  1. Haha I'm also watching the X-Files so I was thinking UFO too. Waking up to snow in Chicago today was not fun. I guess mother nature missed the memo that April Fools Day was yesterday. I'm a bit of a weather nerd, and have done some storm chasing. Storms can really be awe-inspiring if you know how to position yourself so you're out of harm's way. But I'm glad you're safe BkWurm1! I definitely think that was ball lightening. Despite chasing, the craziest weather thing I've ever experienced was of course just at my house back in my hometown. In the summer of 2007 we had a derecho pass through, which is essentially a tornado in the form of straight line winds. Trees down everywhere, no power for 5 days.
  2. I love snapchat, although I don't really know if anyone "gets" it. There's a lot of variety in how you can communicate: you can text, send a picture, send a video, use a filter, draw on something, etc. I also think it feels more personal since you can easily choose to share what you want with who you want, or send something to all your "story" which anyone who follows you can see. I can send a snap of me acting out all three parts to The Schuyler Sisters to my best friends, where as I would never post that on Facebook. It's quick, fun, and feels less manufactured than content on other social media to me.
  3. I was thinking he would maybe feel conflicted between wanting to be honest with Paul, but also now wanting to be a part of Team Arrow. I agree that with where Felicity is right now it doesn't make much sense for her to be supportive or helpful, though. Maybe it gets flipped around and ends up being about Felicity not helping the team.
  4. I hope Paul doesn't die. Maybe it was just knowing that Curtis and Felicity are going to have a heart-to-heart, but I saw that last scene more as the beginning of Curtis keeping secrets about the superhero-ing and putting a strain on the relationship.
  5. Well Thea and Felicity's relationship certainly went from 0 to 100, but I'm not complaining. Loved seeing them together. But, Felicity's reasoning for staying away from the team made zero sense to me. I'm just going to fanwank that she's lying to herself about it to make it all hurt less. Laurel was decent this episode and I mostly enjoyed her scenes with Oliver, but I don't feel as though I need anymore insight to what he's feeling. Give me Felicity's POV, please. Donna was great this episode as always, lamenting about her shoes, and comparing Felicity to a pistachio. I wish they would bring her in on the secret. Curtis was a bit much for me in the bunker at times, but Echo is so good at the comedic stuff that it didn't bother me too much. Hopefully if he hangs around the Arrow Cave more he can move past the giddy excitement. I honestly was paying so little attention to the flashbacks that I thought #Poppy had died and had to go back and rewind to double check. Sure enough, she lives. Still #blessed. "Lay down beeyach!"
  6. I don't want Laurel to die saving Felicity, nor do I want Felicity not on the team being a direct cause of her death. That would be terrible for all the reasons already mentioned. However, I do think we could see Felicity blame herself if she thinks she could have somehow prevented Laurel's death had she not left the team. This could be her motivation for coming back, and since Oliver seems to have learned to not blame himself, helping her can be a part of their reconciling.
  7. I thought I was ready for the angst, but I was not. Everything hurts. SA and EBR really knocked it out of the park with their scenes. I'm glad we got insight into Felicity's feelings, but it would have been nice to have *anyone* actually try and talk to her. Not even one Delicity scene? Especially since she's the one who seems like she'll need the most development to come around to the idea all is not lost. Still, I'm looking forward to seeing how these two find their way back to each other. I too don't like that Felicity quit the team from a character perspective, but I do like that Oliver is losing her in every way. He needs to feel the consequences of his actions. I hope we'll see that Felicity didn't quit super-heroing altogether and that she's still helping people somehow. I didn't think it could get more boring than the flashbacks, but the courtroom scenes really gave them a run for their money.
  8. I haven't seen Sense8 or Mr. Robot, but have heard great things about both. Supergirl isn't perfect, but it has been getting better and better. Melissa Benoist is terrific and the biggest reason it works. Very simliar in tone to The Flash. I like LoT more than I thought I would. They do a good job of writing for the whole team, and if you don't let yourself get caught up in all the timey-wimey stuff if can be a lot of fun. I like all of the characters here more than I did on the shows they spun-off of. Sara especially is awesome. I haven't watched S2 of Daredevil yet, but I really enjoyed S1. Very dark (literally and figuratively), often violent. If you miss good stunts on Arrow, Daredevil will fill that void. I gave up on Blindspot after a few episodes. I really didn't like the male lead, and overall thought it was a little boring and predictable. I don't mean to change the subject, but I did have to chime in to say that I just got to "Pusher" in my X-Files binge, and my Mulder and Scully feels are too real. I already know it's going to be a very slow burn, but gosh I love these two.
  9. I think the national tour starts in San Francisco next March. The Chicago production is opening this September.
  10. I'm seeing it two months and I keep thinking I should stop listening too, but I honestly cannot. I talked to Colin Donnell about it at HVFF this weekend. He's seen in twice and said it would blow every expectation away.
  11. I think they all get something just for appearing and then a cut of the photo ops/selfies/autographs they sell. At HVFF they each had a volunteer at their booths keeping count of what people were buying.
  12. Re: Felicity talk at the Arrow panel today, I was there and thought the mentions were made both out of admiration and knowing the audience would respond well. Never felt like trolling to me.
  13. For what it's worth, Stephen was just asked if it was true that he didn't know who was in the grave when he filmed the flash forwards and he said "Not true."
  14. Haha, It's a feature on snapchat that will swap the faces on two people and then you can take a picture or a video. Here's the one Echo did with Charlotte: https://twitter.com/ArrowUpdates/status/708769294151229440
  15. I just got home from the first day of HVFF and the Nocking Point party. Most of the the info from the panels has been posted already, but I can share some personal anecdotes. I got to talk to both Echo and Caity for a bit during the day, and they were both very kind and down to earth. Caity is super excited for another season of Legends. Echo and I mostly talked about Snapchat which resulted in maybe the most disturbing face swap ever. I got a picture with Stephen and David together, and even though the process is very quick, they both took the few seconds they had to say a friendly hello, ask how you were, and give a sincere thank you. Now, the Nocking Point party was awesome. David, Paul, Colin, Echo, Neal, Robbie, and obviously Stephen we're in attendance. David left after an hour our so, but everyone else stayed through most of it. I only talked to Paul for a significant amount of time. My friend and I asked him about his charity work and he just lit up. He's obviously very passionate about it. He was really sweet and oh man, that accent. The main event was a mash up of Why Don't We Do It in the Road (with much dirtier lyrics) and Come Together. It was around a 20 minute jam session, led by Brother Sal's band with Stephen and Colin on vocals, Neal on the harmonica, Neal's wife dancing on the piano, and Paul as the photographer. It was nuts. Neal did a stage dive. I was right in the front, so I was part of the group that caught him. My hands were in places I never could have imagined. Stephen can really sing, and Neal is a beast on the harmonica. It was a lot of fun. A couple videos: Stephen singing: https://twitter.com/emdavis3/status/708893635337592832 Colin singing: https://twitter.com/emdavis3/status/708897697126690816
  16. He just talked around around it. Never said he didn't know.
  17. Caity never outright said at the panel that she was coming back to Arrow. I believe she said she hoped she would, but it was in a tone that at least implied to me that she would be coming back. SA was asked who was in the grave, and obviously didn't answer the question. He did say that he had read a lot of convoluted theories that he thought we cop outs and added that if you're going to build to something all season, you have to make it count.
  18. I'm not a Jane/Rafael shipper, but I will say that I liked the idea of them much, much more last season. I thought they had better chemistry than Jane/Michael, and I liked the idea of Jane being with Mateo's father. However! This season, like you said, they've really crapped on his character and almost all the good will I had towards him is gone. I also had never really shipped Jane with anyone (Team Jane!), but when Michael told her he still loved her and always had a couple episodes ago, it made me cry so I realized deep down, I really liked Michael - just in time for him to die, knowing my luck. (That's just speculation, the line last season about him loving Jane for the rest of his life gives me anxiety every week.)
  19. Anna Torv has just been cast as the female lead in Netflix's new series "Mindhunter". Very excited to have her back on TV!
  20. Agree with your whole post, CarrieAnn. I never shipped Clexa, but I am still sad at losing what was once the most dynamic character for me. And the way it was done could have definitely been better. Overall, this season of The 100 has really been bumming me out, mostly because of the Bellamy/Pike plot. Outside of that and the Lexa stuff though, I really enjoyed the flashbacks in the most recent episode and how they tied things together. In other news, I don't know if any of you were Fringe obsessives like me, but Anna Torv has just been cast in a new Netflix series, "Mindhunter". I'm really excited to have her back on TV, and the show seems promising.
  21. I'm hoping Black Canary is laid to rest with Laurel, but if they are insistent on keeping BC in the mix somehow, this is the only way in which I would accept it. Give it back to the OG.
  22. Thanks! I wouldn't imagine keeping the juicy details from you guys. I'll definitely report back!
  23. This is what I'm curious about as well. Fortunately, I'll be at HVFF and the Nocking Point party so I'll try to get an answer :).
  24. I'm having a hard time wrapping my mind around how John Diggle Jr. could join the cast without his life changing drastically or possibly disappearing as they fix things through time. The JDJ we met was in a possible future timeline, right? And I thought it was implied that if they defeated Savage and Sara and Ray were able to come back to Star City to help, the timeline we saw would never come to pass. So then JDJ could potentially never exist, or could totally lose his archery/fighting skills if he never learns them. Or, does he stay the same but just become part of an alternate timeline? And if that's the case, how does he get back to his home? I just dk. I've given myself a headache.
  25. Edit: what everyone else said :)
