  1. Wow, I don’t even remember Madeline at the moment! I’m intrigued to catch up to that character again, she must really be quite bland indeed for me to have forgotten all about her. In today’s little rewatch game of spot-the-returning-actor, I enjoyed realising that the murder victim in S07E05 was played by Zahra Ahmadi - now back from beyond to become DS Williams in Beyond Paradise.
  2. Yes, very much so. I was neutral on Neville in the beginning but now I think he ended up my favourite. I’m also noticing through my rewatch that I’m much more forgiving of characters that I initially didn’t enjoy at all (hello Ruby, you’re not so bad after all!).
  3. Just rewatching s02e06 and had a small shock when I recognised the voice of one certain Mr. Little playing one of the suspects, Will from Manchester. Probably I saw someone mention it before, but had completely forgotten so it was a nice surprise. Especially with the timing!
  4. I couldn't actually watch it properly, just kept doing the little 10s skips until it was over and everyone survived.
  5. Yes, this was painful to watch. My memory of the books details is hazy, but this did a lot in the relative short episode with not much dialogue (I felt). Painful but beautiful.
  6. I am not ready for Neville to leave. Even with the return of Dwayne and Florence.
  7. Indeed Feb 4th, here is the article. Mildly spoilery of course!
  8. I did not love looking at the jar with Swan's eyeball and finger...
  9. I loved so much of this (Mat! Lan! Moiraine! Uno!) but am surprising myself by grieving for Ish. Oh Fares, you were amazing. I caught myself head-plotting ways for Ish to get back on track mid-episode. There's a Darkfriend deep inside me! In fact I'd have preferred, in the minority I guess, to lose Lanfear if we absolutely had to part with one of them already. Which is not to say I'm not enjoying Lanfear - she's obviously delicious too. And Hopper, my poor heart. It was also sad to see Egwene kill Renna in the end. Clearly Renna as all Seanchan was deplorable but they did such a brilliant job of layering the character. And, I agree that it will be a huge thing for Egwene to recover from as mentioned above.
  10. Even later to the party here (I swear I was going to finally watch VM when I heard about the movie and then, what, somehow another 10 years or so passed?!? 🤯) but this colour thing is hilarious. It’s not helping me either, I still can’t tell Duncan and Logan apart on sight, 13 episodes in!
  11. I also only remember seeing those supplements appear around that time - which was also after I had read / listened to The Girl With All the Gifts. Needless to say I'm not particularly keen to try any of them...
  12. Phew! The Cap of Invisibility is back, I worried for a minute.
  13. On top of the fact that we knew Mara would be fine since we’ve seen her consistently in the present, at Bud’s funeral even since S1…
  14. To be honest, also as a book reader who doesn’t necessarily follow every item of casting news in advance, this would be helpful!
  15. In fairness to main character, she'd already brought mysterious character home to the family before she said grace :) I enjoyed it so far in spite of the tropes and contrivances and always enjoy Emily Deschanel so that's good. Now just to deal with the disappointment of the lack of discussion on this forum! I honestly don't know how to watch TV without it anymore...
  16. Thom! I did not expect that almost Leonard Cohen-like vibe I got from him and his song but I like it. Dana was indeed a delight.
  17. My feelings exactly. I'm only now able to watch this (finally!) and caught the pilot last night. My heart did a little double-beat at the first view of Lan, and Mat was always my favourite - or I guess I should say the first - so I was glad to recognise him immediately too. Like some other people mentioned it will be interesting to see if/how giving him a darker background story pays off. Two Rivers and its atmosphere made me feel right at home and I really liked Tam in particular.
  18. I was just so delighted (yes yes, I'm easily pleased) when the little girl with sleeping sickness from a seemingly throwaway scene in the pilot returned as the bewitchingly youthful-looking great-grandmother of over a century of age.
  19. Yes. This was the episode that really made me realise how really into this show I actually had become. Not to say I didn't like the previous episodes but they didn't grab me instantly. The very beginning was interesting, while somewhat confusing, and I struggled a bit with how fast everything seemed to be moving with the Roderick, Alex, Ethel and John part of the story - but now it all started to make sense for me. I'm completely without Sandman history so didn't know what to expect beyond some genre TV. The dreamlike tonal changes are really working for me at this point.
  20. Perhaps that's why I feel so warm and fuzzy with the visuals of this show - I was just a little bit too young to really register and remember the fashion at the time but Stranger Things just looks so much like what I'd see on TV back in the day (and probably much the same styles continued on screen even into the 90s) that I can't help but love it.
  21. Ah yes, just went back to check. Clearly missed more than I thought while multitasking at the beginning!
  22. I'm pretty sure they were referred to as Ten when picked up for the tests, so I assume it was El's predecessor rather than her.
  23. I completely didn't recognise Fallon's face in that reveal! Just assumed that Adam had made her look like his other mother or something based on the way the scene was obviously expecting us to recognise something about the new Alexis. Going to have to go back and check again now! Either way I'm really tired of Alexis so hopefully the new face version won't be quite as annoying at least.
  24. Ha! Yes, I could not stop giggling about that either.
