  1. I was just logging in to echo your first paragraph, Mabinogia: changing things like hair often (usually?) is part of the job. It's also a known hazard of appearing on this show.
  2. I watched for the first time in months because nothing else was on - and, apparently, I'm a masochist. Laura's parting shot about Anna responding similarly if someone threatened Robin and/or Emma? Spoken like someone who was out of town for a very long time.
  3. Which is why I will never watch an all-stars seasons where she is cast - because I believe you're right about this.
  4. Yet another reference to them being sooooooo "over" Chyna. How about the giant, greasy man-baby? Are they actually holding him accountable this time or making more excuses? If he requires medical intervention to deal with his issues, is anyone reinforcing the need for him to follow through and not just quit? It took two to create something this horrendous. That poor little girl...
  5. That is one of the things I'd most like to see change ASAP: selection panels. Stop bringing in people you think we want to see on the meet the designers special and get people who might weed out the wannabes and find whatever few jewels are still naive enough to think applying for this show is a good idea. The usual suspects have failed us miserably of late.
  6. So, the woman who had nothing to show Tim but a bunch of sparkly things she planned to place on yet-unmade garments four weeks into their six-week collection creation process won this crapfest. You suck, Project Runway. Yet again. Off to erase my unwatched recording...
  7. "...I realized that my family adjusted to my being unavailable." I get that a lot of her time in the past funded the family "lifestyle" - a rare and beautiful thing in this pack. I understand (and agree with) what she's trying to convey here. But this sentence makes me want to find her and punch her lights out. Even when she's in the room, it's pretty clear she's still "unavailable."
  8. I get a lovely portrait of the two of them when I click through to Twitter.
  9. How did he manage to come from those two losers?
  10. From the moment she announced the Lularoe thing, my thoughts went to "organizer" - closets, house, whatever. Way better suited to her talents (and personality) as we've been shown.
  11. I went to his account to see what I could find on that topic. I've followed, mostly in the streams on CJ's site, and often found a lot of things that could be as much "Look at me!" attention seeking as anything else. What I find most appalling are the instances where he passes on things that demonstrate his tone-deafness (think comments about low-lifes who abuse the system and make others finance their laziness. Yes, really.) I went back as far as I could stomach today, which got me to some extended pontificating about what a disaster Obamacare is. Now, we may have some differing ideas about that here. But you know who has no credibility, for me at least, on the topic? A jackass who has let some of his too many children almost starve or get so ill their organs start to shut down. Also not high on my list of people I don't want to hear from: those who eventually accept those services from hospitals and doctors and don't feel compelled to pay for them. Now who comes to mind for you? ;)
  12. Because no other religious marriage ritual/ceremony/commitment can make that claim. They seriously piss me off with their blanket statements like that. I'll take my Baptist service and 30-plus monogamous relationship, bumps and all, over your sad-sack existence any day. This. All of this.
  13. And did it infinitely better
  14. I watched that finale on repeat and was hooked.
  15. Seeing Laura's collection again makes me sad, and it also reinforces something that's been bothering me about this year's crop. I can't recall their budgets at the time; but I remember thinking, "wow, she put every penny to good use," during her show. Looking at the final four today, I can't say the same. Granted, a dollar doesn't go as far. But still.
  16. Speaking of Erin's cutout shoulder/droopy sleeve thing: I believe it's called "cold shoulder" at Chico's this year. I'm anxiously awaiting them to work that out of their system and give me regular tops again.
  17. I turned it off when Ric said he thought that basic white halter and skirt would be his finale piece. That's what we've come to? Picking up where I left off this morning, but yeesh.
  18. Not to mention that DC's balmy January weather has been known to require recording of "live" music (see Yo-Yo Ma, Itzhak Perlman and friends, 2009). How will he react if something doesn't go his way? Oh, wait... I keep hoping this is a bunch of hooey - or that it's at a concert or ball at some other time. Things like inaugurations deserve dignity appropriate to the occasion.
  19. Just watched on the VH1 website after stopping early in the first mixed-gender season (too many reasons to count). I didn't hate it. Of course, the season is young. :) Still too many "this person is a top model prospect?!" in the final 14, but they aren't the worst bunch ever cast. Also not the worst judging panel cast. I liked the go-sees as part of the selection process.
  20. To me, both sides of the great fishing debate had a point that could be argued. However, if we hadn't spent two episodes listening to mama yammering on about the stress daughter has been under, and how it was her mission to alleviate that stress, her own case might have been just a tad stronger.
  21. I've been thinking the same thing.
  22. Mariah, you do you. I wish you well. What is more interesting to me is the likelihood that the massive herd of children they've created will include one or more who do not fit their heterosexual ideal. Statistics are not on their side. If I'm remembering right, they've talked a good game publicly about acceptance. But how will that play out when one - or more - of their children makes the theoretical real?
  23. So, watching the last couple of episodes, seeing her wring her hands as she struggles to be present for her daughter's wedding and shower prep, hearing her admit that simply asking Meri about something simple was terrifying to the point of being impossible, seeing evidence that she has failed to keep up with the simple health goals she set for herself... What credibility does she bring to this moneymaking scheme? Why should we stive with this sad sack?
  24. Once again, it's easier to blame "lonely" haters than acknowledge any misconduct on her part. Facebook's real estate, Facebook's rules, dear.
  25. Clicked through and read some of her other tweets the last few days. Not a good look. At her age, she's free to be as public and engaging as she wants. She also gets to deal with what comes along with her choices.
