, that's what they are supposed to be. But MMV.
