Regardless JJ will be leaving soon the mystery will probably be how but at least one of my faves will escape this trainwreck soon.

I'll miss JJ, too. I hope they leave the door open for his return.

  2. Yup. It was kind of interesting at first, seeing which spoilers were true (most were, sadly). In fairness, the interrupted episodes right after the time jump reveal didn't do them any favors -- but it's a bad idea, not executed well, and I keep wanting to rearrange everyone back to where they belong. UGH.

Gah! I really need to start doing what some of you guys do and just let the stupid and the crazy roll off my back, because the minute I try to sit down and actually get into the nitty-gritty of a scene, I'm just so angry that anybody behind the scenes would green light it without giving it half as much thought as we do here. It's their show. Don't they care about it being kind of good?

    Beautifully put, Disney.

Wally Kurth did a great job today in a powerful scene with Will.  It was very emotional & I really felt for both Justin & Will, and when he said that he still thought of Will as a Son, it really made me teary-eyed.  And again, Justin & Kayla bonding & supporting each other really hit home.  On the other hand, I am sick of Eric's glowering face, and how awful of him to swat Nicole away & act like he didn't care about her(thought she was the 'love of his life"), ugh.  Paul Telfer(Xander) plays the wounded, vulnerable guy so good...I was really feeling for him & glad Maggie was supporting him.

Oh yes, the Justin/Will scenes felt very true to life and very well done. As resistant as I am to any pairing of Kayla with someone who isn't Steve, I have to say these two actors are really selling me on the maturity and credibility of their 'second chance at love' romance. One of our best friends left a lovely widow who found her second chance a few years later and she does a beautiful job of honoring our friend's memory while building new ones with her new husband. I hope that's one road I dont' have to travel in real life.

And I've had quite enough of that beautiful baby in distress -- way too close to home, Ron, dammit.

I'm curious what story J&J are actually going to get when JJ/Casey is leaving in Feb and Kate/Abby is recurring and not sticking around but BF/Chad is.

I wonder if the rumor of Jack really being Peter Blake may come true. I wouldn't put it past this show and it would be a story for them.. yeah an awful one but what else is new?

The alternative would be the show writing them off(which I would be ok with tbh because its less damaging that way).

I hope they don't have him OD after an anguished effort at sobriety. I refuse to even have the merest whisper of a thought about  a Peter Blake/Jack switcheroo --  but I never would have believed they'd have Stefano walk around in Steve's body, either. I'd rather they write them off, too!

Kristen gonna call Gabi and offer her the shares of DiMera if she admits what she did to Lani. 💤

Whoa! SO good and soapy, yes, I bet that's exactly what will happen 🙂 I could use a break from Eric and Sarah so long as I know they're coming back in a while; actually, I'd be perfectly fine with Eric staying in Boston and Sarah comes back with a healthy and robust Mackenzie. I guess this makes way for the beginning of the end of JJ. I hate to lose the kid -- I hope he has some great luck now. But I'm ready for some solid Jack and Jennifer story.

It was a nice having a Brady John scene.   Sometimes the show forgets they are related

Yes! I normally daydream or check twitter when John is on, but there were a lot of nice moments between father and son.

I wonder if Baby Mickey got sick from breathing in all the noxious fumes of self-righteousness, bile and sexual frustration wafting off dear papa Fadda Eric.

Boes, you made me spit out my coffee again, lol. Not loving How Ron uses babies this way in his plots.

I think Casey Moss is doing a great job with JJ's heartache, grief, and anger, but like many have said, it feels false because we're not invested in JJ and Haley's big lovefest. I liked Paige a lot, and they had worked to overcome a lot of stuff (like, oh, his affair with her mother!) -- I think I cried for JJ back then a little bit. But this just feels like JJ had nothing else to do. I guess the great love stories are a thing of the past now.

Speaking of unrootable, I was hoping that Ciara's hand would slip with that drill and she'd accidentally put it through her empty head, nat that there's be any damage to anything vital.

I was hoping she'd accidentally deflate her cleavage. Honestly, it's all you could see whenever she was on screen. And how is it that she's gotten ten times worse as an actress since she's been on this show? I can't take her at all -- now I know how many of you felt about Abigail.

Was it you who met RSW at LAX?  If, so now that you've met father and son, maybe Jordan's next. LOL.

haha, yes! I didn't even think of the father and son aspect! Well, I'm flying out there again this February - maybe I'll see Chrishelle on the arm of a handsome fella who is not Justin Hartley : )

  9. Based on my copious knowledge from watching prison movies, lol, there's always a cache system in place where one prisoner is the "top dog." Clyde would never be second to anyone -- the question is, what did he do to define himself as the top dog? I bet it was ugly, whatever it was.

    P. S. Have I ever mentioned I also ran into the actor who plays Clyde at the LAX airport? He is VERY tall and imposing. But seemed very nice! (For anyone counting, that's TWO Days actors I've crossed paths with at LAX, lol.)

  10. I was bored silly yesterday, anyone else? I just don't like John and Marlena enough to have them hogging up so many scenes. It's utterly ridiculous that Stefano (I refuse to acknowledge the Patch side of this scenario) still wants Marlena. They're both too old for this obsession business. And when it wasn't them, it was Kayla and Justin (don't get me started on this plot, although they are admittedly cute in love) or Ben and Ciara (enough said). Hoping for better today.

This scene I lifted from FB still breaks my heart when you see Jon walk away. https://abc.com/shows/a-million-little-things/video/most-recent/vdka7750099

Wow, I don't remember seeing this scene - or at least it didn't make an impression on me then. It sure does now, though, yikes. Thanks for bringing it!

Like other women I knew who were doing the same thing, I was involved with my kids, did things with them both as a family and without my husband, and also did things separately with my husband.

Hell, yes. I was the breadwinner (still am, though retirement is coming in a few years, thank god) and also Show Choir Mom, Drama Club Mom, dance school Backstage Mom at recitals -- all of it. My husband was Soccer Coach and got our daughter off to school and was there when she came home to get her wherever she needed to be and to hear about her day. It was hard on both of us at different times, but the truth is it's not easy to work and raise a family in most circumstances these days.

People who are overweight know that it's not good for their health, just like people who smoke know that it could lead to cancer. They don't need anyone reminding them.

As a former smoker (4 years!) and someone who is overweight (gained 30 lbs after quitting on top of extra lbs already) -- this is the absolute truth. I've tended toward overweight my entire life. I weighed over 10 lbs at birth. At various points I've lost significant weight but have regained it. Believe me, those of us who are overweight think about it all the damn time. I think your metabolism changes -- you'd be surprised, I bet, how little some overweight people actually eat. It's about food choices and kickstarting a sickly metabolism in my view. But it's also an individual choice, and to bring it back to the show -- there's nothing Toby, Kevin, Randall, Rebecca, or anyone else could say to make it happen for Kate.

  13. Ugh, Eric -- I wanted to throw something again. There's no way in hell someone with that much anger should go anywhere near that sweet baby. Get a hold of yourself, Eric. If you're a father, you need to find out that being one means putting that little baby first. Not yourself and your goddam ego. Argh, I was incensed. I'm surprised Maggie allowed that to happen. And Xander being crushed when Sarah gave Eric the baby to hold -- ack. STOP with the baby drama, Ron.

Otherwise, let's see, lol.....Gabi's work outfit is ridiculous, even for a fashion maven. And Eli is a creepy spy. Blech.

I think it was just supposed to show that Toby was complaining about her to his friends, which both showed he wasn't actually over it like he claimed, but also because earlier, Beth had told her that if the only people they're talking about their problems to are people outside the marriage, then that's not good.

Bingo! I think you nailed that moment. It's not that Toby lost weight "without her," it's that he has a very important part of his life that he only just told her about. Then to see his texts about their exchange with people she doesn't know? Oy. Then Beth's words were clanging in her head.

I'm really happy the show got renewed!

Things COULD get better, it's not impossible, it's really not.  (After all, maybe Rafe Hernandez won't be sticking around FOREVER, right?☺️😉)

Or should I have posted this in Unpopular Opinions thread?

I'm glad, too, 'cause I'd miss you all, lol.

  16. Group think can be a  very funny thing!

How could Ciarrra have gotten even more annoying after the time jump? I feel about her the way many of you do about Abigail. I start twitching and looking for the remote (ha, first I typed "clicker" - any MA folks here?) as soon as her smug mug invades my screen. That she for one second endangered that sweet Mackenzie makes me want to throw something at the TV. Ron, stop using babies as your twisted props. I hope this business clears up quickly this week.
