  1. That thing looked like a concrete animal trough. Ugly through and through. Why not one of the beautiful beaches, or a genuine pool in such a beautiful area? Shoot, at least paint that atrocity aqua. Creeped me out.
  2. This. Especially the parts I've bolded. The lengths NeNe especially will go to put someone else down are never ending. Her sense of entitlement to not only acu-lades, but to be seen as head and shoulders above anyone else has no bounds. If she is suffering the loss of her friendship with Cynthia, she has only herself to blame. She spent lengthy amounts of time dissing Cynthia, and then when there appeared to be a rapprochement, she turned around and acted like, "Bitch, did I tell you you may approach the throne? I don't think so." Bleep, bloop. And my blood pressure is suffering as well. I don't know why I let all this rudeness get under my skin, but it does.
  3. NeNe apologized. NeNe apologized! NeNe apologized! Sincere or not, that's a first. I had to tell myself several times so I would believe it. I was pretty disappointed to see Kandi amongst NeNe's group of ratcheds. Last year, I'm sure Porsha wouldn't have been among them cackling like a hyena, but this year that's no surprise. I guess I'm in the minority, but I was cheering on Claudia when she was giving those girls what for. "Apologies" or not, they had been waving themselves all over the place and her comments were mostly right on. I actually like Claudia and Demetria and they are relieving me of the boredom of NeNe and Phaedra constantly showing their respective rears, while Porsha just continues to degenerate before our very eyes.
  4. I agree that many of the guests were shockingly rude. However, even though I've played all manner of card games and have been fairly good at it, I don't get poker (never really played it and can't follow along when others do) and I couldn't figure out what he was talking about most of the time. I really think Kyle was not pretending. Who would keep up an act like that with people calling you stupid?
  5. Someone mentioned that Kyle had "exposed" Kim's substance abuse in public again. In all fairness, Kyle went to the bathroom when she got upset. She didn't say anything to Kim, or anyone else, but Kim pursued her and wanted to know what was going on. Kyle whispered to her her concerns about Kim's behavior and what she suspected caused it. She didn't say anything in front of the other women, and when she went back she started talking about how embarrassed she was at not being able to play poker. Kim went up to her and sarcastically "thanked" her. Kyle didn't seem to know what Kim meant and that's why she kept trying to get an answer about why Kim was upset. This was a far cry from her earlier calling out of Kim. I think she was trying to keep her concerns quiet, and it was Kim who "went there."
  6. Yes, it was too creepy! And on WWHL they had a vote - Kyle or Brandi? It was 24 or 25% Brandi, and the rest went to Kyle.
  7. Yo's fixation on her daughters becoming models is really uncomfortable to me. I'm not entirely sure why. I did some low profile modeling in my time, so it's not that modeling itself bothers me. I think it's more that the photoshoots I've seen the girls do really bother me. I don't like how seductively they are posed and when I saw her watching Bella's shoot with such approbation when the girl's boobs were hanging out, I was aghast. She worries about her daughters being away at school, and, I'm sorry, it just seems to me that if your daughters are away and you want them to be safe, you wouldn't want them seen on national TV semi nude.
  8. I felt that was real concern as well. I know she was embarrassed, but I think she was really distressed that Kim was not together. Brandi said she was jealous because Kim had been a bigger child star. Well, maybe she is, but that was not the problem when they were playing poker. It was Kim's "in your face" imitation of Brandi at her worst that was the problem.
  9. Good grief, Brandi is a screeching harpy from hell. My first experience with discomfort this episode was when she said something about how she wasn't sober and Kim was sober and that was OK, because she didn't have to be sober, or something along those lines. There was something about what she said that seemed to foreshadow the disaster of her enabling Kim to go off the wagon. She was all kinds of inappropriate all over the place yet again, but how she encouraged Kim and pretty much ganged up on Kyle in all that bitchy silliness was ugly. I've never been a great supporter of Kyle, but after seeing the conversation of honesty between her and Kim regarding the wine tasting, and then the awful debacle that followed, that whole scene was just horrible. I also saw on WWHL that it escalates next week to Brandi telling Kyle she has "never been there" for Kim. That's right, Brandi, encourage and enable Kim to fall off the wagon after her hard won sobriety. You just want someone lolling in the gutter with you. Class act all the way.
  10. The problem I have with the whole "he knew they would come" idea is that, just because your house looks unoccupied, does not make it a given that they would come. They could have simply decided to leave the guy alone. If they weren't out looking for trouble, they wouldn't have even known the truck was not there nor that the lights weren't on. Free will and all that. :) Because of their prior behavior, he had a good reason to believe they would try it again, but he had no way of knowing for certain.
  11. Oh, oh, oh! Islandgal40! Prolapse!!! I've been trying to think what they reminded me of and you are dead on! Poor girl. I know she had surgery a couple of years ago to get a reduction, but unfortunately, I can't tell any difference. I could swear that years ago she said they were her own natural lips, but more recently she's admitted to "enhancement."
  12. When people set out to do wrong to others, they shouldn't expect their victims to just put up with it. They set in motion the events that led to their demise. Was their punishment too severe for their crimes? Most definitely, as I already stated. Not going to defend him for the brutality of his response. However, it is common for victims of home burglary to suffer deep psychological stress, constant overwhelming fear, feelings of violation, and feeling perpetually unsafe in their homes. That Mr. Smith suffered from these reactions is attested to not only by his own statements, but by statements of his friends. I think he became unhinged because of being repeatedly put in this position. Which could explain why he did not call police until the next day, among other strange and unusual responses. The fact is that if they had not decided to victimize him yet again, they would still be alive today. He was not out stalking them on the streets. And they were no poor, disadvantaged teens. Very well spoken, prosperous looking families. BTW, he did not say "mercy shot." I believe the statement was the chilling "clean, finishing shot." Brr.
  13. I've just watched "12 Minutes on Elm Street" about the man who supposedly lured two innocent, All American, fun loving teens into his home so he could murder them, malice aforethought. There was a case in England similar to this. Thugs had invaded a man's home several times over several years, stealing valuable items each time. They were career burglars and ne'er do wells. Finally, one night, when they once again broke in, he was prepared and shot at them, killing one and I think wounding another of the three. He was found guilty of "lying in wait." Because he had a gun, and left his house unlit, so the thugs thought he wasn't at home. He received a harsh sentence and the "victims" and families went on to sue him for injury and wrongful death and won. Later, his sentence was shortened on appeal, I believe. I thought that could never happen here. I was wrong. The real victim in this case, a Mr. Smith, was found guilty of first degree murder of the two teens and sentenced to life in prison. For what? Parking his truck away from his home so people would think he was away from home. Entrapment? Did he put a trap door out there on his lawn with a chute that dropped the teens into his home where he could shoot them when they were dumped into his basement? Did he leave a sign out front saying, "Come into my home, free candy inside?" Um, no. Oh, and he made a recording of the events, which showed that he was not regretful that he had killed the teens. There were also statements on the tape that he now felt relieved and was "still shaking." He had video cameras posted outside his home due to the several earlier instances of break-ins. In one of the break-ins, a couple of his guns had been stolen. Neighbors stated that he had been depressed and in fear of further break-ins and he stated that since his guns had been stolen, he feared they would be used against him on any future break-ins. Nick Brady and Halie Kifer were seen "casing" the "joint." Nick was shown peering into windows and circling around the house, apparently trying to ascertain whether the house was indeed unoccupied. His car was parked several blocks away. Apparently, it is OK for thieves to park their cars away from the scene, but not the homeowner. Nick's car contained items from earlier burglaries, I believe some from Mr. Smith's home, and also some from another home in the area. This evidence was ruled inadmissible, as was the fact that Nick had participated in several burglaries, and that Mr. Smith's home had been burglarized several times. One classmate of Nick's told Dateline that Nick was the type of person who bullied other kids at school and shoved them into lockers. Yet, the preponderance of Dateline's presentation chose to make Nick look like just a fun loving kid, rather than a bully who repeatedly burglarized neighbors. As was the prosecutor's tack. When Nick broke into a window, he proceeded to go downstairs to the basement, where Mr. Smith was. The basement contained a living area with bookcases, chairs, carpeting, etc. It seemed to me Nick must have felt there were valuables down there, because he seemed to head straight for the basement. I believe Mr. Smith was in a closet at the time, after hearing Nick break in. He shot Nick three times. Later, Hailie came in, proceeded also down the basement stairs, sounding scared and whispering Nick's name. Mr. Smith shot her six times. He claimed he did not know whether they were armed or not. He made some statements on the tape that he felt he had just gotten rid of some "vermin." Definitely overkill. Definitely, he should not have gone so far. But how can it be stated that simply because he felt justified and relieved, that this was premeditated murder, and not an overzealous defense of one's home? The only way he could have predicted they would invade his home was, not because he "trapped" them into it, but because they had done it before! At the most, I think they should have found him guilty of manslaughter, or possibly second degree murder. But there is no way anyone should be found guilty of premeditated murder when the invaders came into the home of their own free will, in order to victimize someone they thought not to be at home! I've been watching a lot of Investigation Discovery in the last few days, and time and again, I've seen murderers, many of whom first stalked, terrorized, and tortured their victims prior to killing them, get sentences of things like 14-20 years to life, then getting parole in ten or fifteen years. Then there is Mr. Smith, sentenced to life in prison because teens repeatedly invaded his home and he decided to defend himself. Just have to shake my head.
  14. First, we were locked up in our house for 18 months with no visitors except Brandi, but apparently snuck out somehow to go to parties, Paris, etc. Now 18 months has turned into two years, and not only are we locked up, but we lost our voice. So, obviously, we couldn't have accused Ken of grabbing our arm, or Lisa of various things, nor done any TH's. Was someone doing voiceovers, or have I imagined that Yolanda has been attending events and actually talking for the last couple of seasons? Oh, and she must have escaped to Kyle's house for a while, because I noticed a giant glass jar of lemons on Kyle's counter this week or last week. I keep meaning to mention how awesome Eileen's house is. That aerial shot they did after Eileen and Vince were talking on one of their verandas about Brandi's wine tossing was breathtaking! The lovely color of the house, the verandas all over the back of the house, the rotunda, the view! Droooooooool! Now, that's what I want to see. To me, Yolanda's house pales in comparison.
  15. I was from the beginning feeling Brandi was not crying, but laughing. When she turned around, there was just something about the sounds she was making and the way her shoulders were shaking that seemed more like laughter. Jeff may or may not have been in on it. I don't know him at all, but he did look taken aback. So much cray-cray in just 1 day - it's dizzying.
  16. Oh, and now we hear she "lost her voice" for, not 18 months now, but 2 years! Has someone been doing voiceovers for her?? SMH.
  17. Well, you know, it's not polite to rescind invitations. Not only that, the hostess could get a lot of backlash, like Kyle did when she uninvited Taylor. Brandi deserves to be treated with the respect of proper etiquette. NOT. Carry on, LOL. ETA: the lack of outraged reaction, especially from Eileen, is one thing which makes me wonder if this whole scene was scripted.
  18. It's ridiculous, but the longer I think about this episode, the more depressed I get. I'm not sure which depresses me the most: It's all true; Brandi spontaneously did this. She's just that impulsive and inappropriate. It's production-driven and we are being had. The producers think this is what the audience wants. I watched this and I may continue to watch this regardless of the ick factor.
  19. It also seemed to me at the time that Lisa's voice sort of trailed off mid sentence when she realized where she was going. It didn't seem like any sort of deliberate out, but more like a response to Kim that wasn't thought out in advance. More of an "open mouth, insert foot" comment.
  20. I feel like I just crawled out of a slime pit. Between NeNe and her "You didn't really think that meeting was detente, did you?" attitude, and Kandi's show going even lower than ever, it was one tasteless night in hell. NeNe didn't think the wicked stepmother role was her? Right. Check yourself out in the mirror, girl.
  21. I see Brandi is starting off on her usual tacky foot - off color comment about sticky things. Also, I see she did not hold back on this show either, in telling someone to STFU. Classy.
  22. For me, Kyle's downfall came mostly from her treatment of Kim at the fateful party and especially in the limousine. That was the discussion I was seeing. Then, when the first pileup on Lisa, her supposed good friend, came at reunion time, there was Kyle, calling Lisa Bobby Fischer. When Adrienne came at Lisa out of left field, Kyle didn't miss a beat in joining her. I just don't see that a comment from Lisa about Kyle and Mauricio befriending people who were potential clients changed how the public at large viewed Kyle. Most commentary against Kyle began long before that, and she was perceived as a "mean girl" by many. I also don't think people harbor much personal animus against others for doing something which benefits their business. Now, when someone "outs" and trashes her sister on national TV, and sides with the atrocious Taylor when she bullies Kim, that will make people sit up and take notice.
  23. She shouldn't have said it in any event, but I don't think she intended the comment to ruin anyone's reputation. Snark is snark.
