  1. "Oh, shit, Jesus, is that you?" will never not be funny.
  2. I fell asleep not long into the show. Did they discuss chandler and his father's tweets that have made news?
  3. Careful what you wish for -- I don't think Negan the Mime would be an upgrade.
  4. To whomever commented on appearances, Brett Butler is 7 years older than Viola Davis and 6 years older than Famke Janssen (according to IMDb ages), but she was certainly made to look rougher than in real life.
  5. Having a $400 duvet cover doesn't mean that Michaela paid $400. I could see Michaela sneaking into Tuesday Morning or wherever and getting nice-label things for basement prices, but still referring to them as pricey.
  6. Wes was a kid wen Frank offed Mahoney, Sr. and slept with what's her name? Linda? Any kid from that time would be a teenager not the girl getting tucked in. For my vote, I think that Wes and Laurel make sense as a couple, in terms of their personalities, but they don't make for the most compelling TV.
  7. The irony of a show where cellphones are so essential to the plot then having a plot that hinged on a character having a landline!
  8. Now I'm thinking that Sarah Paulson's accent might have been in part to contrast her two characters more, knowing that Lana would appear in the final episode of this season. Total speculation but I'm thinking Lee is going to be visited by a whole bunch of unhappy spirits next week.
  9. You're probably right. All the lead cast was on except Melissa McBride, Lennie James, and Alanna Masterson, I think. This would be prime time for the cast to be filming other projects so for many it would be their one appearance on TTD this season.
  10. Opening an episode about a community run by a sociopath with the Who's the Boss? credits? That's a bit on the nose.
  11. Especially the snot bubble. I was starting to wonder if Rick had a distant cousin who was the lead character in Blue is the Warmest COlor.
  12. I'm looking forward to the Knights of Tron and am very curious to see how Carol and Morgan get along. I'm hoping for some good snarky lines from her and him giving right back in his non-snarky way.
  13. It's the reboot of 24. I don't know how much the shooting schedules overlap, but it might only mean that Heath is only in a few episodes but not necessarily walker bait. With the other story lines going on, it's not like they'll be at Alexandria all the time, anyway. Plus, the plot could have him out on supply runs or whatever offscreen and then appear when Corey is available.
  14. The episode with Scott Wilson and Lauren Cohan after Herschel died came close, but Kirkman was there to throw water on any sadness.
  15. Evidence for how long Negan droned on with his speechifying? It was dark out when Abe and Glenn were killed but light out when Rick got taken to the woodshed --- I mean RV. What I expected Negan to say at some point:
  16. I think Greg Nicotero, the special effects guy directed it. I guess he wants to show off his team's handiwork. I was ok with the graphicness of the character deaths - not that I liked it - but it didn't seem wrong to me like others have commented. Everyone eventually becomes a body on this show - either dead or undead, and I think that includes characters. I didn't that Abe and Glenn's deaths were more horrific than Herschel's, more graphic yes but horrific no.
  17. I liked how Sasha's insistence on taking Maggie with her felt like a callback to when the two of them were on the road after the prison and on their way to Terminus.
  18. I assume the writers would try to chalk it up to, "adrenaline," but how the heck did recently injured Daryl manage to leap up and attack Negan?
  19. The bird is a plover not "flubber." Flubber is the bouncy stuff from the Disney movies.
  20. I don't know why anyone wouldn't think a C-section was likely for triplets (not twins as someone discussed above). Now all triplet pregnancies are high risk (according to my friend who has trips). Back in 1979 Dr. Gerald called her pregnancy "high risk" and said she was 6 weeks before her due date, which upon reflection, makes it seem odd that the two babies weren't receiving some additional attention and were simply "healthy." I know this isn't ER or Grey's Anatomy, but some of the medical stuff seemed handwave-y.
  21. Just read an interview with the show's creator on EW.com. He referred to Milo and Mandy being in 1979 after the interviewer pointed out the photos 75-79. He also said, for whomever mentioned it above, that the Terrible Towel was vintage.
  22. So ... that episode description seems way off. Was NBC just screwing with viewers?
  23. I was only half-watching while working on lesson plans. I missed that the Manny and his sister were twins until toward the end. I'm relieved about the twist if for no other reason that it makes Dr. Gerald McRaney seem less way behind the times about pregnancies with multiples and high-risk pregnancies in general.
  24. Homicidal ghosts drive down property values.
