  1. Thanks for the clarification! It's all still going over my head a bit but at least I have a small grasp on certain characters now (as opposed to no grasp at all). I never got that Liam is supposed to be infected with something other than the mumps so that's good to know. If Carrie's infected too (I remember the scene of her walking out of the carcass shed last week but couldn't figure out what that was all about at the time) her creep boyfriend better watch out if it's something that makes the infected go all feral. Speaking of Carrie, I think her no nonsense doctor mother is my favorite character. Besides Tucci. And Petra.
  2. I have no idea what the hell is going on! I need a rewatch binge soon. Who are the man and his daughter who's out camping (I get that they're not just "camping")? Them figuring out exactly what Liam did made little sense to me too. I mean, an idea, sure, but everything? From what he told them couldn't he just as well happened upon Eccleston after he was attacked (or been in another room) and dug his little hands into him when the attacker left? Him thrashing about seemed to have to do with the pain, not some sort of reenactment. Oh, I don't know. It's Stanley Tucci, after all, of course he knows what goes on. The teacher buying all that ice cream for, and from, his girlfriend. Brrr. He is so creepy. I wanna see Sofie Gråbol's acting chops so I hope she get something more to do soon. I never saw Forbrydelsen. And what is this about the Russian and the mammoth and papers and good god this show is confusing.
  3. They said on Norton that the show was picked up for two seasons straight away, but maybe this has something to do with it? I hadn't heard of her getting an HBO show but that's awesome news. LOVE Sharon Horgan.
  4. So, why did Claire get Hardy to hide her away in that country cottage again? She wasn't really scared of Ash, was she? I didn't much care about anything in the end. I expected a not guilty verdict since a series three had been announced, so I wasn't exactly on pins and needles.
  5. LOL! "Strictly Confidential" cracked me up the most. So cheesy. Stupid Danes. But Thailand wins. In Sweden we call it Arkiv X, which translates to, you guessed it, Archive X. Not funny, but there ya go.
  6. Not an inkling! It doesn't even sound remotely familiar. If I've ever read this trivia it's been a million years since.
  7. Considering how fast Helen put the moves on Carol it makes sense she's already planning dogs and graduation trips. Poor Carol! This is spiralling fast and I can't wait for the last two episodes. Maybe she'll make them cast Morning as well? Heh.
  8. I'm staying tuned! I've watched them all now except Erlenmeyer. But I fell asleep during E.B.E...
  9. You were supposed to root for them?! I didn't root for any characters on that show. I mean, I liked the show but every one of those people were just awful, which is what I thought was fun about it. I suppose I didn't not root for Jim and Pam, they were just low priority for me.
  10. If they're related its very distant, since Elaine is Irish and Katie is American (or Canadian?). Loving all this Harper's Island reminiscing! I was totally into the show and I thought it was actually pretty good. Not good good but it was, for the most part, a pretty satisfying horror thriller show, and how often do you get shows in that genre that are worth a damn? It was WAY better than The Following, for example, if I'm gonna compare it to something. This is the only thing I've seen Katie Cassidy in and I thought she was very good and likeable. When I see posts off the "Katie Cassidy is so bad!" variety I always think it must be the scripts or directing she's given on these other shows. And I've ben a fan of Elaine Cassidy since Felicia's Journey. Two other characters that were great were Cal and Chloe who also managed to subvert expectations and tropes you'd think the writers would put them through. One scene in particular gave me goosebumps and I choked up, and that doesn't happen a lot. Then of course there was plenty of cheese in the show too and plot holes and annoying characters like in most other shows (I'm looking at you, Madison) but all in all it was a great ride if you just went with it and didn't pick it apart. You should check it out, Cobalt! I know it's downloadable and streamable. This got me jonesing for a rewatch.
  11. The science teacher played by Darren Boyd and his curly haired girlfriend (can't remember the character name or actress name but recognise her from the great, short whodunnit series What Remains) are giving me the creeps. They are so in on it. Or maybe not it it but they're in on something alright. I'm having trouble following the plot/characters too but I kinda don't care? Not yet anyway. I'm just going with the flow and enjoy it thanks to the setting.
  12. I don't mind Rohm but I have no problem if the character is dead. This whole storyline with Jack and her and the kid was just a massive fail from the beginning. I don't want a Jack single parenting storyline either, I just wish it would all go away. I guess the best thing would be of they just moved, but if Rohm's dead then... It's all just so whatever. I really like Sarah Paxton so it's a shame they cast her in an episode with such a boring stalker story.
  13. A week, probably? I guess the optimal would be to change the pinned episode with the following one every week. Or have two episodes pinned, as we've had before, for two weeks and then switch to the following two. Choices, choices! I'm really no good with making decisions. Two episodes for two weeks like we've had is probably good. Makes the rewatch a bit less stringent and it's very fluid for most of us anyway :-) However we've tried to flag you mods down a few times earlier when they haven't been changed, to no avail! Or to late avail, anyway.
  14. If my calculations are correct then it's season finale time next week with The Erlenmeyer Flask! So pin that and then why not go ahead and make some season 2 episode threads.
  15. Anyone know how well the show is doing in the ratings? Do we think we'll get a fifth season?
  16. For what it's worth, they pitched to three network heads (TV pitch, not movie pitch) in the end, two of which were women, and the only sensible out of the three was one of the women (also lesbian). Sean and Bev's American agent is also a woman.Episodes does well with its female characters.
  17. Huh, apparently Troian is starring as one of the main characters in the Martyrs remake. I didn't even know it was being remade and now I read it's already done shooting. I love the original and I'm sure the remake will be trash in comparison but now I'm gonna have to see it. http://bloody-disgusting.com/indie/3331630/martyrs-remake-already-cast/
  18. My tastes are very varied. I could easily go for either type so Gilou may very well grow on me. Lol, the hooker and heroine wasn't very sexy, no. ETA: Just saw what I actually wrote. I would totally watch The Hooker, The Heroine the movie.
  19. It's a really, really great show. Despite being a law drama with mysteries and murder plots and the whole shebang it's very much a character driven show as opposed to its American counterparts. It's fascinating how all these people - cops, judges, lawyers - work together. Can't say I have a crush on Gilou, though! Clément is a looker, but difficult to have a crush on. I like the general absence of sex appeal. We get enough of that anyway. I'm already half-way through season 2 but I daren't go into the thread to post anything until I've finished the whole thing. I usually have a hard time binge watching non-English (or my own language - swedish) speaking shows but when an episode of Spiral ends I just gotta see the next.
  20. I feel like I'm flogging a dead horse at this point but, again, the women can mention/talk about men throughout pretty much every conversation. We're talking about just one scene where they are able to talk about anything else (and why must the only other topic be about women? People can talk about other things...). This is not unreasonable, especially when you consider how many conversations male characters manage to have that aren't about or include women.
  21. Been plowing through season one in a couple of days now and thought it was excellent. I came here to ask about what the hell was up Karlsson destroying the testamony! If it's as you say then that makes sense, but how would she know he was really guilty? Just a hunch? More than a hunch? I loved what she did with that guilty client a couple of episodes earlier. Making sure he was prosecuted even though she was defending him just because he disrespected her. It was a twist on the profession I don't think I've seen before I was wondering who's corpse (or was it just a head?) we saw at the end too. I hope you're right in that is was Laborde. Not sure how keen I'd be if Karlsson joined "his team". I want my characters morally grey and his was purely the dark side, but I'm sure they'd cook up something good even if he's still alive. I'll find out soon enough. Season two later today!
  22. "She's being humped by some laundry." The episode's also got one of my favorite scenes with Bubble, trying to explain what happened to "the mouse that's got a telly with VD." "It fell off the table when I took the mouse home." "You broke the computer?" "Yeah!" "When?" "Who can say." And speaking of Christian missionary... "You may dress like a Christian but the similarity ends there. I think you do it on purpose. How long does it take you to get the crease so crisp down the front of your jeans, you torturer?"
