Well, that answers the question of "is the visitation room guarded?" I wish they would write Kristen to be just straight up evil again. Stacy obviously has a ball when she's playing mean. Gwen, it would be a lot easier to side with you if you didn't insist on harping on what Abigail got that you apparently deserved in your childhood. Girl, the entire world is filled with people who do better or have more. You're going to continue to live a miserable life if that's the attitude you take. I continue to love Kate. Her message of condolence to Abigail was heartfelt, even though she admitted she and Laura had a bad history. Gwen, that's how it's done.

Agreed that the nicknames are already past their best before date. I was surprised with the continuation of the team names. Wouldn't it be better to allow teams to come up with something that they feel fits them best, not trying to fit a mold of a season ago? I wish Angel had been more assertive. When they picked him to be the lead in the construction challenge, I could see it going badly. Was it Tara who stepped up? She was great - spoke up and took charge without being bossy. I can see the nurse doing well on challenges that require a great deal of mental fortitude, or perhaps when things need to be changed on the fly.

Re #2: Kristen manipulated her by insisting that John wasn't well and could die at any moment, so Brady was going to need her there. As Susan just luuuuuurves DOCTOR MARLENA EVANS! so much, she was convinced that Kristen had to be there for the family. (Because given their history that makes so much sense.)

- Xander whined endlessly about Victor not accepting Philip's resignation as co-CEO. (This family hates me! Boo boo boo!) - Kristen convinced Susan (who was visiting her in prison) that Chloe must.be.stopped. as she is after Brady, and the only way to do this is is Susan swaps places with Kristen so she can "keep an eye on things" (because that's a sign of a healthy relationship). - Chloe offered to help take care of Brady when he's released. He mentioned that he "laid into" Kristen on the phone, and protested for about 5 seconds before he accepted the offer. - Laura went to visit Gwen and did absolutely no good at pleading her case. Gwen (rightfully so) ripped into her about what her actions did. It ended with Gwen standing over Laura laying unconscious on the floor with a small pool of blood next to her. - Chad went paintballing with the kids, then asked Abigail to move back in.

Yes. It was part of how Laura explained her role in turning away Tiffany (Gwen's mom) and being the one who paid her off.

Up until now, I've viewed her as way OTT with her actions (and I still don't disagree with that point), but she did a good job of explaining just how much Laura's actions really did completely alter her lot in life. The less said about Susan, the better.

I got the impression she hates the name "Jake", but probably thinks "Jacob" is more regal.

After 20 minutes of Kristen screeching followed by Susan doing the same, I turned it off. The character of Susan has long past her best before date, IMO. Every character on this show is a complete moron, and I just don't care what trouble they get into or if they ever get out of it.

Each time Vivian imagined the future with the twins, I kept wondering when she was going to realize one of them is female. And then to find out Ivan knew the whole time but didn't bother to mention that tiny little detail from the get go. This entire story line is so ridiculous. Why couldn't Lani have her twins and go on an extended mat leave off screen.

Of course Statesville would allow Kristen, a recent escapee, to have a new visitor. That's not suspicious whatsoever.
