  1. Oh Patch, how typical of you, you silly, stubborn man. I can't ever see Kayla getting that excited with Justin. Just a matter of time.

I ff'd through everything else, mostly, except Jack and Jennifer. Their scenes were nothing special, but I just love them. John and Marlena -- not so much.

I caught enough of the Orpheus clan to not really care either way what happens. Oh, but maybe I missed this tidbit -- she's a mother currently? With a live baby? Hmmmmmm...@cmahorror -- I like that idea a lot, too!

  2. @Confused Fan -- glad to have you here! I, too, enjoy the folks here probably more than I enjoy the show itself most of the time, lol. I have to say I'm envious of the way your country has responded to this crisis -- may you and all your loved ones be safe and healthy.

As for me and my little fam, we're managing. Some days better than others. No illnesses -- just the isolation that gets to us. Not holding my granddaughter (Mackenzie!) is killing me, but I know it won't last forever. Just hoping now for a nice summer with some small gatherings and time spent outside. (Forget the three concerts I had tickets to, aaargh.)

How much you wanna bet Marlena pressures John into hiding him to work at Black Patch.

Yesterday's highlights for me were all the Patch and Kayla scenes, either together or with other people.  The flashbacks were great.  One thing though - those flashbacks reminded me of how long it's been since we've seen Kayla actually smile or be happy.  It feels like it's been years.

Yes, @boes! On both counts. Absolutely, Ben will be a new private dick. And I had exactly the same thought about Kayla -- her brows are always furrowed, she's always perplexed. She looked so young and sweetly in love and optimistic. I miss that Kayla. Even with Justin, there's only been rare smiles. And this story would  be so much better if we'd become invested in Justin/Kayla over time, of course. Sigh. I'll take what I can get with regard to Patch and Kayla, though. And Jack and Jenn.

I ff'd through Ben and Ciara -- they just don't interest me in the slightest. And Hope is going to be this long-suffering guilt machine now, too, isn't she? Oy. I like the idea someone had above about Justin and Hope winding up together -- would make her much more palatable.

Anyway, hoping for a good Friday show.

@kitmerlot1213 -- hush, lol! There is no endgame but Steve and Kayla. I will not permit it : )

  4. Watching yesterday's and just ran in to say I LOVED the Jack and Steve scenes. Pure love. Good to have you back, Patch.

I had to ff through the Sarah/Mackenzie scenes -- too close to home.

Brady, you have your hands full with this crazy bitch but I have no sympathy for you -- you know this better than I do.

Poor Xander. Just shut up, Eric. You may be right but just shut up.

Will and Sonny are like the "pick a little, talk a little" ladies in the Music Man, lol.

Are we REALLY supposed to believe that after how many twists, turns, and misunderstandings there is any chance Kayla will end up with Justin?  And do we really want to see all the twists, turns, and misunderstandings?  I, for one, do not.

You and me both, Daphne. I hope it's dispatched with grace and swiftness.

In my ideal version of Days Sarah takes Mickey to Africa and JJ helps her hide Mickey while working in the clinic alongside him. This would be his revenge towards Kristen for killing Haley in the first place.

Excellent, Canary! I'd love this, too.

  7. My heart broke for Sarah and the world of pain she's about to enter. And my heart went out to hopeful but anxious Xander, whose world is also about to fall apart. He deserves some karma for his bad acts, but I'm a sucker for him and his lovesick goofiness over both Sarah and the baby. I tend to live in the gray area, lol.

I wonder if they originally planned some Patch and Kayla flashbacks and cut them later. I felt cheated in that moment, too. I did love how easily SN slipped  back into Patch's manner of speaking - but it must be like a second skin to him now.

I'm afraid we're in for a Kristen/Brady-centric week ahead and I'm not looking forward to her simpering around like an aggrieved victim. Yes, she's a victim but the most insufferable and tiresome one I've seen in a long time.

WOAH !! i did not watch yesterday's episode . are you saying there is a talking microchip ? is it speaking with Stefano's italian accent ? is it like that speakerbox on  Charlie's angels ?

Haha! No, it was a robotic female voice, reminded me of the old Mission Impossible's tape destructing itself as soon as the good guys heard its message. I don't know what they were thinking, lol.

PLEASE, I am BEGGING anyone who will listen, MAKE THE STEFANO CRAP STOP!!!!  No more microchips, no clones, no brainwashed pawns.  Just stop.  Joe is gone, Stefano should be gone.

I thought this was going to end soon!!! Argh. And the whole Kayla/Justin thing seems sweet to me but come on, no match for the Steve and Kayla pairing. It's just stupid. Aaarggh.

  10. I've started watching the show in a small window as I work -- easier said than done, but when I have a quiet half hour I can do it. I don't know if it's viewing it that way or not, but this show is terribly boring, lol, even with all the drama around the microchips and the surgeries. Not to mention that I hate what's clearly coming now that the baby's identity is known.

Where's Jack and Jennifer? Can't Marlena and John go take a nice, long vacation somewhere else?

I don't know, guys, this is all trying my patience when it's already kind of thin.

Fucking hell, it's just a vicious cycle of anxiety

You can say THAT again. I have to take a Rx for it every few days it seems. It can't be good to have all of us anxious people cooped up, lol.  I'm in the Boston area -- we're all living for the warm and sunny days to spend outside, which have been few and far between this month of March. I think that may lift us all up.

  12. Well, my friends, I'm glad there's a place to commiserate.

@boes thanks for leading me over here - now I'll drop by here often. I'm so very sorry about your brother, and for his dear wife and family. I am the 6th of 7 children and I worry about my compromised older siblings every day. Peace and strength to all of you.

We are hanging in there. At first, we were seeing our daughter and her family (my Mackenzie!) regularly but for the last two weeks we've been distancing. I didn't realize how much I grew to depend on seeing the baby to lift my spirits. Yesterday we had a 5 minute visit when my daughter brought her laundry over -- thankful for small favors at this point. And thankful that her fiance -- a delivery truck driver -- lost one job and gained a new one within a day. Hopefully with our help they can get along and pay the bills for the duration.

My husband and I are doing pretty well -- kind of determinedly cheerful and kind to each other. He is an extrovert and is finding it very, very hard not to see his buddies and work his bartending job. The money isn't much -- the job was mainly for his entertainment. I'm more of a hermit by nature, so I'm able to adapt a little better, although I'm used to having more time to myself while he's at work. But as he said, "After over 40 years together, we can adapt to anything." Phew!

Love to all, and thanks for making me aware of a new place to check in every day.

  13. I decided that I'll "watch" the show via the NBC site while I'm supposed to be working, lol. My husband gives me a wide berth when I'm working, but once 4:00 rolls around, we're in the same room and bingeing (binging?) Billions : )

I loved the Abby/Anna scenes -- they don't use her much, but she's reliably entertaining, that Anna. And very handy with a shoe.

Can't wait for this crap to wrap up.

@boes - I didn't see you for a few days and started to worry you were sick. Let's all check in here every few days just to signal that we're in good shape? I like counting my chicks every so often, I guess : )

    Dear Show,

    STOP!!!

    Signed,

    What's left of my sanity.

Once again, the posters here are far more entertaining than the show. 🙂

Amen! I watched Friday's episode and was embarrassed for the actors. I can't believe anyone thought it was a good idea to have Steve come back as Stefano and marry Marlena. Who looked absolutely ridiculous -- honestly, how did she even walk herself out of the dressing room in that getup? Argh, show. Get on with it.

  15. I haven't been able to watch with my husband hanging around all the time, lol. I did watch some of yesterday's but just gave up after a while. I can't even find a storyline I won't ff through these days.

But as always, I enjoy all of you and will keep tabs on the heroes and heroines of Salem this way for now : )
