  1. Is the band always this bad? Last night it sounded like they couldn't get the right to the actual songs and had to use sound-alikes, there were times the tune was nearly unrecognizable
  2. Deputy Tim Mohler (Calvert Co MD) was rear ended while in his patrol car on Tuesday afternoon (http://calvertsheriff.blogspot.com/2017/04/press-release-for-dfc-mohlers.html) On his Twitter Mohler said he's okay, very sore but no broken bones
  3. Make some room for one more in that handbasket Maybe he did think of it himself, but I feel like Aiden's superhero story was not entirely his own. It was very sad and weird and may be based on a personal experience but the explanation and design seemed too grown up, too adult. Not what I would expect from a kid who creeps on everyone then is "surprised" when he sees another competitor doing something similar. I will grudgingly admit Aiden deserved the win based on this week, but Justice was better all season. I can see him kicking butt as a faker on Bakers vs Fakers one day
  4. Kenny may have been more annoying than usual in this episode, but IMO it was not unrealistic. He's a teen who broke up with his first boyfriend right before Valentine's Day, coupled with the fact he's newly out and has always had a flair for the dramatic.
  5. He was naming liquors, but there might have been mixed drinks as well. And who knows how long all that was sitting in the jug. Ew
  6. Hannah is pregnant! http://www.theplayerstribune.com/hannah-jeter-the-derek-jeter-i-know/
  7. Maya was cute, but she needed to go. She was in over her head, and every week her response to the challenge was always "Oh, I don't like that." Um, why are you on a baking show if you don't like desserts. Oh right, this is more about becoming a "star" I keep going back and forth between feeling sorry for the kids who are in way over their heads (too many of them), and annoyed that Food Network/their parents would subject these kids to something they are not ready for for TV exposure
  8. Granted it's been a very long time since I've regularly watched any version of PR and don't know if this still happens, but it was nice to see a "client as the model" challenge where the designers weren't complaining about body size
  9. This is my first season watching Nick and with the beard I thought he looks like Spencer Pratt
  10. I wish they would recast Michelle so they have an excuse to bring back some of her friends, mainly Derek. Without The People's Couch I miss having Blake McIver on my screen However, if they did recast her I have a feeling there would still be a lot of shitty comments from John Stamos alluding to how she's not the same person she used to be *wink wink*
  11. Was Joey married in S1? I remember him being around a bunch last season but I don't recall any mention of a wife and kids. When he showed up I honestly thought at first she was his new wife and these were his stepkids everyone was meeting for the first time
  12. It would be one thing if they explained it as "We have so many kids, we like to take one or two with us on errands as a chance to spend a little one-on-one time with each child." I believe the Gosselin's said they did this in the early days of Jon & Kate Plus 8. Instead (and as usual) the Duggar's have to make it super creepy and about sex
  13. taking my reply to the Jim Bob thread...
  14. Both of my sisters did the unity candle at their weddings (Catholic ceremony in a church) but they had the mothers light tapers, with a big pillar candle in the middle as the unity one. How Jinger and Jeremy ever expected to light the center one with those fat side candles is beyond me. They must have seen it done somewhere and then bought the first 3 white candles they found, with no regard to the logistics.
  15. I can't wait until Sharon Lawrence shows up again and finds out Fiona has been stealing from the diner. Manager ≠ owner, you can't just take what you want from one business to another. Unfortunately, the way this show usually works she'll probably lecture Fi but there won't be any real consequences. I know the show wants us to root for her but she is no better than Frank. Ultimately nobody else matters except her
  16. I can't with Fiona anymore. Has she ever told a boyfriend/husband that she is legal guardian to 3 minors and can't move out whenever she feels like it? For all her complaining about Frank and Monica being shitty parents who were never there, she's doing the same thing. Oh, Frank and his current lover are around acting like adults? Cool, I'm gonna hang out at my guy's place until something happens and I need to freak out because I wasn't there like the responsible adult I told the courts I was.
  17. Jessa and Ben courted for what, a year? Even though there was always a chaperone they at least got to spend plenty of time together before getting married. Jill and Derick Skyped a few times, she went to see him in Nepal, then when he got back they were engaged and married soon after. When were they supposed to talk and hang out. Jessa may have been unhappy with the long courtship but in the end I think it will be better for Jessa and Ben's relationship
  18. Did anyone else see this commercial during Johnny Karate last night and think it another fake ad? Because until the GEICO logo at the end I was honestly wondering why the guy from the accounting firm was in a peanut butter factory
  19. There's nothing wrong with cocktail length dresses (I personally prefer them) and she didn't look horrible but Anna's dress looked too casual based on how the other non-Duggars were dressed. Jim Bob and Michelle looked like they were dressed for church, not a formal black tie event
  20. The only places I've seen signs for pregnant moms are in front of stores like Babies R Us. One of the grocery stores has "mother with young children" parking but those are the spots next to the cart return, and now that I think about it I'm not totally sure if they even have those any more
  21. I really wish WWHL wasn't pre-taped tonight, because I would have loved some actual discussion about everything going on with Brandi and Kim. I got the impression Eileen thought being on the show was an interesting experiment but has no real interest in returning next season. And Vince behind the garage window was my favorite part of the episode. It looked like the safest place to watch everything play out!
  22. I hope the news that Joe is away at school doesn't mean we're subjected to more of MEchelle "tearfully" talking about another one of her babies leaving, and how hard it is for her. Bitch please. She probably has no idea which kids are around at any given time (unless they are needed or filming), nor does she care. It's not like any of them are HER responsibility. Crown College isn't much different from the TTH regarding rules, and the Bateses are nearby to spy for Jim Bob, but I want Joseph to expose himself to as many new experiences as possible without his weirdo parents around to taint/control the situation. I too always thought he was similar to JD but maybe he's paving the way for some of the younger boys (let's not pretend any of the girls have a chance to go) to get some actual book learnin' and maybe one day develop independent critical thinking skills.
  23. Did anyone else see TFDW on SNL last night? http://instagram.com/p/yA6i4DPYBj/ Aaaand, I'm moving in to the prayer closet now
  24. Maybe not a literal gun, but as the first born in a family obsessed with having as many kids as possible I'm sure there was pressure on Josh. That's not to say he's not responsible for his actions (or lack thereof). Any hints or ideas of Josh working for what he wants (remember when he wanted to be a lawyer when he was younger?) faded the longer the Duggars were on TV and he saw how easy it was to get something for nothing. Add in a cute girl who worships him and why think about the rest. Too bad reality in the form of children and not living at home had to rear its ugly head </sarcasm>
  25. it's Kristen Cavallari, and she was from those Laguna Beach/The Hills shows on MTV. She's now married to an NFL player, has 2 kids and is an anti-vaxxer. So of course she's the perfect person to gave fake TV relationship advice to a girl who seems like she only did the show so her crazy mother would stop talking about it
